This game gets a lot more hate than it deserves. Sounds to me like half the feedback is from haters and fanboys at this point. Even on YouTube videos, the amount of passion some people have at this game failing is sad. If you enjoy racing games, you shouldn't want any to fail. Ofc some are also validated by their disappointment on launch. I saw the miserable state the game launched in, and I simply didn't jump on. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out. Then there are those that cling to silly phrases to just hate. Like "built from the ground up"... I saw this back when the game launched, and I was baffled as to what people think this meant. Most commonly it does not mean new assets new scans new everything, it means new engine. And that is what it sounded like they did. Ofc a silly way for them to market it as well, they should of known some people are just not too sharp to understand what this means. Like AC:EVO... its practically from the ground up, completely new engine.... And yes, they still use assets from older games just polished or further worked on. Anyway, to not keep focusing on the haters that don't know how to rate a game, I am gonna try to keep it short and to the point. Game is not bad, its not great, it lies somewhere above average to good. Some things it does really well, some things ok. Its weakest areas are not even game issues but rather game direction, as I will explain later. To outright say the game is NOT to be recommended though goes too far. I will say that I recommend the game, BUT, at a DISCOUNT. I do not believe it is worth its 70 dollar asking price, not by a longshot. And I don't believe any racing game is worth that asking price tbh. I picked it up for 50% off, and for that price I totally recommend the game. The Bads: Its simulation levels are above average. Its not bad, it gets several things right, and there are moments that the physics engine shines and leaves me surprised and feeling "wow, that was actually a realistic response of the car in that situation". But it is not particularly great either. I would say it is simply just above average to good. This is the direction I forementioned above. This I would say is its weakest point and or biggest bad. However as a result, the driving is not bad, again as I already said. And although not a simcade as it is indeed a simulator, for me it does feel like a more casual lower level approach to simulation or entry level. Be that as it may, I don't think it remains at entry level alone, as there is plenty to enjoy casually just fine in the title. The next big issue I see so far is this weird caRPG thing. Even in the few hours I played so far it looks like a bad idea. The tracks are also not amazingly detailed on their track surface grip levels etc and feel a little more consistent in every part of them than they should. AI is also trash, but, at times competently realistic. Now, getting the bad out of the way, on to the good. The best part about this game is the polish and presentation. The "paintjob" shows that it is expensive. And although the engine under it is not the best you will find, it sure is shiny and nice to look at with care and attention to its presentation. Next is the track list. As an American Studio, I like how there is a reason to kick back to this game as it has a larger focus on American Tracks. This creates great diversity and adds reason for you to have it on your shelve to throw on from time to time. The track list of 30 so far is also quite good with mostly bangers for tracks. Last of all, lots of cars. 500 on base game and with dlc its like 700+ or something? This alone should go a long way. As a bonus, visuals are also rather good, not amazing, but what I enjoy about them is that again they give me a reason to visit the game. They have a stylised approach to them instead of 1 to 1 realism to the actual tracks, and this helps diversify the title. The Horizons stylisation is evident in places, and I would say is a very nice touch. Things I haven't had the time to dive into that need more time, Career Like single player modes... Is there one? I just saw events to race in. I just want to race, if there is an actual career I really couldn't care less for it if I tried. I just want to race. Also didn't have the time to dive into multiplayer. Will definitly try it out, but not expecting much from it from the rumours I heard. But it matters little as other titles have taken that spot for me already. All in all, I would say the game does some things really good, some things average, and 1 or 2 things bad. And no, the physics is not one of them. As I mentioned the physics are ok. Overall the cars drive in a manner that make sense and are fun, and that is all there is to it. 7/10, and worth recommending to bye on discount. Now for the disclaimers: A) I race in ACC mostly and have dived deeply into plenty simulators. Of late my favourite in terms of realism is EVO, and can't wait were that goes. Whilst ACC (LFM) is my go to fix for online racing. Its a shame we have to say these things because of every hater that will jump on to say "you have no idea about racing sims"... Couldn't be more wrong with such a statement. B) If you are looking for that single racing game that you should own and nothing else, I would advise to really look into your needs and cater your expectations, this might not be it. C) If you care about absolute realism, this is not it. Go play LMU and ACC and EVO. Among others. D) If you want a good casual racing entry title with lots of cars, this is it. E) If you want to kick back from the "try hard" racing on those other more "serious" simulators to something more chill and casual (like me), then nothing wrong with adding this to your list to kick back to from time to time. The game is more than just good, it is a great addition to my racing library, and unlike others I do not sit and gatekeep like a child. I just have fun. I advise more people to follow down the same path, you will be surprised how much refrshing it is to not be an elitist. And in that way I play from the most complex and advanced sim racers (till now, they still are not perfect and might never be) all the way to the numbest arcade racer out there like NFS Hot Pursuit... If you know how to have fun and approach each title for what it is and what it can offer then you will find plenty of reasons and ways to enjoy this title. The reviews instead make it sound like the game is utter rubbish. This is not true. Again, there is a high chance this title is not for you, so before jumping in check the disclaimers above. If you fit in the category of "I just want more ways to enjoy the bloody racing wheel I bought and get my moneys worth from it whilst having fun" kinda person like I am, then do yourself a favour and pick this game up at a discount asap. Otherwise, yeah move along so as not to be disappointed. Its not an 8/10 game or something of the sort, its a 7/10 at best. So, although not bad enough to NOT recommend at all, its also not that good so as to recommend at full price either. Pick it up on a discount, and just leave the "try harding" aside and have some fun. Peace.

