Despite the 1.0 release its very much an unfinished game. for whats there its fun but lacking in much of the polish of a fully released game

Game was abandoned nearly as soon as it launched. Developers are ghosts now, probably working on another cash grab game to release. This could have been an amazing game if we saw bug fixes and content updates but I doubt this will happen. Real shame, cannot recommend at all.

There really, REALLY NEEDS to be a "meh" rating on steam. It's a good game lacking polish, and if it had that bit of polish even in the form of releasing more town space (empty lots) to build up as DLC, it'd be worth buying any time. As is, don't buy it unless you're paying half price or less. IDK how people are running into so many bugs, I've recently jumped into it again after a long while and I have to say it's a finished 1.0 release. It works great, it works as intended, there's just a problem where the basic debt based gameplay loop is annoying and lacking in growth opportunities. There are additional plots to use by the looks of things, but I have no idea if you can even buy them because I'm still on the first property. This should have been a focus on how things really were, but also converting an entire town into a tourism based economy. Breathing life back into it, so to speak. So this game, its primary feature it was lacking on, was plans for the future. That's why it felt so unfinished, unpolished. It was always lacking a plan for the future. So, no, don't get this game unless it's on sale or you find it in some sort of bundle where you get a whole bunch of games for the price of one.

Being from the UK and born in 80s I can say this does remind me of that era during 90s and has a charming vibe. I initially thought it was crap then played some more. Also thought the wheelbarrow as transport was weird but it grows on you. It has a unique graphic style that you’ll know if you played jalopy which is pleasant in itself. I don’t really know how to describe it but it’s a chill type of ‘do stuff at your own pace’ vibe. It’s nicely looped in terms of how the days play out and a decent sense of progression as you finish the house and get a tenant. Even after that though the house deteriorates so you need to maintain. It’s a pleasant game to chill with after work and to keep coming back to. Take it for what it is and you’ll have fun I think.
