Battlefield™ V

I have not played online yet but the campaign was pretty fun. It is not realistic. The graphics are really nice too. A game to hop on for a bit and shoot some bad guys is pretty stress relieving. Do not do that for too long though, it gets stressful after a bit. Overall okay game, not the greatest I have played but if it is on deep sale it can be tried. For sure not worth the full price.

Bad game, spent more time trying to set it up than playing due to shitty fucking EA Launcher and Anti Cheat giving me countless errors, has a low count playerbase making you be prone to 4 lobbies full of players only, first multiplayer match experience was awful, planes spawn camped the whole match and were mowing down infantry, i died more to planes than anything else, if you wanna pick a war game that has multiplayer pick Squad 44.

would recommend, great game lacks of players and gives me loads of empty lobbys pls join in to fill those before this game ends up on some dead game yt compilations

Still filled with cheaters and tank campers. And its still impossibly hard to see enemies. There never was a reason to buy this on release, there is even less now even at 95% discount they give.

Got the game for a measly $3 but it won't even launch - something about EA AntiCheat and incompatible drivers... Will most likely refund as I don't see the point in keeping a game that's busted when I could just play something else that works. EDIT: I decided to fix the issue and I think I've thoroughly experienced what the game has to offer. To keep it as simple as possible: it's not a bad game. It's a decent Battlefield, beautiful visuals for sure but I'm not a huge fan of the gunplay, it's overtly animated (if that makes any sense at all). I particularly don't like the UI, but that's subjective. I still prefer BF4 even BF1 to this. I will keep my review to not recommended mainly because of how it simply didn't work from the get-go, and because I think it's an inferior BF experience.

yeah, pretty good game, first battlefield to allow character customization up to this point that I know of, fun guns, multiplayers fun even when you suck at the game. 9/10 too many sweats

Filled with cheaters, even after their "ban wave" if you want a good game where you blow shit up you'll get that experience every 3rd game because the next one will be dominated by 4 lvl 500s that all of a sudden have been playing the game even though their account has been inactive for 6 years... totally not bought/stolen... and the report feature is entirely cosmetic. And its EA don't give them a cent unless it's for an extremely discounted.

I started playing Battlefield 20 years ago. This game is by far the worst I've ever seen. Everything feels off. The guns feel like Nerf, and sniping (which I love) is ZERO rewarding. The maps, mechanics, everything. It feels so bad. Absolutely disgusting. It wasn't the fault of the developers themselves; they just had no idea what they were doing plus EA executives. I want to believe it. Better buy a movie ticket.

This game is OVERWHELMED with hackers. spawn in, seconds later sniped by the same 5 people who have 4 times the kills of everyone else on the game. inside a building, sniped by someone across the map through the wall. i've never died so much in a match ever on ps5 but come here and people have aimbot like aim.

Only played it for the campaign so can't say much about the multiplayer but from what I saw on YouTube it looks fun asf, especially as a biased sturmtiger main in warthunder. The campaign was so damn fun, my favorite was easily the tiger.

Bought it for 2.50 Eur, played just long enough so I can't get a refund. Anti-cheat update, was just a patch that can enable you to cheat even from a calculator, thx EA for thinking on those empty souls and ty for optimizing their cheats. Who ever read this don't give EA your money even if this game goes for a 0.50 Eur its not worth it have some principal in your life and stop wasting your precious time on this pure horsecrap of a game.

Watch out. EA is stealing games. I bought the game and items and then one day they they blocked it because "I was cheating". I have never done that. This is how they treat their customers. Awful contact and awful situation. Don't but their games.

They fucked up the game somehow, it keeps looping between the same maps which just gets annoying over time especially bc those eggsact maps make plane and tank players cream... so it's just annoying :< Game was a lot of fun before that but now it just gets eggshausting after a while. pls fix >_<

Unplayable. Very user unfriendly to require anti cheat system that only works on windows and to require logging into the EA app. I just wanted to play it single player. There is no point to requiring either of those things for people that just want to play single player. Jerks.

