Absolver - Adalian Forest Pack

For 3$ this is a nice way to show support to one of my favorite games of all time~ You get 2 decent looking outfits and a handful of silly emotes The starnight sword is just a blue version of the river gladius ( I prefer the river gladius honestly) but nothing to complain about for such a small asking price, especially considering all the big content updates to the game will be free.

I recieved everything from the DLC except the black mask. I kinda bought it just for that black mask just not to get it. The pack overall is allright, the emotes are great. I WANT THAT BLACK MASK!!

The devs say they don't want to go the paid DLC route for in game levels and content. But if it supports this game's life and if it brings back players, I'm all for it. This isnt much but I got the game for a friend and the DLC in hopes it helps. If they released a paid DLC with more content, fighting styles, and more, I'm sure the community wont mind, given the life of this game and its potential. This message might not get to the devs, but in case it does, we'd rather pay and see this flesh out a lot, rather than have free content once every 3 years. Full support from me, at the very least.

Good equipment options for a great game.

I remain somewhat down on the game itself, but if you're enjoying it this little DLC is pretty good for what it costs. Both the Caller Chief and Lead Dancer sets are beautiful sets, that also combine well with pieces already in the base game. (Though I also have to report that the plain black mask in the Caller Chief pictures does not come with the DLC.) In an alternate world there would be more of these cosmetic DLCs and Absolver would still be polished and developed. Alas.

Ok, so... I want to like this pack, because it's a nice fun little way of showing support for the game. The emotes are great, and the outfits look cool, but I do have to take issue with one point: "All equipment pieces and weapon have the same gameplay stats as gear already existing in-game and offer no gameplay advantage." Now, yes, they are all just reskins, but to say they offer "no advantage" is a tad misleading. The forest caller outfit is, and has been my personal outfit for quite some time, it's good for what I do and fits my tastes. It took me two solid months of farming npc's to get, and now here it is as part of a pack for $3... Now. while yes, I'm a little salty that it had to be that particular outfit, I'm more purturbed that it's a set with some decent stats that any new player can just have, and which will drastically affect their early game experience. Add to that the Dancer outfit which is a fast speed outfit with some decent defence (The base version of which takes a fair bit of time and effort to assemble, because Escence farming is time consuming process), and a sword which is also pretty good (S-class for Khalt, and only 3 shards to summon) and you have some pretty good starting gear for new characters. That just *feels* a little wrong to me... Absolver's gameplay has a rags to riches feel to it, but for just a bit of cash; a brand new character can have the "riches" (and stats) to bully new players who haven't picked up this pack, if one is so inclined. maybe if the oufits & weapon were locked behind some sort of level, or gameplay milestone, I'd feel better about it... That aside, the items look pretty, the emotes are fun, I'm probably gonna just stick to my original Forest Caller outfit, but I'm keeping the Starnight sword, it's got good stats.

I purely bought this because i love the game and the downfall expansion was free so i wanted to give the Devs my support. Decent costumes.

The outfits look really nice, but I'm ultimately disappointed that you can't change the color of any of the pieces and that's what I was looking the most forward to when they were announced. Being included with a weapon and a nice batch of emotes however, the price is very fair and generous.

C'mon, at least let me dye this! The fact that you can't dye this makes it inferior to the ingame items! Nice for the sword, i wont have to grind pvp to get a weapon suiting my style then. I like the bells on the sandals and the sound they make, but this has replaced the clunky sound of metal armor, no? Or at least they can't be heard together. The emotes you get too btw

Exactly what it says on the tin, only buy if you want to contribute to the dev or if you like the specific look of this stuff - tbh it looks pretty darn nice, and the emotes are kickass, for £2.09, it's a pretty good way of donating to the devs. It's not much more than that, and it's honest about it, and that's appreciated.

Glad to support such a great team by buying a bit of cosmetics while getting all real content update for free, it's a steal.

Sucks it's not dyeable. But hey, support. But seriously, make the armor dyeable, they're so niche in their palette you can't use them with anything but their own sets. Basically buying the DLC for the sword and the emotes cause the armor is just there to take up space in scrolling.

Nothing bad nothing great but it's 3$ so i can't really complain. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i mean,its not anything particularily groundbreaking. the set(s) isnt overpowered in my opinion,and its pretty cheap. I mostly bought it so that the devs could fill out the game more. but the sets look pretty,and the parts can be pretty well mixed and matched. cool sword,too. 7/10, would dance and call again

Honestly this game could have more of these packs because I think the community really wants to support this game. Also I really like that the equipment offers no gameplay advantages.

Compared to what 3 bucks give you in other games, this is actually pretty good. And you support developers who actually care for their game. 10/10 would spend again. Edit.: Game is not cared fore anymore. Forget what i said.

Forest is unhappy with this dlc however then they pulled out the jojo poses

Outfits are pretty ugly for the most part, the sword looks okay, the emotes on the otherhand, are straight F I R E. It's only a couple bucks and it helps support a great game, that's only getting better.

outfits are in reality much brighter than on the pictures.

I enjoy the cosmestics. River Gladius Reskin is super cool looking. :D
