START AGAIN: a prologue

Without trying to spoil anything, I just want to say that this game is a waste of time. Literally. Nothing in this game actually matters. The characters are endearing, the story is interesting and it did tug at my heart strings one time. The game-play is OK. It's not very refined, but it is easy to understand and the final boss is pretty difficult. However, that doesn't matter because nothing matters. I honestly feel like I have been trolled. If this had taken me less than 2 hours to complete I would have refunded it. [spoiler] Except if you play the next game and pay attention to the start, you might have a revelation. [/spoiler]

Coming here from In Stars and Time I wasn't really sure what to expect. Would it be a condensed version of the full thing? Would I enjoy it after playing isat? Well, I ended up enjoying it a lot. It was similar enough to isat for me to feel like I wasn't even skipping a beat jumping into it, but it was different enough to have me wondering what was next. There was art I hadn't seen before, and new interactions that aren't in isat that really made the game adorable as well. I recommend the game, and would say you're good to play this either before or after playing isat.

Timeloop RPG. Handled very well. Towards the end I was actually getting into the character: skipping through dialogue I'd seen before, and whenever something new happens going "Oh oh! Something new!" Great design, characters, music and gamneplay.

its a good prologue, you should play it before playing the game, kind of like yakuza 0 is to yakuza 1/kiwami, it sets the story up in an even better way, but its still extremely good even if youre in the middle of playing ISAT, basically, a great prologue with different mechanics that gives a new way to see the start of the next game :D

Charming little game. I like the characters. Haven't played the other one but if it's indicative of the greater game, then I'm sure I'm in for a treat. My one criticism: make her wrinklier.

I bought this game because I've really been wanting to play ISAT (and it was on sale for $2), but I'm waiting to finish playing the game with a friend. With that being said, the combat mechanics feel nicer without being too generous. What I really loved was that there were teasers about the party dynamics in the game that didn't spoil anything for me (i.e., the context for Siffrin's eye-patch, Isabeau's feelings, Odile's beliefs) which is great because I do want to learn more about these characters too. I know there's going to be a lot to learn in ISAT, but I really enjoyed what I learned here as well.

It's kind of just a paid demo which is. odd. I would however say it's worth the money as it gives a pretty different view of things from In Stars and Time and that's definitely interesting if you're already a big fan of In Stars and Time.

What can I say that I didn't already say about ISAT? This game and these characters in any form are great.
