What killed it for me was zero option for solo play. Played two games and everyone rushed the objectives giving me zero chance to loot or even participate in the missions themselves. I was having a little bit of fun looting and checking out the environments but i just felt so rushed by all the objectives being completed and everyone extracting. The point of the game seemed to go in, get good loot, get a character geared up, and do it again. Your really just playing to play again with a better experience, which would be fine if i can just play by myself withought the objectives being rushed.

Maybe fix the zombie spawn rate, games fun in all. But you clear a house, turn around and 10 more zombies coming at you. Spawn out of no where right beside you a lot of the time....

The entire run, I was popping antibiotics (where's the vodka?) just to avoid turning, and I still managed to extract with low health and only a revolver. The game is intense — a pure, hardcore zombie experience. It still needs a lot of work, but if you have seven friends and want to test your friendships... this is the game to ruin them. Verdict: 7/10 – Great game.

The reviews of Zombies respawning in rooms too fast are accurate, completely takes me out of the game. Theres a good game in here for sure, just, wait for a few more updates and maybe it will be better.

This game has LOTS of potential. All the foundation is there. The non scaling difficulty, poor zombie spawns and low fps absolutely ruins it. Its a very punishing experience overall.

The production team completely ignores player feedback, or rather, only listens to the feedback they want to hear. The gaming experience is extremely poor. As a new player, you cannot choose the difficulty level of the battle. Can you imagine that? In a game where your character is deleted once you die, you finally manage to develop your character through several classic difficulty games, only to suddenly enter nightmare level in a match, and then in less than ten minutes, boom, your character is gone. This creates a tremendous sense of helplessness. On the other hand, since the game has a team-based mechanism and allows players to form teams for matchmaking, survivor players often respawn together in many maps. So I would like to ask why, when teaming up with friends to enter a map, respawn points are randomly assigned? I want to play a few rounds with my friends after work and cooperate to explore a building, but the game does not allow us to do so. In 10 games, I am randomly assigned to a stranger in 8 of them. They may not be able to communicate via voice chat or text, and if the difficulty level is high, we cannot coordinate and the game ends in 10 minutes, with our characters being deleted. I don't understand the purpose of this design, and it has significantly diminished my enthusiasm for the game. I pre-ordered this game, but after waiting for an entire year, it still disappointed me. Friends, save your money—you deserve better.

It is early access but controls and game play are glitchy and crashes. Would not be a big deal but its a 1 life type of game where if your player dies you lose it forever.

good game the people who complain either are not good, or they are so brain rotted they do not have the patience to play.

The review will probably change on release, but right now... I just cannot recommend this. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun, but there's bugger all to do after playing the game for a few hours. Want to challenge yourself to solo nightmares? Tough luck. Want to create a fun-to-me build? Get absolutely obliterated by a gacha perk system. Want to just chill and enjoy whatever the game throws at you? Enjoy 3 maps with 3 difficulties that in theory are the same. As of the 0.4.2 patch we have: - 3 maps total (1 coming in the July's patch). - 3 difficulties that feel the same. - 3 zombie types (not counting hazmat and police variants, same goes with crawlers). - 6-7 ammunition types (don't remember off the top of my head). - 1-2 guns per ammunition type. - General lack of new player guidance. This is merely scratching the surface because if, surprise surprise, you've been born in the EU - good luck finding teammates that actually communicate with you (also pray to the VOIP lord for their in-game VOIP to actually work which it doesn't half the time for whatever reason). I've missed so many opportunities to get that vanity revival medal up because nobody spoke about them being downed. I've not played the first game for longer than an hour so... I'm not driven by nostalgia, but come on man; there's just not enough content to enjoy, not to mention the horror bedtime stories the actual veterans tell from way back when the game came into EA, just thinking about those is shivering my timbers.

As someone who just got the game, not being able to select difficulty and being sent into hard matches three times in a row is a big let down. Let us select difficulty.

