combat is fun, music is very good, story is very nice. most of the content comes from challenges

worth every penny. I still have a few extra levels to beat but i finished the main story. Wow what an awesome game. Not only is the gun play fantastic and the map design superb, but I also really enjoyed all of the dialogue. Like hats off this is a must buy for anyone who likes do cool shit with guns.

Just play it dude, it doesn't cost an arm and leg and it's got great gameplay and writing. [spoiler] I can't believe a game actually made me not want to kill someone, I got into such a mindless rhythm but the moment I saw pookie I sat there for a good ten minutes because I couldn't bring myself to kill him. This game is absolutely amazing! From a purely gameplay perspective, I Am Your Beast is flowey and feels fluid and non clunky, the gunplay is amazing and all the little details add up into an amazing experience, The F.E.A.R like AI talking on the radios was something that really stood out to me as a feature this game wouldn't be the same without (although it would still be just as amazing without it) The story is amazing, its short and to the point, almost too short. The way the story is paced kind of reminds me of Titanfall 2 but its definitely different. The voice acting in this game is one of the best I've ever heard. In conclusion I Am Your Beast is DEFINITELY worth your time and money. I'm definitely not done with this game! 10/10 wish i could play blind again.

With really fun and fast-paced levels that get progressively more challenging throughout the game, each one leaves you wanting a better time and grinding for that S-Tier score. Paired with a fantastic soundtrack and great voice acting, I Am Your Beast makes for an amazing and engaging game. Can only recommend :)

I'm a kind of person who plays a lot of games and is bad at all of them. With these types of fast paced games I tend to get really frustrated really fast-- this game does not do that. I don't think I've ever had this much fun replaying the same level over and over again just to get a slightly faster time. This game makes me feel like a video game god, the controls are smooth as hell, the level design is the perfect mix of challenging and fun, and the voice acting good GOD don't even get me started!!! The music for each level are certified bangers as well! Even if these types of games don't peak your interest I heavily suggest trying out this game even for a little bit. This game is so peak

A brilliant game - fluid movement, a refreshingly wholesome story for an FPS game and great gunplay that makes you feel like a badass

This game is for people who like to replay the same over and over and improve their time. A speedrunning type game with good shooting and alright story. Don't pick this up if you expect a traditional shooter from this game cause it will be a short game.

played through main campaign and support group in one sitting over around 5 hours. game play is good, but some of the story is a bit poorly written.

extremely satisfying speedrun-shooter with a pretty nice story to boot. Absolutely nails making you feel like a beast let loose, even more than the trailers let on. this game is designed around its challenges - every level is a problem-solving exercise in how to most efficiently deliver lead into the skulls of agents. guns, health, traps, all are relevant & useful when trying to find the fastest routes through levels. A nice bonus is that resourceful & stylish kills grant extra time, rewarding resourcefulness greatly. Pick this up. Play it. You will not regret ripping the military-industrial complex to shreds.

Cool idea, and some of the most fluid gameplay I've ever seen in a shooter, I feel like I'm in an action movie playing this game. For sure recommend if your into fast-paced shooters, particularly ones that make you grind for an S tier ranking

In a time where- Eh fuck the special review garbage that makes me sound good. This game goes so fucking hard. The game play feels impact full and smooth. The voice acting is really goddamn good.

This is great! I don't have a ton to say. The gunplay, movement, and artwork carry this game. The edgy protagonist doesn't hurt either, but it may not be everyone's vibe. The only downside of this game is that accessing some missions requires getting minimum scores on certain levels. I.e. I didn't end up having to grind the earlier levels a ton to advance the story, but it was an annoyance. Still, I recommend the game.

THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. Doom was what I was waiting for this year. Kinda let me down off release. Ngl this MORE than made up for it. This is now a top 3 game of mine ever. I cannot recommend it enough, PLEASE BUY IT. If you don't enjoy the GOD TIER gameplay, the story boarding and telling will do you in. I'm tellin you, this should be a choice for game of the year.

