This isn't quite what I expected, but it's really fun and I like the general direction the story is going. Management aspects aren't as smooth as I'd hope in that you don't get much warning when people are in crisis, but the stakes aren't painfully high on the other side of that, so it balances out. I'm glad I got this game!

This so far has been my favorite game to play on my Steam Deck while watching TV. Satisfies that itch to play a city builder style of game, but has console controls but also easy to play while being distracted by things.

I was completely obsessed with this game initially until they did the research tree update. Now the research tree is so much more difficult to get through. Previously each task was broken up into different sections, so you could work on getting your exploration upgraded faster versus having to upgrade things for your Onbu that you won't use right away. I just don't have much interest in playing now with the update, it's such a bummer.

They nailed the fundamentals, then started going off in a weird direction with the research and economy update. Plus, now it seems like they're riding on the studio ghibli artstyle to appeal for more sales. Man, well, okay. Anything I write as a review seems like it will NOT ultimately matter whatever the full version is, so I can't review this. This game has been in Early Access for YEARS now, and the change in direction feels alarming. I mean hell, the Switch trailer is from an update BEFORE this one and plays VERY differently. I cannot recommend this due to knowing how lacking the devs seem when it comes to integrity and fundamentals. If you want a game which might be so drastically different by full release, it's worth a try. Whatever.

Seeing the terrain moving past is very motion sickness inducing and it's even worse when you turn the speed up. I had to stop playing because it was making me nauseous. Looks like a cool game but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone prone to motion sickness.

Funny gameplay and nice art style. Interesting city builder sim on back of moving giant creature with ability to build relationships with the creature. Adjustable complexity with the population size player is able to maintain.

unique city builder with interesting storyline too. Traveling on the back of a giant creature, where you build your village on. Scavenge materials from the ever moving surroundings. Beside the normal city builder, you have to keep your onbu (the creature your village is built on) alive and happy. Not too difficult to get everything done and just enjoy the "ride" :P (you can add challenges to make it much harder, though)

Ive been playign this game since its early-early-access days...And even back then it was amazing. I sunk so many hours into it, couldnt pry myself away from the screen. And now they added even more, polished it up and added quests and a story....Just a great game, lovely lovely artstyle, so many little details everywhere. An engaging game loop. Theres always something to do. You bond with your Onbu. I have nothing negative to say!

I've played this game for ages now, since before story mode and I adore it. I love the gameplay and the challenges you can do, I absolutely adored the story even if it made me very sad at times. This game is cute and chill, and so much Ghibli vibes that it makes me smile. It's a great way to kill time and relax.

This game is precious, and taught me a lot about living with my environment, not just as part of it.

Having played this game for a large portion of its early access, I love the direction its taken. I like the aspect of multitasking as it is both a city builder and a survival game, but if that seems like a lot there are ways to make things easier or more difficult for those who desire a challenge. Time can be sped up or slowed down (or even paused) as needed if suddenly a lot is happening and hazard levels can be adjusted. There's of course a tutorial mode at the beginning that you can continue if you need or manually increase the difficulty when you feel ready to move on. The research tree has had a few makeovers since the beginning and I believe it makes a lot of sense, and it doesn't really bottleneck you into going about things a certain way. I've played with different strategies and as long as you are managing resources well there are lots of choices. Normally I don't like city builders but I really like the charm and feel of this one. The art is lovely, the random encounters keep things interesting, and the changing biomes or markers on the map make me change my plans fast and keep me engaged. Its one of my favorite games to play after a day at work or class when I want something interesting but nothing that will keep me wired and having a hard time sleeping at night. I have recommended it to many of my friends because I can see the love put into it. It has a high level of replay appeal if you like going for achievements or stretching yourself to see how far you can take a hazardous setting.

I really enjoy this game. Its early access and they are improving it, but its a fun take on the settlement management games. I love how you are challenged when you move through different biomes so resource management is really important.

You can tell the team has put a LOT of love and hard work into this game. from the animations to the mechanics. its a real simple game to pick up and play and see how far you can survive. But it can be a even harder game if you want to master it. They have a road map you can check out and I excited to see what else comes in the future 10/10 would tell people to give it a play through at least once.

It is super fun. I got the Demo quite some time ago and have been hooked ever since. Maybe it's a little bit of skill issue, but I think the game is little hard to multitask, and can be a very fun challange. The artstyle is lovely, and every update brings something new to enjoy. I don't remember what the game cost when I bought it. I think it was early excess, and a lot cheaper. The new price seems like a lot, and I have to play the game again to say if the price seems fair. Yeah anayways, I recommend

Super addictive city builder. The balance is a bit wonky right now but that's just Early Access :)

Citybuilder in a slightly more colourful setting. There's no other game that does the "move your city with you" better. Although it is not particularly deep, it is fairly challenging and made more so with difficulty modifiers and replayability. I would say your first game, learning the mechanics and the story, slightly overstays its time by being too long. The real strength, I found, was in the second and third game if you push the difficulties higher. Then a finely tuned true city builder with punishing choices and a ropewalk begins.

Very fun game - it's graphically/visually very cute and the difficulty can be easily customized to easier or more challenging runs. There's a lot of choice in how you can go about building your village/how you interact with Onbu (the big guy) which is really cool in the story of it all. Speaking of! - there's a story mode now that is a lot of fun and adds a good layer of context to the post-apocalyptic terrain you wander through. 10/10 - This is a very chill game that you can adjust and customize to give yourself the perfect amount of challenge.

I love this game! Been playing early access forever. It can be a calming city builder or a tense survival game - your choice. I've played a lot of different building sims and this is probably my favorite.

IDK i wanted a challenge and ended up with the first three games of death... then figured out that sacrificing my villagers apparently make them happy... then I ended up with 2 of my last villagers.

Fun early game on just know w.e u do your dino will eventually die cause the recourse in land doesnt respawn your not defending your village its literally you against the environment. biomes get harsher and anything relevant late game only upsets ur dino so it ignores you.... such a waste of potential and a waste of 30 dollars... sad thing is this game is early access but once it gets better theyll probably make it a paid dlc or a part 2.
