I played the original when it came out. It was great to continue the story. And it was a great story too. I wasn't too sure about the new style at first but it grew on me. Performance was a bit choppy in cutscenes. Game was a bit short and the ending was stretched out. Puzzles were a bit simple but that could be because I've been playing these games for decades. It was great to hear Joey be his old smart ass self. If you played the original, this is a great game for nostalgia. If you never played the original, you might not enjoy this as much.

I usually approach remakes and sequels to old beloved nerd franchises with a healthy sense of caution. However the reviews and ratings of this game made me overcome my caution and try it. And boy am i glad i did. This is the rehashing of an old franchise done right! A very rare phenomena in this age where most of the video game industry consists of selling dreams and nostalgia for a quick cash grab. This game blew all my expectations away. It's just so good! It builds on the classic but updates all the right mechanics like removing death and implementing a hint system. As an indie studio they have made so much work right with very limited resources! They prioritize voice action over facial animations which has always been the right call in my opinion. Neil Newbon does such a good job! They have an entirely unknown guy composing the music it's just on point building the ambience perfectly. The worldbuilding and amount of details are through the roof. Where the original was a classic scifi story on the fear of AI this title explores themes of politics, social media and social standing in general. I absolutely love it all! I kinda feel bad i bought this title on sale. I feel it's worth way more!

This is honestly one of my favorite games, now. Irreverent, funny, challenging without feeling impossible. I loved it. Don't get discouraged by the first level it's just to teach you how things work!

I had a great time playing this game — it’s seriously excellent. The visuals and overall production feel like something out of a modern AA title, but it still has that classic point-and-click charm that’s hard to find these days. Revolution Software really knows how to deliver a solid adventure experience. The story is engaging, the puzzles are mostly well-designed, and the characters are all super likable. The art direction is top-notch, and the voice acting is solid too. So, is everything perfect? Not quite. Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan of the final sequence, but I never let the ending change how I feel about the journey — and the journey was a lot of fun. I also think the system-hacking mechanic was used a bit too much, but that’s just a small gripe. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this one.

I enjoyed it, but, like many modern point-and-click games, it ended up feeling a little hollow somehow. Everything was very much on the easy side, and the story kind of fizzled out instead of building up in the final act.