This was my Christmas gift to myself in 2024, and now it's the action figure I never wanna put down! I sincerely recommend this to anyone that's interested in it--you will not be disappointed! "I Am Your Beast" is one of the tightest, most cohesive FPS games I've played in a long time. It's difficult at times, but it's so rewarding to improve at, just like any speedrun game should be. But, in all honesty, what captivated me most was probably its story, which I think goes understated in most critical looks at this game. It's important to note that this is a Strange Scaffold game, it was written by Xalavier Nelson Jr. (who also voices the player character!), and even when the game's story is mostly told in "kinetic typography" between missions, its in-mission dialogue, and one scripted moment near the game's end, left me entertained and awestruck! Alphonse Harding is such a gem, such an interesting, enjoyable character, and stepping into his boots, tactical fingerless gloves, and warm knit sweater, really gives you the sense of a person who is, on the one hand, a terrifying force of nature and, on the other, an exhausted hurricane of violence. The guerrilla war you're fighting in this game is one of survival, and escape; I genuinely think "I Am Your Beast" makes a perfect short story!

It's great, amazing movement, sick combat and kick-ass music. So damn addicting to perfect each level to the most fastest times. My only complaint is that I want [b] MORE [/b] Please pick it up. It's worth every penny.

I friggin love this game. I think its awesome and here's why, killing is fun. The story mode is really good and I like how just with text on screen you can get so much. You almost make the visuals in your head, and even then the text is enough to convey Harding's character. I don't really write stuff that frequently but that's one way I can put how much I like the story. Speed running is awesome, and I love games that make me WANT to speed run. Like I could pass getting like a A on every level but getting the S is just sick as hell. Finding new ways to just do a level is awesome and I love it. The music is so so SOOO GOOD. I cant even explain it just you gotta listen to it yourself. It fits the game so well and almost makes me do better, well it makes me feel like I'm doing better when I'm probably not. Please. BUY. THIS. GAME. or don't no pressure. Just know that you'll be missing out. :)

This was a very short but fast pace game i'm surprised how good this story is given the length of the game, Props to the voice actors as well they do a fantastic job they actually feel like real conversations and not cardboard cutouts. I will definitely be going back and trying to S rank all the missions!

This game feels incredibly smooth to play. The storytelling is simple but very compelling while the overall structure makes it very replayable by encouraging a sort of high score, endless mastery type approach to levels. Overall, definitely recommend

Even in a world where there are so many amazing movement shooters that set themselves apart and are all special in their own right. I am your beast from the moment i clicked play had me entirely captivated and wanting more. there was never a dull moment nor a frustration. for anyone who loved ultrakill this will absolutely give you that same fix. And in a game with such compelling gameplay the story even felt special and worthwhile. more than just a break from the action it was part of it. This game is well worth the price of entry, at any price. While short it will be some of the best few hours you'll spend in a game.

Kind of a short game, I beat the main story as well as about half or more of the side objectives in only about 2 hrs albeit I am very familiar with FPS shooters so for others it may take longer. I enjoyed it but I wish the levels were a little longer. I kept finding that there just weren't that many enemies per level and I would blaze through them in under 30 seconds usually. An option to increase enemy amount would be nice. The voice lines of the enemies also felt a little repetitive and some of them are a little odd sounding like "He's using headshots." The AI are also a little bit odd in how they move and act but it's not a big deal when you're going quickly I did like the music and the story itself was compelling but I just wish the game were either a little longer or that the levels were a little more challenging. There is a lot of bonus content but it is not as fun to play through as it's after the conclusion of the main story so it loses the drive of wanting to hear more of the story.

Incredibly well put together, and like Katana Zero it finds a way to deliver the story in a manner that matches the propulsive pace of the actual gameplay. Can't recommend it enough.

So... Imagine John Wick and you'll have something pretty close to this game, kind of wish some story missions weren't locked behind getting a certain grade or doing the little side missions to progress but that's just me.

Phenomenal game, one of the best examples of a "grinding the same level to shave off seconds of time" I've seen in a while. The visuals and emphasis on getting special kills to save more time feed super well into repeating the same area over and over. Each zone feels like a playground where you map out where the important items are before finding a "line" and perfecting it. Fun music, good voice acting, and great story. Can't complain about this game at all.

if superhot and pistol whip had a baby then that baby had a baby with miami hotline and then THAT baby had a baby with john wick and then that baby had a baby with ultrakill. then take that baby and give it comic graphics and a damn great story with a little bit of comedy added to the mix you have i am your beast. i only have two complaints that this game isnt longer and that we didnt get more of babe (byron)

I don't really care much about replaying levels for the extra objectives so I can't talk to replayability, but this is basically john wick 1 as a game in terms of tone and how it makes you feel while you're playing; ridiculously funny dialogue and a story that surprisingly had me hooked to keep playing to just learn more about the characters and their interactions. Well worth playing (and replaying) if you enjoy games of this genre.

