it's not a bad game, but it's not what the steam page would make you believe it is. the puzzles are nothing but an oversimplified distraction with the main focus being a cliché story with fairly cheesy characters. the sound design is pretty good. i can't say i didn't enjoy it, but i was left disappointed

A short and sweet game about repairing objects that leads to learning how to repair relationships.
Beautiful art, lovely sound track, nice voice acting.
The only tiny quibbles I have are that the movement of objects can be a bit finicky and more than once I was a very little bit irked by having to pick up the screwdriver for each screw in turn rather than holding the screwdriver and unscrewing everything all at once.
All in all this is a beautiful game about a few hurt people and their journey towards mending themselves and their connections to those close to them.

The game was cozy and had a really nice artstyle. The story was fairly simple and nothing that was too deep. Although personally I felt like I wanted to have more things to repair and less story or a way to connect the story a bit more with the gameplay. There were hints of that, but I felt a bit frustated having to go through some story bits to get to the repairing gameplay. But honestly, that might have been just my expectations not fitting with the story the game wanted to tell.
Very much worth the play still, even if it is a fairly short game.

Controls are a pain and took forever to get things to work and still beat the game in an hour and half. Great concept just wish there was more to it and glad I got it on sale rather than full price.

very short game. short, yet heartwarming. orienting the items you're repairing can get a little annoying when it doesn't rotate the way you want it or when you accidentally pick up another item, but other than that good game.

A beautiful little tale about rekindling relationships, not taking things for granted and fixing bits 'n bobs. The puzzles are satisfying and the music is soothing. It's definitely worth an hour of your time.

In all honesty, I am not quite sure why this game has been received so positively. Maybe the charming presentation of the puzzles is its redeeming quality but beyond its art it is a very casual and short game. The puzzles are very easy and do not require problem solving skills. You'll likely have a more difficult time with the fidgety controls than the objects at hand. Not to mention that solving the game's initial resolution bug requires more out-of-the-box thinking than any of the challenges within. The story is a tacked on visual novel that kind of gets in the way of game-play and only the smallest percentile of players will draw any form of revelatory experience from its shallow conclusion.

It's a nice relaxing game. The story isn't bad. But the puzzles are simple and not meant to stress you out. So you need to relax? Then take the time to play this one.

Downloaded and finished the free version of this on my phone few years ago. Could never forgot how beautifully done this game is, found this on steam and finally bought it. Absolutely not regretting buying a game I've played before because of how well made it is.
The heartwarming & engaging story line, the tinkering theme that reminds me of my childhood fantasy as Tinkerbell, the voice acting, sound effects and musics. They all mashed together making such soothing ambience that got me wanting a movie or TV series with this plot. Such a perfect game to wind down after a hectic day.

A sweet, charming, short time. Not a lot of depth, and the controls are somewhat frustrating (especially rotating objects), but the presentation sells it. Got it on sale and enjoyed it, but would have felt worse at full price.

The game is worth it only on a sale, its a decent 3 hour story that would definitely make you smile for a bit. Surprisingly my last achievement was called "one last thing".

A great storybook disguised as a short and simple game, whether that's for you or not. Personally, I loved it, and I'm glad I got to meet some wonderful characters from Bellariva.

This game was worth playing, I loved the characters voices & the story. I recommend playing this game if you're looking for a chill, story based game. First game I truly got emotional with that didn't involve animals. 10/10 would love to see more games like this in the nearing future.

It's a cute game, just very short and controls are a bit wacky. I liked the story line and the characters was neat. Was hoping to just fix more things and what not. Glad I got this on sale and not pay the full price for it. Took me about a hour or so to finish the game.

Charming and really beautifully made! I really liked the atmosphere and the story it told. It was quite deep on many fronts and am not gonna lie, I do wish there was more! I kinda feel I cheated the devs by buying it on sale for $2. At last, its worth the money to get it any even full price I feel. For such a short game, they really put in a lot for it. Their experience in other games really did them well here.

If you ask ai for a story about a strained father daughter relationship you get something less generic than the story in this game. The gameplay isn't exactly bad but it is just going through the motions. All the spare parts are provided to you and most pieces only have one place to go and as a result there is no challenge. The controls are okay at best, it often selects items you don't want and rotating is bad too.

A cute game with some fun puzzles. The story is kind of sappy and the puzzles aren't hard. The graphics are pretty. Perfect entertainment if you want to chill and play something low pace. I wish there were more puzzels!

The game mechanics were easy and fun, but I personally struggled with the voice overs and didn't feel any connection to the characters. Maybe if it had been longer, or if the story was given more detail and care, I would have been able to appreciate the story. I honestly wish that the game had simply focused on the mechanics and made more levels, rather than creating a story. It didn't give me anything to root for and because I wasn't given enough time to care about the characters, there was no emotional payoff when their (very short) arcs concluded. The art is beautiful and I appreciate the work and time that goes into making a game. I just hope next time there will be a more robust game and more tangible story.

