Stupid Bug - game worked fine on release played for months here n there / off for few years now cant play coz every time i load game it starts then shuts down / DEVS NEED TO FIX THIS CRAP / should not be on us the players who pay for this shit to find a fix for the game devs broke after release / only fix that has worked for me is to unplug from modem to start in offline mode / unplug modem cable plugging back in after game boots up crashes game soooo broken ! will change to thumbs up if devs fix issue

XCOM 2 but with more stealth aspects, game is definetly janky at times but if you enjoy xcom you'll enjoy this

a little XCOM 2 with a little 1990s commandos. Very complex for ironman settings. Nice overall, I recommend.

Great turn-based strategy espionage game set in my favorite decade. It's too bad they never came out with PD2. TBH though, I got stuck on the Baghdad mission back during COVID because I couldn't figure out how not to lose a team member and have yet to complete the game, although it is still high on my "memorable gaming" list

Heavily influenced by XCOM, certainly not a bad thing. Scratches that espionage itch... or maybe that's the itch I got when I was duped by a honey pot.

I'm really enjoying this--nice solid turn-based tactics, not terrible story/acting, and great level of detail. One thing I actually really loved to do in X-Com was zoom in & catch all the little details put into the environments. It kind of really brought the world to life. Phantom Doctrine catches the "it's the 1980s but your aesthetic hasn't moved far past the 1970s" feel SO well. The wood paneling walls! The intersection with real-life 1980s Cold War politics is a nicely done, too. I'd say it's worth getting if you love turn-based tactics games.
