Why so much hate for this DLC? I got a really cool dog out of it. Love that dog. Don't really care about her though. Still 5 stars recommend this. Who needs a woman when they got a dog who protects you with it's life? I read Warhorse (the developer) wanted the butcher's dog you find when you return to Skalitz available at launch. But the dog needed more work so Warhorse waited to distribute later with DLC "A Woman's Lot". You won't need to play through the DLC to adopt the dog. Once the DLC is activated in the game, speak with Theresa to acquire the dog as pet.

I'm disappointed in Johanka questline, it starts really inetersting but quickly becomes boring and dull, it's not worth playing even if you aim to get both endings. Johanka is just delusional, I hate her so much. Theresa part carried whole DLC. I gaslighted, gatekeeped and girlbossed my way through her quests in Skalitz. OK, there are even sneaking parts where Theresa becomes Solid Snake.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 188: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10) A Woman’s Lot is an idealistic and thematically important DLC that shifts perspective to Theresa, Henry’s childhood friend and potential girlfriend, offering a fresh lens on Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s world. While it doesn’t reinvent the gameplay formula and has some rough edges, it adds meaningful narrative depth and a new tone that many players will appreciate. 👩‍🌾 Pros:

Fresh perspective with Theresa. Playing as Theresa provides a welcome change of pace from Henry’s violent, combat-heavy journey. The DLC explores themes of survival, vulnerability, and resilience from a woman’s point of view in medieval Bohemia—something rarely tackled in this genre. Theresa’s story is personal, grounded, and often emotionally affecting.
Strong narrative moments. The writing handles Theresa’s struggles with sensitivity, exploring issues like societal constraints and personal agency. It provides memorable scenes and character interactions that expand the world beyond the battlefield and political intrigue.
Varied gameplay mix. While combat takes a backseat, A Woman’s Lot still offers stealth, exploration, and some puzzle-solving. These mechanics are generally well implemented and offer a different, quieter way to engage with the game’s systems.
Well-acted and voiced. Theresa’s voice acting is strong, capturing her mix of toughness and vulnerability. Supporting characters also get good treatment, enhancing immersion and emotional weight.
🚺 Cons:

Limited content and short length. At just a few hours long, the DLC feels more like a side story or interlude than a full expansion. Some players find the experience too brief to justify the cost or time investment.
Gameplay can feel repetitive or slow. With less combat and fewer quests than the base game or other DLCs, the pacing drags at times. Stealth sections, while atmospheric, occasionally feel clunky or frustrating due to AI quirks.
Technical issues and bugs. Some users report glitches, especially related to quest triggers and AI behavior, which can break immersion or require reloads.
Mixed reception on tone and expectations. Because this DLC departs from the main game’s core style, players expecting more action or broader content often feel disappointed. It’s a niche experience that appeals more to those invested in the story and characters.
Perhaps not worth the full price, but this DLC adds a very fun break from playing as Henry. The questline where you play as Theresa is very challenging as she escapes Skalitz and fights Cuman soldiers to gather supplies for her wounded brother.

Fantastic story building to the original game. Yes their are parts that are slow, but once the Cumans attack, it picks up. Except for one quest you have to gather bandages, I really loved this DLC.

KCD A women's lot is a confusing, frustrating, and overall miserable experience. As a new player, i spoke with theresea after the awakening in rattays mill. Wanting to find out more about the raid on skailitz i engaged in dialogue and was quickly plopped into a DLC quest with no warning. Theresa says "this may take a while" before she asks if you want to hear her tale, but in no way, from a players POV, would i equate that to 6+ hours of frustrating, pointless questing that overstays its welcome after an hour. I assumed it would be a lengthy cut scene or exposition. Instead i had to bash my head against a wall for the entire time trying to deal with the terrible invisible walls on every rock and plant, making exploration and traversal painful. On top of menial fetch quests and one of the worst designed stealth segments ive seen in a game to date. The mines of skalitz is a true form of torture, followed by another fetch quest to gather supplies at night among a horde of enemies. Warhorse studios really dropped the ball hard with this DLC.

Only idiots are flaming this. Yes, it diverts the story if you're just starting out and do Theresa's questline, but the quests are amazing and the voice acting is great as usual.

I really wish the game hadn't railroaded me into doing this so early in the game. It's my first KCD play through so when I saw the chat option I thought it was just that. Only to now find myself having to run WAY WAY out of any way to some mine somewhere on a side quest. This is kind of ridiculous. And the progress doesn't contribute to the normal game? What a swing and a miss.

Just like the other first time players that wanted to know how theresa escaped the cumans and just expecting a somewhat lengthy cutscene i cannot fucking believe that i have to literally fucking playthrough the whole fucking ordeal its fucking annoying and once you start the fucking DLC you cannot go back to the main plot. IT DOESNT EVEN AFFECT THE FUCKING MAIN STORY since it happened at the same time as the prologue i just wanted to know what happened nothing else i dont want to fucking play something that doesnt even remotely contribute to the main storyline. I HAVENT EVEN REVIEWED THE BASE GAME AND I ALREADY WANT TO GIVE THIS FUCKING THING A THUMBS DOWN. I dont even write reviews for dlcs of any game i owned but GODDAMN was this that fucking awful

wtf what's wrong with you people?? this DLC is great, a very interesting story that fleshes out the events from the beginning. It's just impossible not to like Theresa. I don't understand the haters, there is a checkmark next to the statement that this thread in the conversation with Theresa starts a DLC. And there is also Johanka's thread ofc. As for me, it is great

WORST DLC EVER No clue what you're getting into is hours worth of errands when you choose one dialogue choice and no way to escape the misery. Dog doesn't even make up for it. 0/5

i reset 3 hours of progress as henry because this "quest" is that bad, its mind numbingly boring, grating, unfun, tedious, overdrawn, and most of all unrewarding. it takes around 4-7 hours from what ive read and it gives you basically nothing. whatever you do DO NOT talk to theresa about what she did before the skalitz incident because there is no warning, no backing out and hours of tedium before you if you do.

Theresa's quest was a little cheesy at the start, but by the end I was thoroughly enjoying it. I have a hatred for marigolds now though. Whoever thought a quest where you have to pick flowers in the dark was a good idea must be an angry individual. Genuinely enjoyed how they tied the start of Henry's story into her's. RIP Tinker. Johanka's quest was great. My first blind run resulted in the "bad ending", and I was devastated. Second time round was much better. Both times made me feel like I myself needed to go on a pilgrimage. Also best boi Mutt.

Do not expect a Chad Knight power fantasy, it's not combat focus expansion. The Woman's Lot is more about intrigue and traversing theological discourse, which is complete change of pace. If you like combat and you are not much of a scholarly type (especially ones not into Christian theology), you won't like it. For everyone who's going to the buy the Woman's Lot, updating your understanding of Christian belief will make you appreciate this DLC a lot.
Romans 3:20-24 and Sermon on the Mountain made manifest into a interactive questline.
I personally love it and found it immersive.

Extremely boring time sink that ends up being one big fetch quest. Lost multiple hours of gameplay having to reload to before the dlc trap was sprung.

This should have been a separate thing, selectable from the menu. It breaks the "flow" of the game. That is the only reason I give the thumbs down
