Deep Sky Derelicts

Very fun but very imperfect game. I would fully recommend it considering the cost. The mid game feels the toughtset and by getting level 9-10 you really feel the power of your characters.

It hurts to give this a no. Perhaps it's just not for me and I don't like giving negative reviews in that case, but there's a few issues with the game that I feel like made it not enjoyable. The deck building was a little wonky but not unbearable, and could be rewarding. Card draw was king but that's kind of standard, especially when it's hard to thin out your deck. I felt like this made the leader class basically indispensable, which also made them basically just sit there passively buffing people and playing inspire over and over (chance to give other characters +1 action and they draw more cards), incredibly powerful. My major issue was the difficulty was all over the place. Sometimes you'd be over levelled and stomp something and that's fine, I actually enjoy that. Sometimes you're even or they are a little stronger and it's a good fight.. ..Sometimes you're on a derelict that's your level and the only one you can do and you run into 4 guys who stun lock your entire team repeatedly (this is why Darkest Dungeon gives you stun resist after you've been stunned, enemies get it as well) while healing themselves and taking 2 actions per turn each so they can beat you to a pulp and your only option is to run away. Maybe that's the fun of it though and maybe I'm missing something or missing the point. Maybe I'm supposed to build more evade based or something, I'm not sure. That's why I am even hesitant giving this a no. I wish steam let you give "meh" reviews. I think "mostly" positive is a fair analysis of this game. You might enjoy it.

Levels 1-3 are good but 4+ is a nightmare. Items are trash 90% of the time. Recruiting a new merc feels like a chore because they can have a specialization that you cant get rid of. Overall lame game. Feels like I wasted money and i bought it on sale.

Great game, but there seems to be a somewhat gamebreaking bug. There's a feature where you can craft tools, but any items I attempt to craft relating to medical tools bug out and cause the game to get stuck in the crafting UI. I don't get the item if I try reloading the game.

Incredible fun. Evocative art and setting. I enjoyed Deep Sky Derelicts tremendously.

Sci-Fi version of the Darkest Dungeon, I hope there will be more content, but enough for now!
