Going Under
Going Under is a satirical dungeon crawler about exploring the cursed ruins of failed tech startups. As an unpaid intern in the dystopian city of Neo-Cascadia, you’ll wield office junk as weaponry as you make your way through the offbeat procedural dungeons beneath your company campus.

It starts off strong. The story hits pretty hard, dialogues feel engaging, The combat, while simple feels, good and chaotic. By the time you get to level three, the story slows down to a crawl, the gameplay can't hide it's imperfections and overall experience sours greatly. Then, you realize there are only three levels. Overall combat feels sticky and unrefined. There is no block, which makes some encounters awkward and unfair. Enemies have no attack queue, so it's not uncommon to get mowed down by a bunch of them piling up and stunlocking you. Decent weapons constantly breaking after a few hits is just not fun, especially when fighting bosses. Story loses steam way too quickly, unrefined combat, not enough content, good art direction.

I really liked the story, as a corporate slave it really hits home for me and the satire is great I will say though that you can really feel the "indie" on the game, there are a lot of things that feel unpolished or could've been better. It's a really cool concept for a roguelike and the battle mechanic is interesting, but I feel like it definitely could've been better. It feels clunky a lot of times and while it's fine most of the time, it's not really good for the replay value of the game

A fantastic fresh take on a dungeon crawler! Finally something unique and well written has appeared in this space. Think Hades but with a more cynical take. I love how versatile the dungeons are. Where the environment can be used as a weapon too. There is so much variety between abilities and modifiers as well as the dungeon room that you never get bored. I highly recommend. Props to the team for releasing such a well polished game!

Stopped playing this game part way but finally revisited it. SUCH a goated game. From the gameplay loop & mechanics, humor, atmosphere, and everything else, its all made with great attention and heart. Corporate Chicago is a such notoriously ugly art style in general, yet the developers were able to genuinely make it appear great looking and even used the art style to enhance their satire - all in all - an example of the level of polish this game has.

Fun little game that will entertain the hell out of anyone who has ever worked in the corporate space.

Phenomenal writing and fun, simple combat. I wish there were more incentives to replaying aside bashing my head against the really hard difficulties but even that's fun. Also the soundtrack's bumping, 401K/100.

This game is a sleeper hit. Soundtrack to combat to the quirky story that is so relevant to today working scene. Highly recommend to any one that like hack and slash as well as roughelites

A colorful, gimmicky, enthralling rogue-lite that is fresh from top to bottom. Approx. 20 hrs of playtime (though I haven't finished it yet.) An excellent Winter-Sale grab if nothing else. 7/10. (Warning: In order to run, you may need an adept graphics chip.)

Fun game with very creative concept. The story was nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable. The left-wing millennial humor hit right at home for me. The gameplay on the other hand, while fun for the first couple runs, gets repetitive really quickly. This is a rouguelike, but most of your runs will feel almost identical, since there are almost no choices to be made between powerups/weapons. So there are almost no unique builds to explore, which is a shame, since the core gameplay loop is fun. I played through it, but will likely not be coming back. Also activating assist mode for more HP and stronger doges made the gameplay much more enjoyable in my opinion. 8/10 but buy it on sale 20€ feels a bit too expensive for this one

Hack and slash roguelite with a lot of character and a humorous story. The animations are good, the weapons and enemies are ridiculous and unique. The game can get challenging at times and with some bosses, but it's generally a rather short affair. Well worth the price of admission.

This is the kinda game that not only is a shit ton of fun but also has a perspective. The point of view enhances the game play and the story.

Hysterically funny, the very pointed choice of art style makes me want to claw my eyes out because it reminds me of HR horseshit but thats the point. Well done.
