The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series

I started playing The Walking Dead by Telltale without any particular expectations, but I quickly got hooked. What struck me most was the bond between Lee and Clementine — it feels real and genuine. I truly cared about them like they were close friends. The game stands out for its moral choices — you never really know what's right. Every decision changes something, and you can feel the consequences. The atmosphere, comic-style visuals, and music — everything adds to the emotional impact. The ending completely knocked me off balance. It's more than just a game — it's a story you won’t forget anytime soon.

[b] “Adversity reveals the ugliness in even the kindest souls.” [/b] I don’t remember the exact words, but I remember a line like that from another game I've played, and I keep thinking about it in the post-apocalyptic world of "The Walking Dead". I've never had to be in such a situation where my moral compass had to be put to the test, and even though the story's all fiction, I think not having to say [i] "There's no right or wrong anymore, just survival" [/i] is a real damn luxury. The game gives you some pretty heavy decisions where you'd really feel their weight, and the “choices matter” hits quite hard. Watching the TV series and enjoying the thrill while seeing things from the characters’ perspective as they struggle to survive is one thing, but playing the game and actually pulling the trigger (literally, at times) is another. After some tough calls, I keep questioning myself whether I could have done things better. Yes, it's just a game, but be warned 'cause it can live rent-free in your head. Also, I love you Lee. -`♡´-

15/10!!!!! Worth it super!! This was a roller coaster ride. I laughed, got scared, got mad, cried… all in one game! The plot from Season 1 to 4 did not disappoint 😭 i wish there were more of AJ, though. By middle of season 2, I got so desensitized of death that I didn’t care if the side characters died. I accepted their death waaay faster than I should have lol.

The Walking Dead, the first choice-based game I ever played, now in its definitive edition with all the seasons, is simply a masterpiece in the world of narrative-driven video games. If we take a closer look at its story, we realize that beyond the gameplay, it teaches us that the choices we make today could completely shape our future. I’m someone who is very demanding when it comes to video games, but this title truly touched my soul. It teaches us to be more thoughtful with our decisions, and even if we try our best to do the right thing, we come to understand that “hard decisions aren’t always fair,” but they do make us stronger.

This series is my favourite game series ever, and for good reason. I remember the first season of this game being the my big Christmas present one year. I played the whole thing in about two days and was completely in awe. As the other games released, I patiently waited, playing the first episodes as quickly as I could, then having to endure the pain of waiting for the next one to he released, after whatever cliffhanger we were left off with. Are there better games out there? Yes, of course. However, this game holds a special place in my heart, and always will. If you are looking for an amazing narrative driven choose your own adventure, then look no further. I can't recommend this game enough. Enjoy the experience, and remember, keep that hair short!

This story began 13 years ago and I just got to play this in 2025 and honestly Im speechless... the characters, the story, the emotions, the decisions you have to make... If I could erease this game from my memory to play it again I would. Such a perfect story, insane character developments, DEVS really cooked with this franchise, I would 100% recommend playing this is such a masterpiece, absolute cinema. The moral test this game puts on you is beyond words, so many difficult decisions, I had moments were I just stared at my monitor in complete shock, spechless... such an amazing experience. Felt so many emotions, happines, rage, sadness, a truly rollercoaster.

this game made me go through alot of emotions 1. depression 2. depression 3. depression 10/10 but you will need a therapist to get you through all seasons at this point

After watching many-a youtuber play the walking dead game's seasons over the decade.. Finally finishing season 4 has proved to me that I'm suddenly feeling a urge to keep playing it, as if it had more seasons in which it does not. I feel sad that "the final season" makes it ambiguous of what will happen next, and it pisses me off knowing that I won't be allowed to find out what happens next. Not to mention the stupid A or B story choices, which practically changes nothing in the story at all except AJ's view on the world for season 4. The fact that you're able to control AJ at the end should've made it so that season 5 would be a thing. This game.. I can't stop thinking about how far AJ could make it. The game was great.. not perfect by a long shot but it definitely sucks you in. Great game. 9/10

This is such a great game series and I highly recommend it. The only downside to S4 is that it's stuck in the graphic black version of the game which you can turn off in all the other seasons. It would have been great if you could turn it off for S4 as well. Other than that, I L O V E this game series! 10/10 recommend!

You might now fully realize what you are getting into when you start this game, but by the end of the whole game all i could think was... Perfection, Pure perfection

The first season gives the most dramatic experience. The choices you make don't change much, but the consequences make you feel that way. I bet almost anyone tried to replay some scenes and attempted to save someone, and hated the game for not letting them do it. It took me some time to understand: while the game says the opposite, you need to accept the inevitability of some events, and just keep going. The second season is about adult people being childish, stupid, unable to adapt, suffering for it and making children suffer too. They can't accept a little girl as their equal, but they want her to make decisions and be the one to blame for the consequences. The third season gives us a new perspective on that little girl, how the story shaped her, what kind of adult she becomes in this new world. It also raises the question of what is a family: is it more important than a person's own safety, life, happiness? Finally, the fourth season tries to put an end to the story. The circle is now closed. The girl becomes an adult and has someone looking up to her. Is she better than those adults around? Does she need to be better? Where would it lead? One thing does not change throughout the seasons and even when returning to the game many years later: Clementine is the only character who always has my sympathy and I would still do everything to get her safe and happy. For this feeling I thank the game.

