Pizza Possum

I'm gonna be honest with you. This game is fun but it doesn't have all that much content. You can beat this game in about an hour tops. If you pick it up on sale its a real hoot with a friend, but just know you are paying for about an hour of entertainment. Did I have fun? Oh yes. Would I recommend it? Only on sale.

Until Steam allows for mixed reviews, this review will be negative.[/h1] [b]A fun slice that doesn't quite cut it.[/b] [i]Pizza Possum[/i] is an indie game where you run around as a possum (or raccoon) and eat food across an Italian town while evading dogs protecting their food. That's it. That's the entire game. It starts off really fun. The animals make funny noises and you unlock more and more. The game poses a challenge: try and beat the level thrice without dying. After finishing that, I was excited for the next level. But there was no next level. It's a very short game. It keeps the loop going by allowing you to get items. You do have to get a game over for those though. I played the game co-op and it was fun. Though, after getting the end, the enjoyment quickly faded. We kept playing until we unlocked all the items, but that felt really tedious. You can finish this game in an hour. For the price of €6,99, that's pretty steep. If you want to play this game, get it in a sale and find someone to co-op with. Otherwise, just get yourself an actual pizza.

Lordy, this game is just adorable. Get yourself a friend and play this nonsense for a few hours. The art is cute and all the items add to the chaos. My only wish would be for it to be two-player, and not split-screen. It's fun but when your second player gets too far away it gets difficult. I would recommend it, especially for a younger audience.

This is a fantastic short game with phenomenal dynamic audio, an amazing soundtrack, fun chase and stealth mechanics, a seemingly never-ending stream of power-ups which are all useful all the way to the end stages. The roguelite aspect was unexpected but a ton of fun. The difficulty scaling felt appropriate and not once were we frustrated with the game itself instead of our own recklessness. The music integration especially enhanced the experience immensely, and the map/floor colliders were well designed - they felt lenient enough to allow for some fun manoeuvres, yet never felt frustrating or glitchy. Also, while jarring at first, the way of seamlessly splitting and re-merging the screen in local co-op mode is well implemented. Minor gripes: Occasionally the pop-ups were a little annoying since they stopped the game completely, especially the crown ones at the beginning of run 2 and 3 - at some point you've simply seen it enough times. Also, some areas of the map felt less important than others, which is a shame - on our runs we found ourselves using the same route everytime, skipping 2(+?) areas of the game entirely. Lastly: I wish player 1 and 2 could've switched colours, because the game kept putting us in random order, which was a little confusing at times. Overall though: Great game, especially for the price!

I was just having an absolute bummer of a day trying to get some mods working on a different game, so I scrolled through my library and saw that I bought this game. I booted it up and instantly had a smile on my face. That's what gaming is all about! :)

Great couch/splitscreen game, always replayable, Forever my all time fave. I wish there were more games like this.

very short but still fun, nice idea for a co-op game

I had seen the game reviewed on TikTok and added it to my wishlist. When it was on sale, I purchased it. Unfortunately even though it was fun; we "beat" it in about 1 hr. Then followed by beating it 2 more times in the following hour; completing the entire game and having a Pizza Party. Pros: Fairly easy game, two players is 'fun'. Cons: No real instructions, you kind of figure it out yourself. Too short. No real replayability.

So cute! I'm kinda addicted to it lol. Can't wait for more content to be released