I'm a huge fan of racing games/titles, that's my favorite genre of games. Since my childhood I was playing only racing games and I couldn't ignore Forza titles too. First Forza Horizons, then Motorsport. The game itself is modern but sometimes from my gaming experience about racing games I've noticed some lacks of important things as what sim racing must have. Here is the list what I expected from this game but didn’t find it: No yellow or red flags or safety car. C'mon guys, it's not that hard to do, but those small things literally "put" you inside the driver's seat. Not having any kind of flag system or race control removes a big part of the race weekend feel. Crashes just happen and the race goes on like nothing. No safety car means no dynamic strategy moments or real pressure during restarts. It’s a missed opportunity to bring proper race immersion. No proper amount of engineer interactions. Just "your penalty is 2.2 seconds". That's all. There’s no feedback on tires, fuel, pace, or suggestions mid-race. The race engineer feels like an automated message instead of an actual part of the team. Even small voice lines or updates would make a big difference during longer stints or pit strategies. Imaginary tracks. What? Maybe someone likes it, but isn't it the point of racing sim to simulate the driving experience? Some of them feel soulless, with weird layouts or unbalanced corners that don’t flow well. It takes away from the immersion and challenge when you’re driving on tracks that feel more like placeholders than thoughtfully designed circuits. But to be fair, there are some good things too: Visuals and performance: The game looks stunning, with detailed car models and tracks. The performance is solid, providing a smooth racing experience. Car handling: The driving physics are well-executed, offering a satisfying feel on the track. Accessibility: The game offers a range of options to accommodate players of different skill levels, making it approachable for newcomers. Multiplayer: Online races are engaging, providing a competitive environment for players. AND I REALLY LIKE LOCK ON 60 FPS IN ONLINE LOBBIES. That makes everything fair, where a guy on microwave can compete with 7090 user. love it

Game must have improved since launch. The following is based on single payer on fanatec wheel. I have 350 hours in AC and 100 hours in LMU and automobilista2. I expected arcade of poor handling since this game was low rated. But I can say that handling is as good as automobilista2. Non of these is as sim as AC and LMU, but that is kind of the reason to play something a little more forgiving on a late friday night. This game is not arcade'ish like horizon or GRID and you can easily switch to your sim titles. In Short I can recommend this game, I enjoiy everything about it. The rule system is fine, and I would give Forza Motorsport a solid 9 out of 10. I actually suspect that this is too sim for some, but I hope people will give this a chance, as it is a very solid foundation they could expand in some years.

