+ Fun --- Tons of different types of crashes --- Same mission for every nation ---------------------------------------------- Greedy devs If you liked "Men of War" and looking for a same/improved game this is not it!

Wish they made more of this type of old games for old folks like me that are simple to play that had more war scenes

The game feels a lot smoother and the AI is far better. However, the lack of proper single-player game is a big letdown.

Men of War: Assault Squad Hours played: Enough to develop trust issues with pathfinding. Recommended: ✅ If you enjoy tactical stress disorders. Welcome to Assault Squad, where the stakes are high, the bullets are real (ish), and your elite infantry will absolutely stand next to a grenade like it’s a scented candle. This isn’t your standard RTS. This is the deep end. No floaties. Gameplay features: – Control every soldier individually. – Loot enemy bodies like a Black Friday sale. – Watch your squad get obliterated because Private Ivan can’t throw a grenade over a hedge. – Spend 15 minutes planning a flank, only to have your tank get stuck on a 2cm fence. – Realize you love it anyway. Upgrades from the original Men of War: More units. Better UI. Slightly improved AI. Still no idea why anyone climbs into open-top vehicles during an artillery strike. Co-op! Now your friends can suffer with you. Multiplayer: Great fun if you're into watching your carefully planned ambush fall apart when someone drives a fuel truck into your defensive line like a mobile firework show. Also, if you’re new, prepare to be stomped by a guy named "PanzerDaddy88" with 3,000 hours and a complete lack of mercy. Pros: Deep tactical gameplay Direct control of units = satisfying micro-madness Explosions are still delicious Infantry scream in 17 dialects of pain Cons: – AI drivers still think roads are optional – Pathfinding occasionally suicidal – Voice acting still sponsored by plywood Final verdict: Like Men of War, but on caffeine and vengeance. It’s war, it’s chaos, it’s accidentally friendly-firing your best unit and trying to pretend it was part of the plan. 10/10. Would command a flamethrower squad and instantly regret it again.
