Absolutely incredible game. It was so beautiful and immersive, the design and music and story and characterisation was beautiful, there was just enough player choice to keep me hooked without having to rely on action or stealth like a lot of other games. Honestly not sure I will ever recover. The story was so rich and immersive and there were endless new settings to explore. Going to miss Sean and Daniel

I liked previous LiS games and wanted to like this too. Episode 1 was probably the best, but then it goes downhill. By Episode 3, Daniel's character is little more than an emotional plot device. Most people know kids who have lost a parent or gone through tough situations. Some act out, but the consequences usually aren't life-threatening. That's very different from the kind of survival scenario presented in this game. I suspect the writers have little experience with kids who've had a parent killed in front of them and are forced to struggle just to eat or avoid freezing to death. Kids in that situation aren't stupid. They grow up fast out of necessity, and they learn very quickly to recognize danger and avoid it. But Daniel doesn't behave like that. No matter what you do, his actions will defy even a child's logic of survival, because the writers need him to move the plot toward its next crisis in order to heap more and more abuse on you/Sean. The result is that Daniel doesn't feel like a real person. The longer I played, the less connected I felt to him and the more aware I became of the scripted reactions designed solely to trigger emotional responses: worry, awe, frustration, sadness, joy, wistfulness. Whatever the writers want you to feel in the moment, that's who Daniel becomes. As the game progresses, Sean's relationship with Daniel starts to feel less like a brotherhood and more like a battered caregiver, trapped in a toxic emotional loop with someone who has no stable identity or reciprocal empathy. Even in a high-brotherhood, high-morality playthrough, the increasingly rare moments of kinship feel like little treats meant to keep you hooked, just as a narcissistic abuser would offer. Ultimately, there is nothing deeper to Daniel's character than whatever emotion a given scene is trying to extract from you.

I think I can honestly say that this is my favorite game out of the whole Life is Strange series. I am still amazed by it even years later and I wish that it was a lot better received when it first came out, but I suppose it was a lot different compared to the first couple of games. I was really surprised with how many different options there are for which way you want to take the story and the amount of endings that you can get to into this story, it is quite impressive and it feels like there's so much depth to it. To top that off, then you have the brotherly bond between Sean and Daniel and just seeing how many different ways you can take that with all the big and little differences in how they interact with each other, there's just so much that was given to it. Then when I look around at all the different places that Sean and Daniel travel to throughout their adventure and just seeing the world around them and seeing how it was all put together, it's just so breathtaking. I have played the game again after my first playthrough and I find myself just getting totally lost in the scenery sometimes, I think episode 5 is my favorite for that. I also went through and did a lot of the drawings for Sean and I was very impressed with all of it. It all looks so nice and it's got a unique artstyle that I really liked. As much as I enjoyed the other games in the series, there is just something about this one that just feels perfect to me. It is one in my mind that I think is going to be hard to beat as my personal favorite.

Played the first episode when it came out on Xbox, never had money to buy the rest of the episodes until now. Playing the entire series for the first time was hella nostalgic, reminded me of me and my brother relationship and the amount of hours i spent replaying the first episode just because it was that good to a young mind like mine. I think I played the first episode around 20 times trying to do and see everything. I'll stand by it to the day I die, this is the best game ever made. Best in the series. Never cried to a game, but damn. This game is a true masterpiece, and I wish I could get a lobotomy just to play this for the first time again. The fact that this game is not a overwhelmingly positive is such a shame.

Better than the first LIS, beautiful game, 10/10 story, actually has different endings depending on how you raise Daniel.

This game was somewhat entertaining to play through with my partner for the first time, but I do not plan to touch this again when comparing to the first one. TL:DR - Debatably fun for the first time, if you are a fan of the franchise, but don't see how anyone would want to replay it. Pros: - Unique story when comparing it to the first LIS game. - Graphics and art are just as good as the first installment. - Multiple different options to go through variations of the story, if that is what you like. Cons: - Daniel is so fucking annoying. Like, I don't think I have ever been annoyed as much by a fictional character in my life. I get that "he's a kid" and "him being annoying is part of the experience", but I signed up for a fun game. And I gotta say, majority of this game's plot and the headaches that come with are purely out of Daniel just being a terribly written / behaving character. - The endings are meh. I get that with how the story is written, there are only so many options for endings, and nothing will be "perfect", but every ending is either awful, or bittersweet, leaving a feeling of unsatisfaction. - This game is ugly. Maybe it is just me, but I like visuals in my games, and I can respect wonderfully designed environments. Again, I get that it is the story, but the last 2 episodes take place in borderline barren desert. Just not a very good looking or fun looking environment to appreciate, again, when compared to the first.