Not sure about how it was on launch but this is a great simcade racer in it's current state. I do think it could have some more depth to it, but in the current drought of racing games, this one is definitely nice to play for the first time in June 2025. It feels "off" somehow for a Forza game, but it is still a solid AAA studio racer with 500+ vehicles to play with.

Its okay, It feels decent if you just wanna drive and not think too hard but also dont want a straight up arcade. I don't have a playstation so I cant play GT7, it still scratched the itch but. Damn it crashes a lot. Update: Ehh, I fiddled with the settings and got it working decently, NOTE: "Run Benchmark" Is literally a benchmark and not to find a graphics preset lmfao.

Forza Motorsport 2023 isn’t a sequel—it’s a clean slate. Instead of simply being "Forza Motorsport 8," this reboot aims to redefine what the franchise stands for. It puts realism, detail, and driving precision in the spotlight. With overhauled physics, real-time weather, and a deeper career mode, it’s a serious sim built for serious racers—but one that still tries to stay accessible. This isn’t your laid-back, open-world joyride. This is about lap times, tire temperatures, and perfect apexes. Turn 10 promised a "generational leap" in physics, and they mostly delivered. Tire modeling, suspension behavior, and aerodynamics feel more dynamic than ever before. You can feel the weight of the car shifting under braking, and tire grip changes meaningfully with track conditions. This version puts a greater emphasis on practice and progression. You’re encouraged to learn the track, run clean laps, and gradually improve your skills through a revamped Career Mode that rewards precision—not just raw speed. For new players, the assist systems are customizable and helpful, but this game is definitely tuned for those who enjoy simulation-style racing. The Builder’s Cup introduces a progression-based approach. You earn experience for each car individually, leveling it up through use instead of buying upgrades outright. It’s a clever system that encourages you to bond with your machine, although some fans may miss the traditional car shopping and garage variety early on. Events are structured to challenge you gradually, with practice sessions and tuning before every race. It's rewarding, but a little repetitive over time. Visually, Forza Motorsport is stunning. Car models are razor-sharp, damage modeling is more realistic, and the ray-traced lighting adds depth to every track. Tracks like Maple Valley and Spa-Francorchamps look absolutely alive with detail. Weather effects and time-of-day changes are dynamic and immersive. Rain transforms the track surface, affecting grip and visibility in real time. It’s not just pretty—it impacts performance. Audio is equally impressive. Engine sounds are deep and unique to each car. You’ll hear the rattle of gravel, the hiss of brakes, and even tire flex under pressure. Online racing is more structured this time around, with a focus on fair, competitive matchmaking. Safety ratings and skill-based tiers aim to reduce the chaos of past lobbies. It's a welcome change, though matchmaking can still be slow. Content-wise, the game launched with over 500 cars and 20+ tracks, with regular updates promised. Still, some players felt the initial track selection lacked variety compared to previous entries. The lack of a livery-sharing marketplace at launch was a blow to the creative community, though Turn 10 has been patching in features post-release. Forza Motorsport (2023) is a strong technical achievement and a love letter to precision racing. It’s not about flash—it’s about focus. With deep physics, beautiful presentation, and a structured progression system, it succeeds as a sim-racer for dedicated players. That said, it plays things a bit too safe. Career mode, while polished, can feel a bit sterile, and the reboot doesn’t redefine the genre in a dramatic way. It’s a solid foundation, but not yet a masterpiece. Pros: -Excellent driving physics and handling -Gorgeous visuals and dynamic weather -Deep car progression system -Improved competitive online structure Cons: -Career mode can feel repetitive -Missing fan-favorite features at launch -Limited track variety early on Forza Motorsport is a refined, grounded, and technically brilliant return to track-focused racing. If you crave realism and want to fine-tune every turn, you’ll find a lot to love. Just don’t expect the fireworks of Forza Horizon—this one’s for the purists. Rating: 6/10

Great game, one of the best fun sim racers on PC. Not sure what anyone is talking about, ive played many games like this even GT on ps5 and this is easily the best fun out of a "sim" circuit racer.

