Enjoyed it more than I expected, specially because I suck using a controller but it has fast and exciting gameplay that feels pretty satisfying. Good to play with a friend or solo, the only thing I personally do not really enjoy is the characters design but I do not hate on it either. For the price it is a good purchase and I can recommend it, honestly I should be playing more myself.

The game is fun. The default bindings are pretty rough on the thumbs so I suggest re-binding them. Also turning on the auto dash helps. Outside of those suggestions I look forward to the full release.

Don't have much experience with rougelites other than Risk of Rain 2 primarily, but a friend recommended this game and I loved it and got a lot of value out of it, They're killing it with the updates and support while listening to community feedback so I believe this game has a bright future ahead of it once it gets more popularized. 9/10

If you love dead cells or rogue likes then this game will be right up your alley. It is still being developed and so much has been added from when I first got this game. I finished the main story solo and it is definitely challenging! This game is geared towards co op but you can definitely have a blast solo! I am a pretty casual gamer and I unlike some reviews, I do not mind the updates that seem to make it harder for solo play. This game is just a fun beat em up where u can relax and enjoy a pretty fun game-loop. I would recommend picking it up and trying to force your friends to get it too (if you have any ;)

I'm on the fence right now since it feels heavily designed for co-op with the bosses and crap since I've fought the first boss multiple times and still haven't beat him except once when i had him at the last 8th of his health bar using only ranged weapons and then proceeded to die to his spam of fire wave things and orb bombs. So don't get me wrong it is good but it is also kinda bullshit with how hard it is to beat the first boss and I'm saying this coming from Dead Cells doing a hit-less run through the first area and boss on 2 BC. But maybe this is just a skill issue at the time and I need to level more. Also it does say we are the guinea pigs for the game at this time so maybe there are some balancing issues with single player. Edit: Just beat that boss and almost the last ones but I've found melee weapons are (at least to me) very unbalanced and don't do enough damage whereas ranged weapons are absolutely busted with there movement and damage so there is my opinion.

It is fun, it is engaging and I love this game, the fast paced action and by the Nine Divine i love the banger soundtrack made by Danger. I'm usually not that big on roguelike games but this one really makes me want to play it nonstop. If roguelikes are your thing or even if you wanna give them a try get it, now 🫵 I'm really looking forward to future updates for the game and even some more lore!!!

Can't recommend until they fix some enemies having near unavoidable ground AOE's (first alternate area) where as melee there's close to no telegraphing + some affixes on elites that are unavoidable)

Genuinely having loads of fun with this game. I can see where it can be awkward if you have more than 2 friends you want to play with at any given time, but I wouldn't want to have any more players--3 is a perfect number for it imo. The recent updates have all headed in the right direction in removing choices you never pick or that are underwhelming, so I think the game is on its way to being super good. My only complaint it that I want more! Can't wait for future content.

This game's fantastic! I love the music, the gameplay, the character designs, the weapons are all fun and unique, and I'm delighted with every new thing I discover!!! Excited to keep playing with my friends! My only major notes are that I definitely want a lot more playable characters, maybe a Raccoon would be cute? And I think that sometimes the ways attacks are choreographed are a little hard to follow, or don't warn as well as they might need to for how big they'd be (mainly talking about the boss in the Fungal Swamp, it always feels like he hits the whole arena when I just don't expect him to with where the attack is starting) Other than those, this game is amazing, you guys keep at it! And I wish you guys tons more love and support! Gonna do my best to share this with more of my friends!

Honestly the most fun I've had with a game in a LONG time! Fun fact-paced gameplay, amazing music, and some pretty nice environments. I can't wait to see what the devs add in the future! Only thing I can't vouch for is multiplayer (haven't played it yet)

The game as a whole is challenging yet fun! Had some frustrations here and there, but it just makes it feel that much better of a game learning new tricks, weapon combinations, and utilizing different builds to go as far as possible in the endless loop. Love breaking the game with insane stats the more you progress. I will say its definitely difficult going solo at first, but with friends it makes it easier! Just know the difficulty adjusts based on how far everyone has progressed in the game. You can change overall difficulty of the game but let's say it gets intense very fast! Worth the purchase now for sure, just saying~

