The game is overall amazing, definitely a good continuation of the first game. I had a fun time romancing John... 10/10

Diving into The Enemy Within felt like stepping into a gritty, interactive Batman noir where every decision weighed heavy on my conscience. Telltale’s signature style of storytelling—branching paths, complex characters, and moral ambiguity—gave me a fresh way to experience the Dark Knight’s world, far from the usual punch-and-grapple action. The narrative gripped me from the start. This wasn’t just another villain-of-the-week saga—it was a psychological chess game, with the Riddler and John Doe (soon to become Joker) playing the darkest moves. The way the game blurred lines between friend and foe kept me second-guessing every alliance. Would I trust Amanda Waller or keep my distance? Could I redeem John Doe or push him further into madness? Those choices felt personal, raw, and sometimes gut-wrenching. What really hooked me was how every choice shaped Batman—and Bruce Wayne—in meaningful ways. From the way I spoke to Alfred, to how I handled criminal interrogations, it all added layers to my version of the hero. I found myself playing cautiously at first, then experimenting with darker, riskier moves as the stakes grew. The tension between Bruce and Batman was powerful, too. I felt the pressure of balancing a double life, with consequences that could unravel everything. The voice acting and writing were top-notch. Troy Baker’s portrayal of John Doe/Joker was chilling and heartbreaking, capturing the chaotic unpredictability of the character. Kevin Conroy’s return as Batman gave the role a gravitas that made every scene feel weighty. The supporting cast—Lucius Fox, Gordon, and even Amanda Waller—felt fully fleshed out, each with their own agendas and secrets. The game’s focus on relationships made the experience feel alive, like I was part of a dark, unfolding drama. True to Telltale form, gameplay is about making choices, solving quick puzzles, and quick-time events. It’s less about physical action and more about emotional engagement. While some moments felt a bit scripted, the storytelling was so strong I barely minded. Visually, the comic-book art style suited the tone perfectly, with moody lighting and expressive character models. The soundtrack matched the suspense and emotional beats flawlessly. Batman: The Enemy Within isn’t for players craving nonstop action, but if you want a deeply personal, psychological take on Batman—one where your decisions really matter—this is a standout. It’s a dark, twisting journey through Gotham’s shadows, where the line between hero and villain blurs, and every choice can tip the scales. A gripping, character-driven Batman story that lingers long after the credits. If you love narrative-driven games with tough moral choices, this one’s a must-play. Rating: 9/10

Story-wise, it is good. I genuinely would rather play an episode of this than scrolling endlessly on a streaming application just to end up watching something mediocre

I've been wanting to play this for a while and it did not disappoint. I actually felt the consequences of my actions and the story had such a punch. So many things felt wrong but right all at the same time, making the choices feel just a little more human. 10/10

Fascinating follow up from the last game. The story is just as intriguing as the last, with a interesting twist on many familiar faces. Definitely recommend this too. It's even got me playing again to see other endings.

What an awesome game, I know this review is super late, but it still stands true. Telltale games in general as a blast, with twists and turns in the story and even some "OMG WHAT?" moments when they happen. Highly recommend this and the previous batman game, they're a blast!