Bought the game after update 20, saw fujimi videos on youtube and decided to give it a try. I'm actually very surprised on how much enjoyable this game is. Spent a couple of hours on meetups, it was extremely enjoyable. Was a bit disappointed when I saw that no single player championships have been added to the game from the release but then saw the release notes of update 21 and was very very pleased, that they've added new single player championships and they seem really really good. I'm actually very pleased with the recent effort that they've put into the game, I recommend to give it a try. I think that it doesn't deserve so much of a hate that it's getting right now. There is still a good amount of work to do (for example a good couple of car models that they have promissed to update are still look extremely outdated) but I think the recent updates are really good, it's deffinetely a right direction and the game deserves your attention. P.S. Fujimi is so so good, absolutely love it.

21 updates later its pretty alright, not worth 70 usd. Rain racing seems to have been severely downgraded vs forza 7's puddle formation, this needs to be added into the game, id make racing much more interesting. small nitpick, cars with slicks leave tire skirts with thread pattern, annoying pls fix. also, modern gt3s are a must man cmon.

CAN I GET YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE?.. i feel the need to speak up after seeing all the negative reviews. It’s easy to get caught up in the initial wave of criticism, but I can honestly say the game has improved drastically, and it’s way better than people are giving it credit for.. When the game launched, sure, there were bugs, performance issues, and missing content. But guess what? The dev team has been hard at work, and the updates have turned this game around by 10x. here is what i noticed over time. - Performance Fixes - Content Updates - AI Improvements - Sound and Visuals - Gameplay Changes to the developers, I know it hasn’t been easy, and I can see the hard work you’ve put in to make this game better. The improvements you’ve made since launch have been noticed, and I genuinely appreciate it. Thank you for sticking with it and listening to the community. Keep it up, and don’t let the hate get you down Forza Motorsport is on the right track!

I'm assuming the negative reviews are primarily from issues during the game's launch window. I've not had any significant technical issues so far, save for a moment where the Nvidia overlay wouldn't open in-game once. This is the most accessible driving and track sim out there right now, both in terms of core gameplay and its options for modifying the difficulty of gameplay. It gives a lot of leniency, if you're not looking for a hardcore simulation experience. I still think Gran Turismo 7 is a better overall package and a more premium feeling driving sim, but for PC players, this is about as close to that experience you'll get — and it's still a great experience. It's a little minimal, consisting entirely of a few racing series to complete in Career Mode and a free racing mode to use any of your cars in. The free racing mode also has the expected equivalent to a time attack mode and a test drive mode for cruising a little to learn tracks and cars. If you're unfamiliar with the series, it's different than Forza Horizon, which is even more arcade focused and emphasizes off-road and makeshift road races in an open world, rather than simulating a track and driving experience. Both games have a place depending on what you're looking for. Overall, it's great and feels great. The biggest downside being how the game is split up for purchase and the archaic idea of a "car pass" to get access to new updates to the car roster. If you're more interested in a pure racing sim, focused on the minute details of racing itself, this might not scratch the same itch as Assetto Corsa or even iRacing, but if you just have a general interest in cars, driving, and track racing, this is arguably the best pick on Steam right now.

Buy the game. You won't regret it ! THE GOOD -Stunning graphics -A lot of cars to race with -A lot of options to tune and upgrade your cars -Every car feels different -All the cars sound great -Initially the game is very challenging, and you can slowly increase the level as you improve. THE BAD -After playing for more than 300 hours, there is little or none challenge anymore for me. With every car on every track, even when starting from the last position, the highest difficulty level, all assists off, no rewinding, I usually win the races with ease. Microsoft, please increase the difficulty level. -The game needs much more tracks. Compared to other well know racing games, it's sad how few tracks there are in Forza Motorsport. I hope Microsoft includes one day at least the Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Hungarian Grand Prix, Circuit Zolder, Imola and all known F1 tracks. -The races in career mode are only a few laps. Very disappointing. Why can’t we choose the number of laps ? -All the oval tracks are ridiculously easy to win, even on the highest level. Buy Nascar Heat 5 if you like oval tracks. -A bug : I save game settings with the option rewind = yes. But when loading game settings, rewind has always the default value = no. -Annoying bug : When leaving the pits, usually the car automatically turns abruptly to the left or right. Consequently sometimes the car leaves the track or hits another passing car. -In my opinion, the recently added ‘Meeting Places’ are a waste of time and diskspace. -On very rare occasions I get an error message saying I’m out of VRAM. I have no idea what causes it or how to prevent it. -On very rare occasions the screen turns black and the game needs to be restarted. PS. I'm using an Xbox-One controller, Windows 11, 16 GB Ram, Intel I7-9700, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, Sandisk SSD.