Funny returning expirience, coming again since the launch people just rush like crazy while you can't even explore the new maps/loot. Exploration? More like a rat race for the loot. Needing other 2 ppl to play solo server is kinda nuts. Why I can't just play solo? If somehow this games dies on player base, it will become, literally, unplayable as you need other player for a PVE game ??

I paid expecting to get a game where killing zombies is actually fun, not one that punishes me for doing so by spawning more behind me and in buildings I fully cleared and barricaded. It's currently a tedious task speedrun simulator where the developers are not listening to its players and adding new stuff while ignoring the game's core issues.

I like the game but it's becoming unstable and really glitchy. Squad members don't make it into the game, kicking only works randomly, inventory spontaneously dumps when you left click to punch, animations take forever to engage sometimes, game crashing more now.

I would have loved this game ten fold if the teamwork aspect of the first one was there. Most of the time its everyone on their own until the last moment. I would have understood the main game as a gamemode but for there to be no option for a 4 player story quest or even a singleplayer one, really kinda over looks what the first game brought to the table. I get not wanting to make the same game again but in higher quality, but I feel like the teamwork aspect is a joke.

It's a hard game, okay fine. The fact that you get thrown into a match, don't really get map markers (like for the extraction points in example) fuckes everything up. Playe for an hour, did pretty well. Got matched up with some russians the didn't speak any english, rushed around, got left alone. Nice game, wouldn't recommend.

Probably the only zombie survival game where I actually felt scared of something. Genuinely fun and I seriously hope this game gets more players. I played it back in the free weekend and it honestly was one of the most fun I had in ages. Bought it because I wanna play more as well as support as much as possible.

I bought this with my mate to play and whilst the melee combat is pretty terrible, the ranged weapons are okay. The gore and animations for the zombies are mediocre and quite jarring but the actual gameplayloop is solid....... but.....
THE BALANCING IS TERRIBLE
What I found is that this game just relies on spawning enemies based off a set amount that is dependant on that area level. And this ramps DRASTICALLY in the last area, meaning when you get there you literally cannot hold them off either by yourself or with 1 friend unless you have A LOT of ammo and even then its scetchy. Not only does it ramp the spawning massively but sometimes they spawn right on top of you. What adds to this further is the fact that some of these misison objectives have a buddy hold a big item so they move slow and cant attack, this makes it NYE ON IMPOSSIBLE SOLO and with 2 people its not much better. I cannot overstate just how rediculously increased the spawn rate is in the last area compared to the rest. When me and my buddy got up to this we were like okay, we cant do this, better to survive and early extract than die. So we did... You know what happens when you do that? You pretty much get nothing, the benefit of it is basically YAY your character didnt die... yeah... my level 1 character didnt die... woooo....
By far the saddest part about this is
The actual gameplay i find interesting and I can look past the polish issues in early access but the sheer lack of thought into the balancing and impact of the matching/coop and extraction machinics make me question if these devs will ever actually make this an experience that we could enjoy and so we refunded. With the small population of players in Australia that are in this game its not feasible to look for 8 man lobbies and honestly I think its silly to FORCE players to do that. I remember the Division 2 did this with raids and those fell flat on their face. I truely hope in a year or something they prove me wrong with this but honestly this game looks dead out of the water because of this clear lack of playtesting before launching into early access... Sorry to say it, but when you make an early access game that HIGHLY relient on multiplayer like this one, mistakes like this will kill it before it releases.

I was upset about the launch of the game and all the negative feedback it got, but over time the developers have been putting in work and pushing out monthly updates so i decided to give it a try and lets say im super impressed its a fun and thrilling game. still need a little optimization but other than that its a fun zombie game.

The game has had a rocky launch and I will give it grace considering it is early access so I don't think people should expect a finished game. With that being said it definitely is not an excuse to ever launch a game in early access that feels like it is at least not on par with the first game, but so far each month they have been sending out decent updates to the game to make it better and hopefully the community sees that and gives the devs time to do it because one update will not fix the game. I just really hope they address and change the way spawning works soon as that is the number one complaint.