Lightning fast arcade style FPS gameplay that only gets better the more you play it. Story surprised me how invested I got, I wasn't expecting anything but the voice over is super good. The visual and sound design are absolutely top notch, the comic book style used was the best choice and tells everything the player needs to know while also making you feel like a god playing through it. I Am Your Beast is some of the best gameplay I've seen in ages and i'm really happy we're getting more shooters like this. Although comparable to DOOM, the last time I saw something specifically like this was SUPERHOT and this is 20x better than that. If you love Neon White, DOOM, Titanfall 2 or the aforementioned SUPERHOT, you already know you'll enjoy this. Tack on an adrenaline filling soundtrack, plenty of challenge in extra modes and bonus objectives for insane replay-ability and you got one of the best indie games of 2024.

Absolutely one of- if not the best game I've played recently. Its challenging, new, and most importantly, incredibly fun. It mixes a bit of arcade shooter with incredible movement, as well as a nice story to boot. Definitely worth the money.

Amazing game, haven't enjoyed a game this much since I played hotline miami, so if you like that one then you'll love this game. Getting S rank on levels is near impossible though, like you have to do every move perfectly, and some of the challenges are a bit too much, specially cause some of them aren't completely on you, like there's one "only headshot kills" but then while they try to shoot you they end up blowing themselves up and you lose the challenge. But if you don't care about getting everything done then it's a great game.

this game is exellent and fun and cool and i like running fast and shoot thing and the music is good and the story is good and you have aura and stuff and its cheap and is a good 4 hours to beat the main game but like over 10 to 100% the whole game (i have 10 and have 100% the main story half completed the bonus levels and havent started the 2 other missions) only bad thing was the cavalry music that made it feel like my brain was being melted and my ears were bleeding - but thats only 1 level so its ok

I bought this game because it was overwhelmingly positive and I can wholeheartedly say that it has become one of my favorite games. The voice acting is great, and the combat is refreshing, the campaign itself isn't too long, but it makes up for it in being relatively replayable with the extra challenges. 10/10

This game is the game of games i'd have to say, it takes in a compelling story as well as fast paced action that a lot of story games are scared to touch with a 10 foot pole, I extremely recommend this game and i really hope it gets some sort of sequel or prequel [spoiler] who is harding i've never heard of this man [/spoiler]

this game is fantastic. if you're a fan of fast paced combo shooters (Mullet Mad Jack, Hotline Miami, Dusk etc), then you'll love this. adrenaline fuelled combos, headshots & explosions galore, all while being as quick and efficient as possible, doing optional side objectives. someone once said: this feels like SUPERHOT without the slow-mo. and i can agree. to me, this game feels like a 3 game mix of SUPERHOT, Hotline Miami & XIII (yeah the old school ps2 comic-style game). the story of Harding going Rogue, against his messed up boss, Burkin, and causing the man nothing but fear, all because Harding's "LAST" mission, goes against his principles. and finds a new friend on the way. i love this story. this game is also quite difficult, it isn't easy by any means. but trial & error is key in this. looking for tips on youtube, improved my ranking! (going from b to A's on most, b to S's on a couple levels) but definitely do recommend this game, and can also see why it was nominated for GOTY in 2024. it is an adrenaline rush like no other, using any weapon you can find, chowing through multiple COI agents against you. this game doesnt give you the weapons. this game give the ENEMIES the weapons & says to you "you want that? take it!" 9.5/10 (tips: kicking enemies on the floor & from behind, explosion kills, throwing knife kills & sniper collaterals are the best time additions. you're welcome.)

Absolutely fantastic first-person shooter/beat-em-up in the "instant restart" style (think Hotline Miami or Neon White). Easily one of the best examples of this narrow sub-genre with a stylishly told story featuring very likable (and unlikable) characters and their toxic relationships. Highly recommend.