Launched the game 10 to 15 times, maybe even 20 and out of all these times, I managed to complete the race once, I've seen indie games that are in the better state than this, black screens, game crashes, weird audio bugs that ear r*pe me, audio cuts off for no reason, game is installed in ssd as well, other games work just fine, got his game on sale, 50 percent off and still can't really recommend it...featured multiplayer loads me into the game and keeps disconnecting me at the end, this is an infuriating joke

They missed tha mark with this one. They made such an emphasis on racing but i can't find my LAP TIMES nor does the game have on-the-fly adjustability for TCS ABS EB Stability or mapping. No brake rotor thermals. Can't flash lights for endurance races. Doing a pit stop does not clean the windshield. Edit i will keep adding as i play the game: Unable to start the car in ForzaVista so i can't here a new exhaust without going through the process of starting a race. No drag racing or drag strip but has drag tyres? Manual with clutch selected but when i am driving a dual clutch transmission car (which doesn't need or have a clutch to shift gears) it still needs to be driven with the use of a clutch but at the same time when i drive something like a touring car the dog box works just fine without a clutch. Looking to the left or right in first person view should still be in first person view, it shouldn't switch to an external view. If you make contact with an NPC you will get thrown off the track and they won't even budge off the racing line, it's like an Daihatsu Charade vs Kenworth W900. When sorting through the car list the transmission should be listed. Can only do "street" "sport" "race" transmissions. where is there dual clutch 7 speed or the 4 speed auto with transbrake or a 5 speed dog box? i paid for the top top edition of Forza Motorsport that includes a "car pass" but i don't have access to the JZX1000 without buying another car pack BUG: ForzaVista often bugs out and auto clicks where you have to hit Escape to leave ForzaVista. sometimes the game freezes when applying a tune.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't a "bad" game, but it's so incredibly meh I would rather recommend you go play Horizon or go on Reddit and play one of Chemical's ports of older Forza games. I bought this game for more than half off so I can't complain much, but everything this game does - it does worse than older Horizon titles. The game looks phenomenal and it's cool to finally have Fujimi Kaido back, but frankly I'd recommend you pass on this game.

The game is not bad, but a large number of problems of varying severity kill any desire to play it. I'm not even talking about stupid bots, unfair penalties, small amount of content, dysfunctional multiplayer, non-consistent mechanics. Problems are found even in small things and cost players Hours of their lives. The developers create a dumbass quest to “run 49 laps in an indycar on the Fujimi Kaido track” and its progress is NOT saved between restarts of the game. You have to be a clown to do ZERO testing of your updates.

Good racing game if you're more into the realistic type. I wasnt a big fan of upgrading cars through usage at first but it grew on me, it gets you to get a feel for the car before you start adjusting things, and its nice to actually feel and hear the difference each race. You dont just buy the car, then every max upgrade and decide you dont like it and find something else. I like that there isnt any rubberbanding, if you're skilled you end up ahead, and it doesnt slow down the AI so you have to learn the track. All in all, I like it better than the other realistic racing sims. I'd give it a solid 8, maybe 7. Its not a game that revolutionizes but I dont think thats what I wanted.