Great game for just under €30, but you will be bored of it after a week.. For under €30 the game is worth it. HOWEVER it's a shame, as there's the making of a great €60 game here. NMRIH2 does zombie survival/extract great with the exception of two things: zombie spawning is too arcade-y and the game-loop is too repetitive for the amount of maps (one large and two small). I suspect most people are buying into this game thinking they're getting a zombie Escape From Tarkov experience, when in reality it's somewhere closer to Left 4 Dead.. Both issues I mentioned make the pacing of matches far too fast; the infinite zombie spawning from absolutely anywhere (literally under cars, around corners etc.) means you just waste your supplies or get swarmed if you hang around too long (even after the spawn patch), leading to everyone rushing objectives and never combing optional areas or prepping. The maps then aren't open world, they're only semi-open world, in that parts are very linear in how your must progress. This is good sometimes and bad other times, as even though maps have you spawn in different parts, do different objectives each time and extract in one of two locations, it's still far too repetitive and you'll have done everything and be bored before long... The maps are beautifully detailed and quite distinct from each other, even in terms of play-style, so if they just added more variety in terms of objectives (not just picking up X amount of items..) and more locations for objectives/events, and of course more maps, it would instantly be worth €40-45. And then if the zombie spawning was more dynamic, in that unless you're in a designated urban area that is meant to be saturated with zombies (most of Lewiston), it would be so much better if zombies just didn't keep spawning in greater numbers and you could "clear" areas for a time (or at least reduce the threat level to minimize the spawn rate). Game would easily be worth €60 then. Also the character progression is bland as hell and you'll never care about dying.. But I'll give them a pass on one issue given it's still early access.

Played a hundred hours without ever crashing, most recent update has added crashes in every single play session since. Not a point in playing since crashing causes irreversible progress loss and it'll probably be a little bit before another update that adds match reconnect, so it'll just be a month straight of a game that's functionally unplayable.

NMRINH2 is a great game. It is very buggy and has some problems but still is a very fun game. From what i've seen you just need to report any bugs and them being an indy developer may take a bit to fix them, and will add them in the next update or hotfix. I got a response with 2 hours. Its randomization and perma death are my favorite parts of the game. Even only having 3 maps I can confidently say after 40 ish hours I still haven't had enough of surviving and seeing what I can deal with. Only trife I have about the game is more experienced players will quit games because of that randomized level trying to get the one they want, I still like a challenge if i'm the last one left but it kinda sucks when this is supposed to be a co-op PVE. This one is addressed in the road map but there needs to be a tutorial for noobs about getting infected. They do not know what the hell is going on and that was my first experience with it too. Future looks promising, really hoping more people can support this game.

I'm excited to see what the Devs have in store for this game. Do I think its worth 30 bucks right now no. not enough content yet to justify that. Combat is hit and miss with me don't hate and don't love the clunky feeling of melee combat (takes a minute to get good at). Gun-play though that's where this game shines the most in my opinion its an absolute blast. If you've got 30 bucks burning a hole in your pocket i highly recommend it, if you're stuck on the fence i would wait for more content and just see where this games takes off too. But i'm very excited to see where it goes from here.

first time i played this game, i was already in love with it, it's not perfect but definitely worth my time. yeah it's hard in the beginning, but that's just the learning process for this game, 10/10 will always play this game again. (wait for some more updates to come out, since it's not really balanced at the moment, with zombies spawning to fast)