At the price of 3 euros, expect lots of cheater. The game is great btw.

Battlefield V – A €50 product that functions like malware. Got it for €2.49 on sale. Thought I was clever. Turns out I paid money to test a broken product for EA, then got spat on by Steam for my trouble. Let me be crystal clear: The game doesn’t save. Anything. Ever. No campaign progress No keybinds No settings No multiplayer loadouts Launch the game? Fresh start. Every. Single. Time. Like EA thinks amnesia is a gameplay feature. I spent 2+ hours in pure tech support hell trying to fix this. Not gaming — just staring into the EA App abyss, repairing files, reinstalling, firewall exceptions, unlinking accounts, sacrificing RAM to Satan. Still broken. 🔥 EA’s launcher is so bad it makes Ubisoft Connect look like NASA software. 🔥 EA support? Missing. Probably on a yacht paid for with people’s broken purchases. 🔥 And Steam? Oh, sweet Valve. They saw I “played too long” and denied my refund in record time. What did I do during that “playtime”? Absolutely nothing. Just menus. Fix attempts. Despair. Apparently, Steam defines “playing” as: Staring at broken menus Fighting with EA App Screaming into the void And so my refund was auto-denied — twice. Tried explaining. Got ignored. Amazing support from a company worth billions. Meanwhile, Battlefield 1 (released years earlier) works flawlessly. So this isn’t my system — it’s just Battlefield V being a rotten, neglected corpse wrapped in DRM and launcher garbage. And the cherry on top? I can’t even warn people in Steam Discussions because EA games are locked out of Steam forums. Convenient, huh? --- EA and Steam deserve each other. One sells broken games, the other refuses to refund them. If you value your time, sanity, or hard drive — avoid this dumpster fire. €2.49 or €50, it’s still a scam. ( UPDATE they finally refunded it after 3 denials)

It's just quite lame. Graphically cool and it played... OK. Not memorable like 1942. I got 5 hours out of it, doubt I will ever install it again. Not really worth it. Story is... totally forgettable. I do not remember much of it at all. I recall feeling like it was more like a series of demos than an actual game.

Unable to play the game due to EA anti-cheat errors.. Even if I update the driver the anti-cheat complains about it doesn't resolve the issue.. Game refunded.

TLDR: The battlefield series was always the truer experience to warfare compared to COD, but didn't always appeal to everyone due to its slower pace. While it remains true in this title, I couldn't help but not feel it. Picking up a weapon too quickly bugs the animation and you can't fire or swap weapons, the campaign is overly short, though the told stories are refreshing. I prefer the previous entry. Story: WWII, again. The introduction is pretty much a copy and paste on Battlefield 1, which was great, but doesn't quite hit as hard. As for the rest of the campaigns, it's a hit or miss depending on your personal tastes. It's split into 4 separate campaigns, each with their own protagonist, however the amount of levels per campaign is so small that you barely have the time to get to care about each story. My personal favorite was about the Tirailleurs. Gameplay: Pretty much the usual Battlefield experience, with minimalist UI, chaotic souds and all, to maximise immersion. There are a lot of weapons to find in every map, however, as I mentionned before, if you pick it up and start doing something else too quickly, the animation just locks up and you can't switch, fire or reload your weapon. Now that's triple A gaming right there. Though the weapons are varied, it's a bit here and there on how exactly the difference are between the weapons. I was a bit surprised on how many bugs I encountered; animation bugs, objective bugs, dialogue not proccing for no reason... It doesn't feel like a polished game. There also seems to be a lot of hackers, so while the game isn't dead, it may not be the best entry to play as of 2025. Graphics: While some environments are good looking from far, they tend to be far from good looking when you stick your face in 'em. Audio: For a battlefield game, I was expecting a lot better. Then again, I hold my Battlefield games to an extremely high standard... Why? Maybe because they keep releasing the same sh!t, like COD. If it ain't perfection, you ain't gonna get a thumbs up from me. While I enjoyed a couple of campaigns (after understanding how to avoid proccing all the bugs), I'm glad I got this for 5$. Maybe I'm getting extra picky, but this is not a great Battlefield.