One of the best story games I've ever played, the changes from the first season to the last are quite better, the game controls are easy to play and the story is also quite easy to understand even though there are sad story scenes 🥀💔 but it's worth it to play 💫 The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series isn't just a game. It's a journey. A lesson. A heartbreak. I walked with Clementine… and I’ll carry Lee’s words forever~

Granted i am very early, but just finished the first Season and the alternative world building and character arc that are created in a already successful World/TV Show shows how great this game is, very excited for the rest!

This was a game that I grew up with, I will never not go back to this series, whether i'm watching a game play of the it or playing the series myself. This series is a must if you are feeling the urge to get emotionally invested into great characters, and have a good cry at the end of it all.

The limited mechanics took a bit of getting used to... but once the story starts to develop, and you come to realise the significant impact that the things you do or say has - sometimes right then, or later as the story unfolds through further chapters or episodes, you really start to pay attention and take a breath when you need to make a decision (if you have time!) Yes, it's basically a choose-your-own-adventure story, but it is so well written and told, with such deep consequences for your choices, that you can't help but be drawn in. Definitely worth the sale price I paid, and a game I'll leave on the system in case one day I decide to come back and see if I make different choices, with difference consequences and outcomes, in the future.

look the game is great..on pc at least DO NOT get the game if you have a steam deck. it often randomly softlocks. i have no problem with the game but even if it says its "steam deck verified" its just not. overall great game its insanely good i played all 4 seasons on xbox it was great.

This game is lightning in a bottle. I was just one of the millions that realized that and opened the bottle. And I am very glad I did. This is a MUST PLAY GAME. At the end of the day I love a good story and this is one of the best stories I got to witness and participate in. Stick with this game, it is worth EVERY SINGLE SECOND. All of the seasons build more and more and more, then the final season does not disappoint at all. The final season is just slam dunk after slam dunk after slam dunk. Every single character was crafted with care and time. The writers understood exactly what they wanted and it showed big time. I could rave about this game for hours and hours!!! So many positive things to say about this franchise!!!

Words cannot begin to explain the MASTERPIECE of a STORY GAME this is. I have never been a fan of the Walking Dead Series nor have I ever watched it or even been that interested in the "Zombie" concept. So getting into this was a completely BLIND experience aside from knowing it had zombies in it. And wow this game has left me speechless in how well paced and how it executed every season. This might by far one of the most INTRIGUING stories i have ever played in a video game. The amount of emotions you go through playing this is just so crazy. Everything is just WOW. I am literally left speechless. I wish I could go back and play this again blind and relive this experience. I have no regrets getting this. I'm so glad i decided to give it a try even though i was never interested in it at first. I had gotten this on a huge sale where it was 5$. Best purchase i have ever made. Please if u are into story rich games and games that ur choices matter PLEASE PLAY THIS BLIND. This game is beyond AMAZING!!! Thank you so much to the creators for making this Masterpiece of a Video Game!!! i also wanted to add that this game is perfect for the Steam Deck i played this game entirely on the Steam Deck. And had very minimal issues and runs really well (stays at 60 fps quite consistently). I did encounter some minimal audio glitches on season 1-2 and some blur glitches in season 3-4. I also had 1 scene in season 4 where the frame rate just TANKED for no reason for a few seconds and it was just one cutscene. Thankfully none of this really ruined the experience but i do wanted to be transparent and point it out here!! Plays extremely well on the steam deck aside from those small glitches

This is definitely one of the better tell tale games out there and a great choice base game. The story is pretty amazing honestly and it's kept me hooked since I played it. Although some of the dialogue options can be misleading lmao This is a pretty good game despite the horrendous voice acting but I'm sure it was pretty good for its time. I will be trying to complete this game for sure. If you're considering buying this game or buying it for nostalgia than just do it. You'll like the experience but maybe wait for it to be on sale

to be honest I have never really liked games likes these but i love the walking dead so I gave it a shot and lord and behold I wanna try the other telltale games now because of this collection give this game a try it was a beautiful story and it will have you at the end of your seat 10/10

After years of putting it off, I finally got the Definitive edition and finished this wonderful series. And I'm so glad I did. I sobbed so many times and got so invested in the characters and the world.

Legendary series in one collection. But it does have some weird and occasional bugs in all the games in this collection. Still worth it despite all this.

The ending was definitely worth playing for. It was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this game. You can definitely tell there was years in between the original games, as the controls changed, and the graphics became more vibrant and detailed. I was not actually a huge fan of how you had use F in the later games, and couldn't change them. But still, I highly recommend it.

Great Story, Great Moments, Great Excuses !

I don't think any other game has made me feel as immersed and connected to the character on such a deep level. It's one of those rare stories that stays in the back of your mind forever. Some seasons do better than other, but overall, it does a great job at making you think: making you question your morality, and which choice is more justifiable than the other. More games should be like this, not just bare entartainment, but a means to question yourself and possibly grow as a person.

Very good storyline and character development in general. To be fully honest, TWDG is not worth the $49.99 you spend on it, but if you ever find it on sale definitely take advantage because this is one of the best story games I've played.

Even though this game is from the early 2000s, I'm playing it for the first time; this is INCREDIBLE! As a fan of TWD comics and TV show, it amazes me how quickly I've fallen in love with these dynamic characters. What wonderful storytelling by the writers!
