Great Game! Don't be discouraged by the little bit of grinding (farm resources) at the beginning. After the first few days in game, the game really opens! Later, you will have so much to do, you won't even know where to start anymore. Recommend for anyone that likes story, cute characters and cozy games!

Starts off alright but it honestly gets [b] pretty boring and devoid of any life. [/b] Could be a good time sink if that's your thing but I just do not recommend this game.

Stardew Valley, but better, and easy mode. So many quality of life that was improved. > The biggest game changer of all, Travel Points!! Teleportation makes us able to do a lot more in one day than in other similar themed game like this. I stayed hunting for materials until 23.40 and teleport back home to immediately go to sleep, so satisfying. > I also love the fact that we can enter the townspeople houses anytime, which makes it easier to report the quest and not wait for another day, working day, or even a week. > Our dog can track people as long as we have introduced ourselves to them, so we don't have to check wiki every time we need to find anyone in this game. > The stories are well written for a cozy game like this. > Harem!!!! We can romance multiple bachelors/ettes without any repercussion, I just hope the devs will add marriage to the table later on. > As any good game does, it has fishing as well, and the fishing is fairly easy compared to the legendary BS in Stardew lol. Annnndddd, many more! If you don't like easy games tho, this game isn't for you. I play cozy games to entertain myself, not to challenge myself, so I really like this game. Thank you Mass Hive!

You’ll spend about 21 hours mixing potions, diagnosing townsfolk ailments with minigames that sometimes feel like [i]Simon Says[/i] on a sugar rush, and fitting oddly shaped ingredients into your cauldron like a magical game of [i]Tetris[/i]. The gameplay loop is satisfying but can get [b]a bit repetitive[/b], especially once you’ve brewed your hundredth potion and your clinic still looks like it needs a serious makeover—guess healing the town doesn’t come with a home renovation show budget. The minigames, from fishing to potion crafting, add variety, but be warned: the diagnosing puzzles might drive you to wish you had a potion for patience. Still, the pixel art is so pretty you might just stare at it instead of your overflowing ingredient inventory. If you’re looking for a relaxing, cozy adventure where you can say “I’m just here to stir things up,” [i]Potion Permit[/i] delivers a decent dose of charm, a sprinkle of grind, and a dash of “please don’t make me do this minigame again.” It’s a potion-filled prescription for a good time, even if it occasionally leaves you feeling a little “under the weather” on excitement. In short: [i]Potion Permit[/i] is a brew-tiful blend of cozy life sim and alchemy puzzle that’s worth a shot—just don’t expect it to cure your boredom completely!

I want to start out with the positives - I really like the gameplay mechanics of potion making in this game. It's super fun and I love how you have to figure out the shapes! I had a really nice time playing it! The diagnosis minigames were also pretty fun although they did get a little samey after a while. That said: the game feels seriously unfinished. There's not a lot to do after you've unlocked the areas and fixed the problems, and you can do so relatively quickly. There's not a ton of variance in what you can do after completing that, either, just weekly quests and upgrades which no longer feel like they have an end goal because you've finished the main story. Also the fishing game really adds very little to the game. The romanceable characters were largely fun stories to play but again they lack a feeling of completion. After you romance them you can take them on a date each day... and that's it. I'd want there to be more progression and interaction. I also cannot get past the fact that Rue is a romance candidate - she talks like a child, bathes with a rubber duck, skips around town. All of these things don't scream 'immature' or 'innocent because she's been sheltered to me' - they scream literal child, and I found it incredibly off-putting to keep playing knowing that she's a romance candidate. It feels poorly thought out, especially since there are a significant number of characters (e.g. Derrek, Dean, Runeheart, Yorn!) that could be romanceable but aren't.

Its fun for some time but grinding it for 100% is a bit boring. I recommend buying it in a sale. DLCs are not necessary and just cosmetics.

It's good! Making potions is fun, and even the story is great and engaging. You have to fight enemies and forage to gather ingredients, and the difficulty scale is very forgiving. I like how you can save recipes after making a potion a few times, and the opportunity to sell extra potions if you're short on cash. The mini-games aren't very difficult, but I do wish they scaled to hire difficulties as you get further into the game. I definitely suggest this, and am fully invested in learning the whole backstory of the world and the villagers. If you have the extra money, I wholeheartedly suggest this. Update: I've now finished the game, though I still have a few more achievements to get. I'm not sure what to do with my life now that the game is over. I enjoyed it so much that I wish I could keep playing and discover more. I hope there's a sequel in the works.