I ran this game twice and now its all gone. The game won't even launch anymore. Spent more time trying to fix the issue then actually playing the game. The cheap price tag is not even worth it if I can't even open the game. Most likely will refund because there is no point on having a game that I can't even run.

Solid game unfortunately its polluted with hackers. Im talking admin level hacks that ruin the experience. I dont know how this hasn't been addressed by the devs. Im pretty sure it wasnt a big seller for the devs /pub so they have no incentive. They've moved on. Shame really. It'll sit in the void since i wont be playing

BF5 is the closest thing to all-out war experience. Every element/building around u is destructable, the sound effects are top notch and the developers went with the idea to make it as realistic as possible.

I loved BF4 and BF1 but this game really sucks in comparison. There are some really odd choices for story line and the missions are just trash.... pretty much EVERYTHING about the missions is awful.. Do not waste money on this game.

Steam forces me to pick a yes or no, I am mixed. Since the introduction of EA's anti-cheat, Javelin, things have changed. Prior to Javelin, the game was unplayable. I genuinely mean that. Almost every lobby had a hacker, and they could click a button to send the entire lobby back to redeploy. It ruined countless games. Since Javelin was rolled out, there are almost no hackers. I have only encountered one in the last 20 rounds I've played. It made it possible to play this game again. However, there is a problem. I prefer to use Linux. With Javelin being kernel level anti-cheat this game is now impossible to play via Proton. This is where I wish EA had decided to use something like Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, or even GameGuard. I am not a huge fan of kernel level anti-cheat but at least if they used a pre-existing one and didn't homebrew it themselves, it could still run on Linux. It is unlikely that EA will ever make their anti-cheat compatible with Proton. I do dual-boot Windows, so the game is still accessible to me, but I immediately noticed how much worse the performance is on Windows. While I am glad to see the massive reduction of hackers, this still leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

It may not be as realistic as other battlefield games, but other than that I really have nothing negative to say. There aren't very many cheaters, even when there is one there are 63 other players so it doesn't matter much. It is a very chaotic game which is what makes if fun, and as long as you're not looking for completely accurate recreations of events, there is really nothing stopping you from having fun.

Game's Alright but way too much Disconnection issues. Randomly gets kicked out of a Match and disconnects and despite trying to go online again it fails. Need to fix this

its a fun game some people are hating it but now that i tried it i personaly think its great fun and a mid campaing, multiplayer is also nice the game is still a lot active it has a lot of full servers and its after all pretty fun

It's unfinished and unbalanced, but it also costs less than a McChicken and has the best core mechanics of any Battlefield.

Battlefield V will always hold a special place in my heart. The atmosphere, the intensity, and above all—the sniping—felt absolutely incredible. There's nothing like holding your breath, lining up that perfect shot, and hearing that crisp headshot ping echo through the chaos of war. Lack of depth in the single player campaign. Is this suppose to be Battle"Field" or a stealth game? the amount of stealth in this game is a total wack for those who wants to complete the side mission or get a 100% completion. Multiplayer is alright I guess but I'd still go back and prefer Battlefield 1 over this

I think this is the most gorgeous looking BF, other parts are done great aswell. Was hesitant to get it because of bad reviews, but I've seen no issues. Totally recommend!

I may have 0.6 hours on record, but rest assured that the entirety of that was trying to get the game to run on my 11th gen i7 and rx 7900xtx with 32 gb of memory and on an NVME drive. Extremely poorly optimized to the point that even the cutscenes struggle. Not worth it, even when I got it on sale for $2.49. I won't even get into how annoying the EA launcher is, but do not fret, it is as annoying as they say.