Overall experience? Solid game, great foundation, great horror aspect. The players make the game what it is each round. Loud and shooting nonstop, you draw a LOT more attention from zombies which make it HARDER, sneak and melee? Rounds tend to go smoother up until the scripted alarm events in some maps. The game is good really good, melee was broken, inventory was horrid, and gunplay was wonky.....NOW after some recent updates this year so far the game has come from "why did i buy this at all" and turned into "oh my god i wanna keep playing and keep my character alive at all costs". I recommend taking the game at its current state with a grain of salt. IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN INTIAL LAUNCH which is what a lot of the older reviews refer to and i wouldnt even consider the free weekend players a valid review because most of them havent spent more than an hour or two in game. This game is reviving itself slowly into a very very very capable well thought out zombie survival sim game that makes or breaks your bonds with fellow survivors. At its current state i would say the price tag is very reasonable as long as your pc specs meet the above min specs you should have a very enjoyable time once you learn the ropes. Ask your fellow survivors for advice. Be sneaky, DONT go guns blazing this IS NOT that kind of game. Never has been, you CAN do that it just makes it harder and if you're just starting out it will be HELL for you. If you still dont like it you're not out much just get your refund before the 2hr limit and come back again later after more updates and you watch some youtube videos on it as it updates.

Very fun game, absolutely loved it. A bit rough on the edge's, but in the same time best early access development I've seen, new content and fixes comes out frequently. P.S. I'm playing only with friends on the hardest difficulty, for 16 hours still can't finish one mission. Gonna keep trying)

I think this game gets a bad rap. On release, it was deserved, and even now it's still not for everyone. There's a lot of people who want the slower and linear levels from NMRIH1 (which is also a fun game and you should try). It also has its fair share of bugs and problems but the amount of improvements, new features, and effort by the devs to listen to the community and make the game better has been great. So many devs would have given up or doubled down on bad decisions, but these devs are different here. Pros: - Amazing maps - these are the best things about this game. Highly detailed, explorable and dripping with atmosphere. Even some easter eggs if you look closely. Radios and environmental storytelling reveal the state of the zombie apocalypse and it really evokes Dawn of the Dead / George Romero movies. - Zombies remind me of Romero shamblers and are kinda creepy - they scream, cry, laugh, and won't stop trying to eat you. There's also a chance to get infected when you get grabbed which makes everything feel more dangerous. (You can use pills to slow the infection or even find a rare cure.) - Weapons feel impactful. Some melee weapons still need balancing but a lot of them are really fun to use and the guns are well animated and punchy. - When you land in a lobby with folks that are communicating and working together, it feels awesome. Really fun to meet up with other survivors and put together makeshift teams. - Sound design is good, lots of spooky sounds, dynamic soundtrack, sounds of the apocalypse in the background, picking up items and interacting has good feedback. -Main gameplay loop is fun, frantic, the points of interest are challenging but get easier the more you do them. -A lot of the game objectives are intuitive enough to figure out on your own and easy to hop in and help other players. - The devs are constantly updating the roadmap and adding lots of requested features. Cons - Still a lot of small bugs. Sometimes there are crashes, and when I first played, the game wouldn't launch. (Fixed now for me, had to reinstall and then verify files.). - If you get a bad team or a bunch of people die, you can now early extract, but it's not always apparent where the extraction points are. - Zombies spawning always makes you feel surrounded, which can add to the atmosphere and frantic nature, but it sucks to clear out a house and suddenly there are zombies still inside. Would make more sense to have the additional zombies appear outside of buildings or give the player a break after an intense zombie attack. - If you get a bad team or if you're the only one at a complicated objective, it kinda sucks to do the objectives alone. You're pretty much screwed if you're at the finale and it's only you or one other person. - Lots of inventory space, items need more balancing to have realistic inventory holding size. I've seen lots of players just dumping dozens of health kits at the end of the level just because they have the room to pick them up. -If you extract your survivor and they are infected, there are no consequences. It's fine from a gameplay perspective (it doesn't affect you), but maybe they should get a negative perk or something. -Survivors look kinda ugly. They are adding customization soon though, so maybe it'll get better. I didn't play this game on release, but after giving it a try after the Reanimation plus, I really enjoy the two new maps, infection system, and improved gameplay. It can be a difficult game, and new survivors might not survive, but I haven't gotten tired and I want to keep playing. I really would recommend playing this on a free weekend or getting this game on sale if you're a fan of zombies. It is early access, yes, but it's really improving with regular updates and the devs are listening. Just playing it for the time I have, I can really tell the there's a good direction for this game. I'm really excited to keep playing and I hope more folks give it a chance.

