One of the best zombie games of all time. I personally have it up there with The Last Of Us and Left 4 Dead. I absolutely love this game to my core. This game is tragic, and is very heavy for the average viewer, so beware of the content. The relationship dynamic between Clem and Lee is just amazing. This game wrote a kid to be likable and realistic. The story is a 10/10, and the choose your own path style is Telltale's best work. Takes about 10 to 12 hours to beat, and when you complete it, you will have experienced one of the best games of our generation. 9.7/10 Overall

Honestly,I didn't expect a point-and-click game to surprise me so positively.The Walking Dead completely surprised me in the best possible way.I recommend this game to everyone. 10/10 Masterpiece

To be fair I bought it only because it was a season sale and the game was cheap. The whole story will literally leave you crying, screaming, throwing up as well with rage and plot twists, so that you wish nothing but choke them all. No game has made me cry like this before, good example and chance to develop emotional intelligence. You choose how the story begins and ends, exactly the same way our life works. I'm looking forward to buy next seasons in the close future.

I recommend it, but I suggest buying all the seasons, the story is very good, like a show.

I’m a decade late to it but I officially finished the first season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead! Season One is such a gripping narrative adventure that absolutely excels in character development and emotional storytelling. The choices the player make have a real impact, leading to a deeply personal experience. The zombie apocalypse setting is used to fantastic effect, creating a tense and engaging atmosphere. And i genuinely loved it and I can’t wait to play the whole series!

Search up the definition of Agony and Despair, it'll probably come up with this game. Ts is genuinely the best story game you can find from its time, and could easily compete with todays top games.

Seriously, considering how often it goes on huge discounts, you absolutely have to buy and play it. Games with stories like this are rare. This game not about action — it’s about emotions, about choices that actually matter. The characters stick with you, and the scenes stay in your mind for a long time. This isn’t just a game — it’s an experience that hits you right in the heart.

Its a storytelling masterpiece. If you like story oriented based on choices you make this is the one you are looking for. Its worth every single penny you pay for it. Believe me when i say this but after completing this game you will be a different person.

Really good story, would recommend to anyone who loves a story game, this is my 5th time playing it through from the past 3 years.

Fair warning: this is not going to be an objective review, as I'm already all-in with anything coming out of Telltale Games. Here again, the art direction and storyline is stellar, the voice acting, soundtrack and all-round atmosphere are all extremely solid, as the high quality of this company continues to amaze me and keeps me immersed and invested in all the characters to the point where it's hard not to binge this like the original eponymous series (at least the first few seasons of it, before it all went pear-shaped). Truly a work of art. Small minus points are the somewhat clunky controls (at least on PC), the repetitive and often uninspired mini-game scenes ("keep pressing this key until you get Carpal Tunnel !" lol) and especially the lack of player agenda and real options that could actually impact the story or even diverge into multiple quests instead of limiting this to a mere illusion of choice. Still a 4/5 since the story and dialogues and PACING are so absolutely spot-on !

What a beautiful piece of fiction this game is. Lee is one of greatest characters in writing I have ever seen, and the whole plot is riveting.

One of the best games that played a huge part of my childhood. I've played this game twice before on other platforms, so this isn't my first time. I watched a few gameplays from different YouTubers when I came across this game for the first time. I was a bit too young to be witnessing this gameplay, but regardless it still has a huge spot in my heart. I never get tired of this game, there's a lot of choices you can change and choose. Since I grew up with this game, my choices were somehow different everytime I replay this, since I also change as a person as I grow up. Yet, I still always cry to the ending, that's one factor that never changes. Moving on, I am the type of person who cares a lot about the graphics when it comes to video games, (I am sure everybody does). Not in this scenario, because the plot really beats to it. I mean, this game was published in 2012, it's not bad at all. As a matter of fact, it has a unique design compared to anything else. It's very similar to the comic book's artstyle, and that's what I love. It still lives up to be considered game of the year in 2012, and it still deserves to be coming from the bottom of my heart. Playing this game is a major canon event for everybody, trust me. Well, now you know how much this game means to me by reading this review (don't know why you were bothered to, haha)

dude just finished the whole walking dead series and I’m emotionally destroyed in the best way possible. The excellent story, the characters and so different choices... everything hits way toooo hard. I cried like 5 times and I’m not even sorry. 10/10 game that will ruin you and you’ll thank it for that.

I originally played this on Xbox but I wanted to re-play it again on PC, it has probably been one of the greatest games I've ever played. although one thing I recommend is when you get the game, re-adjust the screen settings to your PC/Laptops screen size or your preference but other than that, the game is very good.

I didn't really enjoy watching my #4 favorite character ( at the time) kill my #3 favorite character while my top two favorite characters witnessed it. But the game is very very gud I reccomend, it's able to be finished in a day b(￣▽￣)d

I hate making important decisions yet somehow I always end up playing game in which my decisions matter, AT LEAST this game doesn't make me feel that bad about my decisions.... yet.

It's one of the first games I ever bought on Steam, and it was ABSOLUTELY worth it. I will never forget this game or my first experience with it. The story? A masterpiece. The characters? Unique and interesting. Did Episode 5 make me cry? YES. It’s been 7 minutes since the ending, and I’m still crying (Lee and Clementine... I’ll miss seeing you two. I really loved their duo and their story.) Overall, the game was incredibly well made in my opinion. I loved the design of the characters and the world they were in, and the simple gameplay. You can tell the game was made with love and effort.

One of the best story driven games I have ever played, like playing an interactive movie, but you can make the good/bad decisions. It does a good job making you hooked(mostly emotionally).

It's more of a graphic novel series. I'm not at all keen on point and click games, however, I like story driven gaming so this works for me. Works fine under Linux using proton.

i already completed this game on my playstation and decided to buy it on steam for sale. But this game is a 10 out of 10 and the ending is very ( spoiler ) sad and i could play this game for the rest of my life

When first seeing this game i didn't have great thoughts for it and wasn't a big fan of the visual style so it just sat in my library for a while but when i actually got to playing it was one of the greatest zombie game that i have ever played, story wise, its a game where your choices have an impact on the outcome of your story and were sometimes hard decisions to make with not a lot of time to make them. It had amazing characters that you can get attached to and has great character development as your story unfolds and one of my favourite parts is that sometimes you have no clue when your decisions will change the story or how others see you. Overall these types of games may not be for everyone as you cant actually strategically fight and you are stuck to one path at all times but even if that isn't your type of game just play it for the story because it is incredible. Would 100% recommend and cant wait to play the next ones. :) Just also played the DLC and its alright but i think i only got it because you have to play it to 100% the game which isnt great but it was fine you have to do lots of little storys for different characters some were actually quite good but over all in my opinion its mid.

This isn't just a game. It's an experience. An experience that will make you feel everything. Sadness, Hope, Depression, Happiness, Hate, Beauty. You name it. "The Walking Dead" fan or not. This is a game you should experience.

The voice acting is more than solid, and the protagonist is badass while also being a stand up guy. Very emotion and story driven game making it a great experience. There are a few bugs, but they cause that much trouble. Plus it was really cheap.

Such a good game, the audio is a little bad and sometimes the frames and animations are silly but other than that the game is to immersive. Lee deserved better </3

This game is amazing with small details and other things like that. everything about it is amazing such as the style, characters, location of the game and even backstories and such. a masterpiece and totally is worth buying if you love feeling so connected to a game series. fantastic.

One of my favorite story telling games, and my personal favorite entry in the series and within the entire walking dead universe highly recommend if you have 16 hours to complete (if you play as slow as I do lol)