Great game. Very addicting and cozy. If you like games like stardew valley you will also probably like this game.

A beautiful and serene game. I loved the side stories for the characters and the side quests in it. I highly recommend playing it.

Potion Permit is a delightful, slow-paced game perfect for fans of Stardew Valley or Atelier games. While it lacks depth in combat and late-game challenge, its charm lies in its relaxing rhythm and heartfelt community-building. Best enjoyed when you're looking for a chill, feel-good experience.

I just started and I'm all for it so far. One note, however. I have an ultra-wide screen, so when the characters walk away from the cutscene, they just stand there doing nothing, usually on top of each other. It's not much of a big deal but it would be nice to see the characters walking away for a while and not stop. However, if it's to difficult to implement it throughout the game, I completely understand. Thanks for your time! :) (P.S.: If there's a setting that helps with this in the options menu, PLEASE tell me. I don't want to be the guy who asked for something that was already there.)

This is a really good game! It's very stylish and the running animation for the character is so adorable. If you are going for all of the achievements Rock and Tree Exterminator are extreme slogs.

Super cute, and addictive sim. I rediscover this game every year and am always glad for it.

Its a cute and simple game with an engaging story line. I appreciate how much how much it makes you interact with the NPC's since it is one of the main goals of the storyline and as rewards you get to see how the town as a whole transforms from dilapidated to rebuilt. Being able to customize and fix up your own house and clinic in that same regard was a nice addition to keep the player goal oriented.

i'd give the game a 5/10, while not overly bad it did get quite grindy but not in a way to pulled me in and made me want one more run. mos tof my other thoughts seem to already be echoed by other negative reviews. but thelastabbytar's is pretty much how i'd sum it up. decent game if you want to kill some time, and the price it right but feels like they forgot to add in the love mid/late game which makes it a overall no for me.

It's cute for the beginning part, lots of characters to interact with and places to explore, but it quickly becomes a resource grind, where you'll just spend hours getting the same couple of resources just to progress a tiny bit

Super cute game, very good indie. I play games like this all the time and it's super fun. I think there are a lot of good mechanics and good story and character. It's a very easy game to play as well. I do think some of the controls are a bit odd, but you can always reconfigure them in the settings, so its not a big deal. This game doesn't require you to have the wiki up on another screen all the time like some other chill games, which is nice. I do have one major complaint, and it's fishing. Fishing should give more xp or take less time. It was a wee bit ridiculous how much time it was taking for me to grind all the way up to the fully upgraded fishing rod, because of the xp requirement. Of course, I could be biased because I generally don't enjoy fishing in games like these, but that's the only real complaint I had. Overall the game is incredibly cute & cozy and super fun to play.

If you love Stardew Valley, you will love this game. I didn't realize I needed this game until I started playing. I am absolutely in love and cannot wait to keep playing. This is the perfect cozy game for me right now and it sparks so much joy!

A truly cozy game. The only things in the game with timers are the Town Hall Quests and the patients in the clinic, other than that I haven't found anything that requires me to worry about a deadline. Everything else is at your own pace which allows you to really enjoy the game. I think having the player able to do part-time jobs around the town is super cute and the mini-games that you do during your part-time are really fun and simple. the art style of the game is very pretty and so far I've enjoyed the game so much. Definitely recommended if you like taking your time with your cozy games.

The topic is attractive with the big map, lots of characters, and fun mini games in the beginning. However, after playing it for a while, I thought it is a kind of early access game, so I go back the store to check. No, it's not.

I got a refund after a short play, as it didn’t fully hook me—likely because I lean toward high-intensity games like Elden Ring or Nightreign—but I can’t deny its chill appeal and polished execution.

The quest system is obnoxious. The cut scenes trigger without you wanting them to, then the scene teleports you elsewhere on the map and leaves you there. Sometimes you will trigger one scene after another constantly moving you around.

Easy going, cute, and comfy game.