game is in early access, and the only thing I can say is everything feels bad. Guns don't feel good to use, melee is clunky, zombies can be difficult to stun at times, and for a new player, games feel impossibly long. Nothing is properly explained, which can be a good thing, but can at times be a miss on this one. My primary complaint however, above everything else this game has going for it, is re spawns. There are no safe areas, there is no one building you cleared and can come back to, there is place safe to sit and heal up, re spawns would be fine if they weren't every single time I turned my back to an area. I like the constant pressure, don't get me wrong. and there are some moments where zombie spawns genuinely made my experience better, like them falling off of a roof (that was the only example and that was because it was novel). I desperately want to like this game and I will definitely continue playing but at this time, the core game play feels bad. not a bug issue, not a balance issue, just sloppy. and from the studio that made chivalry, I'm deeply disappointed. I'd love to change my review in the future, but the game is just unenjoyable in its current state. Removing (or heavily reworking) re spawns is a good first step, but melee needs a complete rework.

it's a fun game, there are a few things that need to be tweaked but I don't understand the amount of hate it gets, they give it regular updates that add weapons and fix issues people have and the game itself is difficult but makes you feel like you're actually pushing your way through hordes of zombies. people need to remember that this is early access and not the endgame, just be patient.

I have always been a fan of zombie games and looter shooters and I will say there are a lot of things that this game does well considering it's not even fully finished. But with that being said there are some mechanics that need to be fixed such as the team extraction being a must and how there isn't a lot to do after you get your character to rank 50 I also wish there were more mission to do but im willing to wait for more updates . I do think that there is so much room for improvement but I don't think it's a bad game and the fact there actively trying to improve also says a lot I think you should give the game a chance