ice raids in the united states are currently at an all time high and i strongly recommend, if you can, attending a protest. if you are unaware of what is going on in the united states right now, i strongly recommend educating yourselves as there are plenty of resources online. if you simply don't care, i strongly recommend getting your head out of your ass. if you've played the game, you know why i have decided to write that as my opening. if you haven't played the game, i recommend you do so, as it is still, in the great 2025, unfortunately relevant and could hopefully open your eyes to the perspectives of immigrant-born american citizens/immigrants. this game is extremely heartbreaking and is a rollercoaster of emotions. i need to know more about the people who wrote this game and how many tears were shed over during the development of it. i can't imagine writing the story and not getting super attached and emotional over it. sean and daniel are my sons now. this is actually the last life is strange game i had lined up to finish. yes, i even played true colors AND double exposure before this. i don't know why i left this game last, but it did not impact the experience and does not tie into the other life is strange games... kind of. there are a couple of references and a life is strange 1 character does show up at some point during the game, but not knowing them will not impact your experience. that being said, this is my favorite life is strange game of all time. being a poc immigrant living in the south, means that i have also, at some point, experienced the racism sean and daniel experience in this game. albeit, not to the same extents, but it does make this game extremely relatable. and painful to play at times. living in the south also means that i am friends with a lot of other immigrant pocs too, mostly hailing from south america like sean and daniel. thinking of my family, friends, the people i love going through what the diaz family goes through in this game is heartbreaking. anyone going through that is heartbreaking. so much of what is on the news right now is BOTH documented and non-documented immigrants getting forcefully removed from the so-called "land of the free" for days on end. families being torn apart. millions of people in detention. an insane amount of racial profiling. it's disgusting what is going on right now. what daniel and sean go through? people are going through that in real life too. a million times worse! remember that. i hope that you, reading this review, decide to play this game. it doesn't have to be anytime soon. in fact, you could watch a gameplay of it on youtube too. i think that if you personally have never experienced... racism or are bigoted but open to change, you should play this game. i think if you like hard, hitting stories, you should play it. if you like life is strange, play it. it's gay at times (i know our fanbase). i think everybody should play it. yes, like the other life is strange games/choice-based story games, it's pretty linear... but it's a linear ride through a good story. learn from this game. wolf brothers forever! awooooooooooo

I absolutely loved every single part of Life is Strange 2. The entire story was incredibly compelling, especially watching how the two brothers, Sean and Daniel, survived and learned about rights and wrongs through their journey. I honestly don't think there's a better game out there that so powerfully builds on the trust and bond between brothers, even when they're facing immense challenges. Without the rewind mechanic that was in the first game, I really had to sit and think about every choice I was going to make. Knowing that once a decision was made, there was no going back, added such an intense layer to the gameplay. It genuinely made those choices feel weighty and impactful, and because of that, this game definitely begs for more than one playthrough to see all the different outcomes. The emotional impact from this game was immense; it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. By the end, I even found myself crying, which really speaks to how deeply invested I became in their story. Life is Strange 2 is a masterclass in emotional storytelling and character development.

This is my first actively negative review. This game has some really well down parts but overall all of the characters feel too melodramatic and choices feel forced the the results of those decisions also feels contrived. Probably my least favorite game in the LiS franchise.

A beautiful well written emotional story. It explores brotherhood, identity, and harsh realities of growing up in a world that is divided. Unlike the other LIS games this one has a more political story, touching on the subjects of racism and immigration. Sean and Daniel's bond feels real as it grows and changes based on your choices, the people and friends they meet along the way are memorable and complex. The soundtrack and visuals are decently beautiful. Definitively give this game a try if you love the LIS series or just love choices matter story games.

One of the best games I´ve ever played, from start to finish, completely unterrated yet one of the best on the LiS franchise. It hits even harder when yourself and family are immigrants too (even tho Sean and Dani are both americans, they both face racism still) Very well written, one can feel identified in both, the siblinghood is also very much real.. And even today the events in the game happen IRL, now more than ever, that´s why I love this game, it´s a masterpiece.

A good story, well told. I cared about the characters more than I did with the earlier games in the series, and overall found it highly engaging and impactful. I will at some stage try the later games in the series, but expect I have already experienced the pinnacle.

LIS franchise always hit me hard. story rich, side charater may not effect too much to the story line but everytime i choose the wrong choice and have a bad consequences. i feel hurt in my heart. this game also teach me way better than bullshit english lessons on the class, im not native english speaker but after playing so much of games especially LIS series, i am confidently to say that i can give a fuck the english on the school. LIS teach me alot of think, like you must have your responsibilty for what you did, sometimes, being no mecry could lead to a better result. etc. 14 hours worth of my life. love this games
Life is Strange 2 – 100% Completion Review
All achievements earned, all collectibles found, all endings unlocked across all episodes Life is Strange 2 is about choices, but not in the usual way. It is not about what path you take. It is about what you teach someone else to become. Completing it fully brings that focus into sharp relief. You play as Sean Diaz, a teenager forced on the run with his younger brother Daniel after a traumatic event. What follows is a road trip across a fractured America, one that uses politics, poverty, and prejudice not as backdrop, but as core themes. It pulls no punches, and while not every moment lands cleanly, the intent is clear and often powerful. Your relationship with Daniel is the real mechanic. Dialogue, actions, tone, and consistency all shape his growth. He watches you. Learns from you. Mimics you. A full completion run means experiencing every version of who Daniel can become, and each ending hits harder for it. Exploration and collectibles are light, but meaningful. Drawing moments return, and optional items unlock subtle worldbuilding. Achievements often tie to quiet, missable scenes that reveal who these characters really are. Not every episode is equally strong. Some pacing issues linger, and the episodic structure shows its seams. But the emotional core stays steady throughout.
