I rarely review games, but damn I really really liked this game. While can be quite difficult it's also immensely charming, if you like Metroidvanias I can most definitely recommand this game :D

Relaxing and easygoing metroidvania, borderline uninteresting at times traversing the map and dealing with normal enemies. The bosses are the most fun part of this game, well designed and balanced difficulty. My one gripe with the game is the optional late game boss "decaying majesty" were the game goes from difficulty normal to nightmare, the contrast in difficulty really put me off the game. There's barely any visual indicators, fast and large area attacks and it demands you master mechanics you never needed to bother with for the rest of the game (switching dashes mid fight). If you can enjoy an in general easy metroidvania but also one or two gruelling boss fights that will likely take hours this is your jam. I'm dropping it at this point because of burning out against the boss but it still gets a very slight recommend from me.

Really fun metroidvania with a great artstyle, interesting story, well structured exploration and fun boss battles.

Very casual gamer, here. I found the bosses very difficult (I had to lower the difficulty setting to move ahead. Thanks for adding that option) and the adventuring pretty boring. The part that's in the dark with no map was really tedious. Sorry, developers.