I know i left a thumbs down on this game but I'm honestly kinda torn about it. Why? because this game clearly has potential but lacks so much content. Content it's predecessor had but for some reason this sequel lacks. I get that they're doing almost monthly updates on this game to catch up with all the missing features from launch, and the updates have been more than great according to other reviews but if you look at it realistically that's all those updates amount to: Catching up (Although I will say, the speed at which they put out these updates is still far better than other titles with similar launches/circumstances. Gotta give credit where credit is due.) Here's my opinion on what the game needs: WHAT IT BADLY NEEDS: *New maps or things to do in the current maps - The maps are big enough that you can't really clear and explore everywhere in a few runs (which is great, this aspect adds more replayability to the maps imo). The main problem however is that there really isn't much to do in these big ass maps. Sure there are different areas and locations with objectives outside of the MAIN objective but all these areas really amount to is opening a small - large sized loot room with guns, ammo, and meds. The map is huge but feels incredibly barren due to a lack of variety in things to do in them. *More character progression, stats, rewards, etc - There really isn't much in terms of character progression. Sure, perma-death per character is a thing here but all you really lose are the various random perks your character gets every 10 levels (capped out at lvl 50). It's honestly pretty easy to max out a character (about 3-4 runs which take anywhere between 20min - 1 hour per run depending on how good everyone in the lobby is), after that it's just the same repetitive gameplay loop with no further reward after that. - I highly recommend something like a stat system that allows our characters to get beefed up with each level. The devs can implement it however they want, whether they want us to allocate the skill points ourselves per level or if they want use to unlock achievements for bonus stats like: Running a certain distance with a full weight capacity/inventory increases max carry capacity/stamina (or something like that). I think adding something like this gives players more incentive to actually care about their character since they would have spent more time sculpting them to fit their individual play styles because honestly, a character dying doesn't really feel like you lost anything in the current state of the game. - Also, this next one may be a bit controversial but I think it would be a nice touch for players to keep the loot they extract with so they can bring it to their next run. if they were to implement this though, then I would also recommend another possibly controversial change: remove the main menu shop altogether (Or at least raise the prices higher so players can't get the good shit by buying them every run). This would at least incentivize the players to look for better loot rather than just taking what's there and rushing the main objective then doing it all over again then in their next runs. *More enemy types -Currently there are 5 types of enemies: normal zombies, Red/bloody zombies, Screamer/gas zombie, Fireperson zombie, Riot zombie . The normal zombies are just plain generic zombies with varying speeds (slow walking, slightly faster walking, and running). The red/bloody zombies are the same as normal zombies but with slightly more hp and i think slighty more damage? The screamer/gas zombie is a very slow moving anorexic zombie which screams once it sees you, attracting sorrounding zombies to your area. When you kill the screamer/gas zombie it leaves behind a green mist that damages you and infects other zombies with the ability to leave their own green mist as well. Fireperson zombies have a hard hat which negates the first 1-2 headshots and have a gas tank on their back which explodes. The Riot zombie has a riot shield and riot mask. Overall, the only real individual threat are the running zombies which come at you fast but they are very scarce, even in the higher difficulties. The only time your life is actually in danger is when the zombies get grouped up into a horde but skilled players can easily fend for themselves since collision is a thing in this game and many of the zombies in front block other zombies from getting near you. This is especially evident in the crawler meta wherein you just use a shovel or THT to chop off their legs so they become slow crawlers. - I think adding more types of zombies such as zombie dogs, ranged zombies, etc will greatly affect player experience and will help make the game's progression more challenging. And of course we cant forget the ultimate zombie type all the players who played it's predecessor have been begging for: The child zombie MINOR CHANGES *Combat tweaks - Despite combat 2.0 having come out, and being an overall improvement, it still feels somewhat janky. There are clear delays in certain animations making it feel like your character has a mental disability at times. For example, the shove mechanic is kinda slow and has like, a fraction of a second delay after being input via keyboard press. This gives the zombie, which is still a few steps away from you, enough time to hit or grab you before being affected by the shove. Another thing is the incredibly slow weapon switching and no animation cancels. Here's the scenario: 1. zombie gets near. 2. You have to reload / you have no ammo / your flashlight is out and you have a 2 handed melee weapon. 3. You wait 10 years to switch weapons (or get stuck in the trash shove mechanic mentioned above) before you can actually do something about it. 4. Get hit 1-2 times / grabbed. 5. Curse at the game devs. You cant walk backwards either as most zombies have a walking faster animation when they get near you to strike you. You can try to side step but most of the time there isn't just 1 zombie and sidestepping puts you in a position for another zombie to hit you. - Basically, combat needs a bit more of a touch up in terms of fluidity. * Update the screamer/gas zombie - Basically too slow to be a direct threat - Gas goes away quickly and doesn't cover a large enough area to be a threat except when indoors - Gas doesn't appear right away and if your just a few feet away, you can sprint past the gas no problem * Zombie spawns Step 1: Area is clear Step 2: Turn around for 3 seconds Step 3: Turn back around Step 4: anywhere between 1 - 10 zombies have spawned just a few feet away already locked onto you. Step 5: ..... *More guns - Too many ammo types for too little guns. Basically there's a shit ton of ammo types in game but only like around 2 guns for each ammo type. What happens is you end up taking up precious inventory space for all this ammo, hoping you find a gun for the ammo type OR you leave most of the ammo behind only taking what ammo type in favor of a gun your hoping to find only to find 6 guns of completely different types. *Zombie health -Almost every zombie dies with 1 head shot from most guns. Red zombies take 2 headshots from around half the guns. Zombies with hats need the hats to be shot off first but generally die with 1 head shot as well. Too easy especially when you've racked up a lot of ammo *Full auto Since zombies die easily with a single headshot, there is absolutely no reason to be going full auto but if there ever comes an update that gives us a reason to, full auto on weapons feels janky due to the fact that both audio and visual cues for full auto only makes it seem like you've shot a few bullets but when you check your ammo, you've lost half to three quarters of a mag. It just doesn't feel right especially when you only click the mouse for like half a second.

Fun enough as it is - but presently too many bugs, horrible fps drops, and not enough content.