I HAVE SPENT THE LAST HOUR AND 40 MINUTES TRYING TO ENJOY THIS GAME. I have a thrustmaster tmx which isn't a high end wheel but i have yet to run into issues with games. Well that was until this one. i have played every Forza game since the've been released , this forza got a lot of hate at the start but this game is extremely solid with lots of fun to be had. they for sure need to add Darlington, Talladega, and michigan racetracks for the nascar series, just to many small tracks not enough big tracks to run without restrictor plates. could also add nascar truck series would be amazing as well. kind of a shame they dont have more Formula 1 cars in here besides senna's 2 iconic cars and a ferarri... what about f1 bmw/ benneton jordan renault ligier brabham? or even the niki lauda era? so many good cars that they can add thatll help the game grow and have cars for those tracks from those eras. gets boring always having to drive paddle shifter cars. i want more 5pd 6 spd manual cars. they need to force races to turn off driving assists like they used to. and also bring back player banning. im sick of players crashing me while im in first and there in dead last and costing me the race, this used to be a thing back in forza 4-3 please for the love of god, bring it back. and make it so we can actually report people for driving horrible or intentionally crashing into other people.

First of all, fuck the grinding. Trying to earn money in this game is like pleasuring yourself with a sandpaper while having all your orifices violently invaded. That's all I need to say. Also the AI is so bad, its comical -like getting a train ran on you and not the good kind. I play on the hardest difficulty and I noticed that AI tends to behave like you don't exist. They will drive into you, drive in front of you, drive like they are doing a time trial and especially brake check you giving you a penalty (I love when this happens). They stick to the racing line to a ridiculous degree (probably because you're invisible to them or they just enjoy fucking with you). The top 2 AI drivers drive like they are WR pace until you overtake them, it's like they had a lobotomy mid overtake and don't care about winning anymore. The sound. Oh my fucking god. How do evolve backwards, you fix this in FH5 and then you go back to FH4 sounds? What the fuck? The sounds are so bad and robotic, it like it's being synthesised live by a robot that's trying to imitate car sounds verbally while a tyrannical overlord(turn 10) is whipping it telling it put it's heart into it. Honestly it's admirable how they made an i4 engine can sound like a fucking v12 or a v10 at times or vice versa. If I didn't find the driving fun, I would've refunded long long ago. If you can tolerate the mentally challenged AI and orifice invading grinding, there's a lot of potential in the game if turn 10 cared. The optimisation is alright, I don't know how others are having so many issues, yeah it ran like turning a book page when it launched but now I consistently get 100+ fps on a overall high setting without any up scaling on a 5800x3d+6800xt @ 3440x1440p

The cars.....the cars. So many cars and if you mess with all settings, you CAN and WILL enjoy it. Well.....that's all I have to say about that.

Awesome game, has overtaken Gran Turismo as the top driving simulator - and I've been playing GT since the first one, but they've lost their way with overly cautious changes over the years that leaves them with a dated and lifeless feeling driving model. Forza meanwhile excels at getting the feel of cars through via just a gamepad, which is very impressive. If you've ever owned a higher end sports car, you know the feeling of the tires biting in corners, and somehow Forza gets that across, while GT does. Also Forza is just flat out more fun. I played about 100 hours via GamePass and finally just bought it on Steam, so my hours are a lot lower here than what they really are - but one awesome note is that all the progress transferred over (for some reason Forza Horizon doesn't do this). I will say at first I wasn't the biggest fan of the way you level up in this game, I guess just because it was different I didn't like it, but after putting in my time, I've come to like the model - but I still wish either Forza or GT would look back to what made this genre famous, and that was GT1 and in particular GT2, and how you'd go around town to different dealers, with new and used inventory that changed, that was so much better than the dull car buying model both use now. It was fun to see what beaters various dealerships had, and if memory serves right, models could also disappear. GT has tried something like this in the new game, but everything is just blandly presented on a single page, so there's no reason to look around - no idea why devs can't figure out that it was fun to shop around and gave you a reason to visit different places. Anyways, for Forza the 'career' mode works as they often update the challenges still - not sure how long they'll keep doing it, but hopefully they'll just dump all of them into one area whenever they stop, because there's a ton of them that have rotated since launch. Anyways, this is an exceptional driving simulator, that you can dumb down to an arcade game if you want, or all the way up to needing to have a wheel. Those giving it thumbs down are probably GenY who expect to get the best car in the game from the 1st second they start playing and don't understand the point of the game is to grind and level up, earning money and cars, repeat, repeat.