A cute cozy game where you repair things and enjoy a short simple story where families you meet are fixed at the same time.
Only 13 puzzles, so this can easily be completed within a couple of evenings or a weekend.

The game was very cute and the music was relaxing. Only thing is I wish they would have gone with a Q/E to rotate compared to using strictly the mouse. Well-done, over all!

Cool game concept. learn how to restore various items. To be honest i did not pay any attention to the story as I just wanted to fix things. Also was very easy to skip through the dialogue. Not much content in the game. Good price for sale but not sure its worth almost £6.

Fun game, good story, nice music. Finished in less than 90 minutes. I wouldn't have paid full price for something so short, since there are other games at this price point that are longer, but worth it on a hefty sale.

A rather short game but with a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a quick puzzle + story based game. My only complaint really is that the mechanics are a little hard to fiddle with sometimes. It happened more than once that things just set back down or disassembled again because of the items automatically rotating to the spot you need to work on next. But other than that, it was a joy playing through!

Got this game on a whim, saw it on a steam sale and it really caught my eye.
I love assembly games, and was in the mood for a short, cozy game!
I wasn't expecting the story to be so rich and heart-warming so it was a pleasant surprise.
The soundtrack to this game is incredible, so relaxing! I even found myself leaving the game paused/between levels while doing other stuff just to listen to the music.
Definitely recommend this game to all cozy game lovers!

It is a very lovely game. The artstyle is quite beautiful and the story was really nice. All in all it was really calming and relaxing to play. Unfortunately it was way too short. I really hope the Devs add more content or like an entire new chapter maybe about Maria returning to her parents town or sth.

A really enjoyable, relaxing game. I used to work repairing things for a living but issues with my hands have meant that I needed to switch to an office based role. This really brought back the enjoyment I used to feel while repairing things.
I really recommend this game if you just want to relax with something to sooth your soul a little.

Charming. I really enjoyed the tactile feel of Assemble with Care. If you're on the fence about whether you'll enjoy this game, here are a couple notes to help you decide:
First, it's definitely short, with relatively easy puzzles. I like to take my time in games and I still finished Assemble with Care in under 3 hours. Definitely worth the price, in my opinion, and I wasn't looking for a huge challenge! If you're looking for something different, your mileage may vary.
Second, the vibe of the game is a little different than what I gleaned from the trailer. I was imagining a sort of chill, minimalist, vaguely dreamlike game (which might just be me projecting, since I'm very into that). In reality it's much more like a children's book, with narrative interludes between each chapter featuring characters who drive the message home. Not bad, just more sentimental than what I'd pictured. Possibly a good choice for younger gamers!
Regardless, Assemble with Care absolutely delivered the main thing I was looking for - a beautiful, relaxing, low-pressure game about helping fix vintage mechanical items. If that sounds good to you, give it a try.

I really enjoyed this cozy game and I do wish it lasted a longer. I particularly liked the art and sound details which made me feel like I was in a quaint little town. However, I did find some of the controls a bit unintuitive which made the first few chapters a bit frustrating.

The game is very short & quick, while the puzzles are too easy and require no problem solving. The actual controls are a bit finicky when playing. If you're interested in playing this game I recommend getting it when it's on sale, (as of writing this its $2.39 USD before taxes). There are only 13-14 levels in the game, maybe if the dev adds some sort of 2nd chapter to the story of the game via a free dlc it would be worth the $7.99. Overall the art style is cute, and the story might be of interest to those who prefer visual novel games, but as a puzzle game its a bit lackluster.

I liked the idea of this game but I feel that it just falls short. Gameplay wise it is very basic; these 'repairs' do not require much problem solving or thinking. Story wise there is also not much to it. It's a sweet but very simple and cliché story.
This all doesn't have to be a problem if the game mechanics interacts with the story in an interesting way. Compare this with a game like Unboxing where there is also a sweet but short story but it's completely told through the game mechanics and art.
In addition to that I found the controls/UX although simple, not super intuitive and frustrating.
What I can say is that the visuals and the sounds are quite polished. I can see people some people having fun with this but to me it's a big 'Meh'.

chill, soft, cozy, short, sad and heartwarming all at the same time. i cried. worth every cent.
i believe assemble with care is a classic among the cozy gamers by now and it truly does deserve the spot because this game really hits you in the softest, most wholesome way possible. it makes you cry but hugs you about it.
on a real note, crying aside, the story is good, the mechanics and puzzles are neither too easy, nor too hard, which is actually the perfect spot for puzzle games like this! the soundtrack and the visuals are gorgeous and i really, really, had a great time.

I wanted to fix things not click through an overly emotional story where the voice over sounds like they are reading a children's book.

I love the idea! Gameplay is very chill. Simple and sweet. But This is a very short game. I found out this was actually originally for Apple Arcade. Which makes sense with the controls. Best on a touch screen.
The story is sweet but too quick. It rushed to a happy end too fast and the stuff about Maria and her parents felt like it came out of no where or just shoved in. I would've loved a longer story with more levels and more challenging levels. Maybe have it that she's moving there instead of visiting?