Probably the most stressful zombie game ive ever played. Ive played about 5 rounds and have had fun each time. pros: Looks good and raises adrenaline and gets exciting and updates make sense Mid: I havnt played enough to see if repeatability will be a issue yet Cons: I understand the complaints with zombie spawns being nonstop (i seen a zombie spawn right infront of me in a weird manner. But havnt seen any game breaking bugs yet. Overall: Its a great experience that actually made me sweat and stay on my toes in a constant panic and I love that. I I hope the playerbase raises and more people take a chance on this game.

I want to like this game but i simply cant: 1. Lag constantly which changes the way things melee and shoot 2. Noone uses mics 3. The trials are far too long 4. Needs Bots, in case MM takes too long These are the big ones for me that keep me away. Its not worth playing when I have no team help and die over and over. Devs, play your game. Refine the game loop and the FUN factor and ill be back. Until then, it remains uninstalled.

Reminds me almost entirely of Dead by Daylight just by booting up into the Main Menu. The soundtrack to the characters and skills are Dead by Daylight but in a FPS in my opinion. The gameplay however, is unique. This is no tacticool cheese of a shooter. The animations to the gameplay design screams horror, despair, and survival. The setting the game takes place in keeps itself grounded in reality in a believable and relatable state. There is allot of melee combat and looting here. One thing to note, the inventory system is a simplified analog wheel system you would see a controller use. It works but, I do find it difficult to quickly pull out an item or weapon in the heat of the moment. I am getting better at it over time though. So, with what I said, there should be praise and recommendation. Right? Yes and no. If you do not have a cutting edge PC setup, I would not recommend this title. Why? Poor performance. The game just crashes all the time for me. in the 4 hours I have spent so far playing, I have crashed about 4 times. 1 per hour. Also, after crashing to desktop, I loose my character entirely. There is a leveling system with skills you develop over time playing a character role. The game runs perfectly fine when I am walking in areas with low activity on high settings. When I pass by a certain map asset or npc activity is heavy however, is when my fps drops. Optimization in general is something that needs work. Good thing at least when running LOW settings, the game still looks great. And with LOW settings I still get fps drops here and there. Still, these indie Unreal Engine games look no different than titles that existed and run fine on my PC in years prior. Why is it now with Unreal Engine I am experiencing this kind of FPS drop. There is something up here with performance since I can play other Unreal Engine 4 games with 100+fps and 60fps drops. Heck, I can even play Ready or Not on ultra and get 120fps with 60fps drops and this game is an Unreal Engnine 5 title. Alpha Response is a good example of similar issues. It is an Unreal Engine 4 title that does not have graphical fidelity and it runs poorly on my PC. I am running a RTX3060 with a Ryzen 7 5800XT and 64 gigs of RAM and I have to play on LOW graphics to get 90fps with 60fps drops. If I were to consider upgrading my PC rig, I would have to upgrade everything in it since my motherboard has reached it's full upgrade potential. That would then say this game is worth $1000+ to a PC user like myself.

Extremely buggy. First 30 minutes were spent trying to get the game to launch, as there was an API error on the first launch that permanently booted me out until I fully re-installed the game. Played for about 15 minutes before I got stuck, wedged between a box and a tent, and the run ended because I had to shoot myself while my friends carried on. Look, I'm sure it'll be good eventually, but it's just so frustratingly incomplete and unstable to recommend. I loved the first one, but this is hardly a comparable product.

I've never gotten a chance to play this game! It will not load and will not stop crashing! And the one time I got into it the match loading took forever and then it crashed. I'm not the only one with this problem other friends of mine all bought this game at the same time to play online and all of us have never been able to get online! We just went back and played the first one. When is the first one that's like over a decade old still work perfectly fine and this new one can't run at all. The funny thing is I try daily to get this thing running I really want to play it.

Still no dedeicated controller support, still bugs present and somehow the gameplay is even slower than before, sprinting legit is like crouch walking. Hilarious