I have a lot of time in other racing games from arcade to racing sims and nothing I have played has come close to this under-steer simulator

still feels like crap on a wheel, not much of an improvement over FM7 imo. GT7, its direct competitor, does it way better. too bad its not on pc.

I dont think Ive ever played a more boring uninspired racing game in my life. People call this style simcade. I call it crap. If you want arcade play NFS or Horizon 5. If you want sim, play ACC or iRacing. Dont waste the money on whatever the hell this is supposed to be.

Some of the worst AI I have ever seen in a racing game. They could care less if they are on the side of you. If you're on the racing line, they will smash you off it, and yet you get the time penalty...

Feels like the game is starting to turn things around, with the past two updates. Would really like to see the return of 3-lap drift lobbies, a complete drift rivals board, and privately hosted lobbies like in FM4. The Fujimi overhaul is b e a u t i f u l - quite happy to have it back in the game!

More good things here than bad so I'll recommend it if you can get it on sale. The multiplayer racing having practice and qualifying is great, and I've had really good racing in multiplayer sessions. Also like that you can be pretty fast on controller still thanks to the driving model and driving assists. The single player leaves a lot to be desired though.

All aspects of it are controllable especially if you have a fairly high end set of controls. i enjoy the game a lot though the lower end of the scale (g923) can be frustrating sometimes trying to control your car

This game has really grown into something special. While the AI still needs work and the career mode could use an overhaul, the core gameplay is addicting. Upgrading and tuning cars taking them from E-class and trying to compete against GT cars is amazing. I mostly play a mix of private and public multiplayer, and the handling - especially with tyre wear, fits the balance between sim and casual racer perfectly. With qualifying, dynamic weather and time of day it's a huge leap from previous titles. The updates have also improved the game visually massively (including performance), and with the new tracks and cars added (NASCAR and Indy) its hard not to recommend this great game despite its horrible start.

After all this time the game still doesn't run well. Game crashes are not uncommon. It still feels like a buggy new release.

Best Racing game that has to do with the actual track! I think the developers forgot to put the "8" in title though because it seems like ive came back in time

I feel like this game does not deserve the hate it gets. It's great. Would love to see the penalty system and ranking system receive some improvements though.

Forza is, at least since I've owned it, a great game. Up-to-date cars, a good feeling of speed, great visuals and fun challenges. The career is a bit lame and lacks emersivity. Turn 10 can still learn something from other games here. The handling of the menu is sometimes quite cumbersome and illogical, this could also have been done better, or at least taken from Forza 7. One point that annoys me is the regular disconnections. An apprentice was probably allowed to program the synchronization of the Xbox app and Steam without testing. If the sync is completely lost, it is extremely cumbersome to reconnect and link the accounts again. Good that this happend to me only one time yet. Keep my fingers crossed. All in all, however, Forza 8 is (now) a racing game worth recommending. I bought it because of the Fujimi Kaido track and I don't regret it. This track (and not only this one) looks fantastic and is incredibly fun. It's pure nostalgia for me and I'm delighted that Turn 10 went to such lengths to adapt it. The 20th anniversary update finally saves the game for good. Better late than never.

Overall, the game is very fun. I love the car leveling system, where you have to drive cars to unlock parts, and not be given them all at once. It makes you spend quite a few hours farming the cars you like the most. MY ONLY PROBLEM with this game is the sound. Inside the cockpit, it sounds horrible, and when I say horrible, it's one of the worst I've ever heard in a racing game. It's a shame because the graphics are stunning. But it really feels like you're inside a can of sardines, where you can't hear your own engine roar and only hear impacts and the engines of rival cars. Please, developers, I don't think it's that complicated to fix the game's sound equalization curve. It's simply a matter of expanding the game's image stereo and increasing the mid and high frequencies. There are also many videos on YouTube of real recorded raw sounds of cockpits where you can hear a real reference of how it should sound. I'm giving the final score a thumbs-up because there are so many cars and tracks, and there are new additions every week, but overall, I'm disappointed with the sound of this game :(

closest thing we can get for GT7 in PC in term of simcade... Really fun career mode and I honestly enjoyed the career mode more than GT7