i truly enjoyed this game a lot, it was a lot of fun playing a game where joker is sorta friends with bruce/batman. i would defenitely recommend this game to any DC fan.
my only issues with the game was the ending. it was pretty abrupt, and there were certain characters where we just didnt get any closure with, like catwoman. The main thing I disliked is that no matter what Joker is forced to turn evil, and i know thats just who he is, but i think it wouldve been so cool to finally see joker work together with batman and be sorta good, yknow. lastly, i HATE that alfred even thinks about leaving Bruce, i myself dont think thats in character. Alfred would never leave Bruce no matter what. so i dislike that you have to choose him or batman, and that both isnt an option. but outside of that i absolutely loved the game!! 9/10
This game is neither bad nor excellent—it's somewhere in the middle. Personally, I preferred the first part (Batman: The Telltale Series) because in this second game, I didn’t enjoy the story involving Waller's Agency or some of the villains. The decisions felt more negative and complex, and I wasn’t excited about playing as an undercover agent. I prefer being Batman, using his cool technology and protecting Gotham City. The story isn’t bad, just not very compelling for me. The romance or friendship with John Doe (Joker) didn’t really hook me. In episode 4, I chose not to trust Joker, but the story became more violent and revenge-driven. I replayed episode 4, choosing to trust him instead, but I didn’t like that either—because the agents killed him. The gameplay could be improved visually during action scenes. It would help if keys like Q, E, Shift+E, and Shift+Q turned yellow after being pressed, like the directional arrows (up, down, left, right). This would make it easier to follow the prompts. I encountered some bugs—for example, there were no Spanish subtitles when Jack Ryder was speaking in the news. Also, some parts weren’t translated, and I had to read them in English. Many thanks to Telltale Games, DC Comics, and Warner Bros for this experience!

Absolutely amazing! It's much better than the first game in every aspect. The annoying planning sections where you have to scan every enemy to plan out how to deal with them? GONE The meaningless dialogue that doesn't take you anywhere because the story beats are pre-determined and the game doesn't let you stray off the path? GONE The slow pacing of the story in chapters 3 and 4? GONE The black-and-white dichotomy of characters where there's a clear trend of who are the good guys you should side with and who are the bad guys or soon-to-turn bad guys? GONE I can't emphasize this enough. If you didn't like the first game too much, it was probably because of one or more of those factors. Batman: The Enemy Within genuinely heard the criticism and got rid of all of its problems to provide players with a fresh, gripping, and genuinely thrilling story that WILL get you hooked. If you have any interest in the Batman universe, however small or large it may be, please, PLEASE give this game a chance!

compared to the previous game, this feels so much better, albeit you still end up where you're supposed to, but the relationship with characters feel better in contrast and overall feels much more immersive, absolutely enjoyed this game. solid 9/10.
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕓𝕚𝕘𝕘𝕖𝕣 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕪𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝕚𝕟 𝔾𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕞 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖... 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕥 𝕒𝕚𝕟'𝕥 𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕥𝕥𝕪!
Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within isn’t just a sequel; it’s a reinvention of the Batman mythos that dares to twist familiar faces into unfamiliar roles. This game invites you to step into Bruce Wayne’s increasingly blurred duality, where your choices shape not just outcomes, but the very psyche of Gotham’s key players; Bane, Harley, Joker and even Bruce Wayne himself. The narrative is the crown jewel here. In a genre saturated with predictable beats, The Enemy Within gambles everything on moral ambiguity, much like most of the other star games of Telltale. The game is complete "point and click" mayhem with a lot of quick time events scattered throughout. The evolution of John Doe into either a tragic antihero or full-blown villain is a masterclass in interactive storytelling; and if you know anything about the Joker you'd realize that the slightest turn in the wrong consequences with this guy can mean a lot of deaths. His descent (or ascension, depending on your decisions) is less comic book cliché and more psychological case study. Telltale builds tension not through brute force but through manipulation, loyalty tests, and fractured friendships. Mechanically, the game sticks to Telltale’s proven formula — dialogue choices, QTE action sequences, and detective mode segments. While the gameplay won’t wow those seeking deep mechanics, it serves as a sturdy scaffold for the story to really shine. To me, The Enemy Within is similar in many ways to side movies about Gotham... like the movie "Joker" where Joaquin Pheonix delivers an absolute Oscar-worthy performance where we can see firsthand how Joker (or in the game, John Doe) descended into complete madness... In this game, however, that descent can either be graceful or chaotic, depending on choices you make as both Bruce Wayne and the Batman. It's a solid 9/10; let's just say these telltale games just keep getting better all the time... Sad that the company went silent for a few years now, cause I've been really enjoying these movie-like games lately.