I'm only about eight hours in but my kids and I are having loads of fun with this game. My daughter is a diehard One Piece fan and she loved the nod to the show with the Luffy hat and the three sword style enemy. Last night we had our first game-breaking synergy with gifts and trinkets that made us hungry for more unlocks that make you feel like a god (The team crystalize weak enemies gift with the crystalize action creates 8 barrier is insanely fun). Have a few asks for the dev team that don't seem unreasonable - If there's a gift I don't want or need - give me the option to just cancel instead of selecting a gift and and then cancelling after the fact. Or maybe you can press a different button to select one and it drops without replacing what you have, then it's able to be recycled or picked up by a teammate? Edit - embarrassed to say I missed I that there's an option to just take the golden shells at the far right. doh. - Allow us the option to see other teammates projectiles and strikes. In this house we all have monster gaming rigs and can handle the fps. I get that it would be chaos but we all agree that it would be chaos in a fun way (might eat our words on this one). Also it's hard to tell if someone is attacking an enemy that I'm already attacking. - When I hover a weapon or trinket there should be an indication that it is better, even or worse than what I currently have. I feel like this may have been implemented recently if that's the case it still needs improvement. Edit - it does show you a green arrow but I guess I'm just more used to it showing my current weapon for comparison and exactly how much more hp damage it'll do. - The screen flash and color change when a teammate dies is crazy distracting and has gotten us killed and ended runs multiple times, usually during a heated boss battle. All I can think of for now. This game is very fun I highly recommend it to my gamer friends. Hope to see a bit more varied level design later in the game, with more secrets!

This is an incredible game even in its early access state. There are enough objectives and meta-progression to chase (but more is always appreciated). Combat is tight, visually and audibly satisfying, enemies have great telegraphing and sound cues, the whole Alterattack system is chefs kiss, hell even the simple act of zipping between islands to get to the next fight is engaging. But this is coming from the same devs who made Dead Cells so Windblown also being a good game should surprise no-one.

i can already see the potential in this, just the combo attacks alone is worth price of admission, also if you see negative reviews just treat them as bug reports i think, cause people tend to forget it says early access game in really big letters. At the time of writing this i had just started playing and i already love it!

From what I've seen thus far, Windblown is a great experience. I love the style, the world, and the combat options. There is such a great variety of equipment, skills, and weapons to keep the combat engaging. It's a game that's fun to play, but will take hours to truly master. It's still in early access, but I am very excited to see what comes in the next update!

Great roguelike, been playing duo coop and having a lot of fun! The gameplay is nicely fast-paced, with a good amount of progression and content to explore. Lots of little secret loot areas in-run to find which is fun. Can be difficult at times. There's a lot of builds you can try and different ways to play which is cool. Good music as well.

Fantastic early access 4 player co-op game for fans of Hades...but don't be fooled. Windblown is a great game in its own right, with plenty of unique systems and mechanics that effectively differentiate it from the field of top-down roguelikes. A gem of 2025!

It can be frustrating, unforgiving, and a little too heavily rng/luck-based, but it's still a fun game with a buddy or two, and has good potential for the future. It was compelling enough for me to bother 100%ing it at the time of writing. Fast paced gameplay that's pretty simple. Though having to Google how to unlock several things including the hardest achievement also isn't very cool. It needs some work. But it's still good.

what an amazing game, whenever I ask the boys "are we playing WindBlown tonight" the answer is never no - its fast - 3 player is all I need - plenty of weapons - plenty of gifts(skills) - being able to swap gifts, weapons and items on the fly is SO GREAT

Currently not much content in the game. The game is *very* similar to Dead Cells (made by the same studio) when it comes to gameplay mechanics. Most of my early playtime was more like: "oh its like in Dead Cells!" when seeing how the combat/gameplay was. Except that if you want to parry in this game, you will need one specific weapon (which i haven't tried), and it's a nice change of pace compared to the excessive parrying you could do in DC. Disregarding similarities with Dead Cells; the game is great in my opinion. I like how simple the combat is to understand, and i love the speed and the wacky build potential. Some of my gripes are: - The camera FOV feels weirdly small sometimes, and it makes the game kind of nauseating to play for too long at a time. And due to the angle, i find it a bit difficult to see some of the enemies attacks, especially the smaller ones. - The "execute" mechanic feels satisfying, but it also feels a bit broken against bosses. Having a free execute from (what seems like) 5% hp on a boss enemy without having to do anything other than react to the very large window of opportunity, doesn't feel very balanced imo. - Ranged weapons feel way too powerful for how easy they are to use. I have had multiple runs, all of them being my best ones, where i was carried by ranged weapons, because i didn't have to dodge as many attacks. Most enemies were stunned as well by the "alter attacks" (this games way of making you use 2 weapons), all of which were very easy to pull off once i got the rythm down. All-in-all this game deserves a 7/10. If you haven't played Dead Cells then i suggest picking up that game first, as it is amazing and both of these games are very similar in gameplay.

Amazing game! Very satisfied after beating the last area currently in the game. The combat is fluid and punchy, which is exactly what you'd expect from a Motion Twin game and the art style is breathtaking. The character designs and environment and work in tandem with the amazing soundtrack to shape an unforgettable experience

I can see hundreds of hours of gameplay with this game. I love how the "gifts" mechanics in game offers numerous builds. The "alterattacks" is a very lovely and unique mechanic as well which adds spice to the action! That goes without saying, it is so fun to play with different combinations of weapons in a run. This is a masterpiece!

I love this game. Currently have almost all of the available in game items and am currently hunting the difficulty skins. The artwork, music, gameplay loop, character building are all great. Never too overpowered playing the first expedition loop, but the endless loop mode with more gift slots allows for interesting combinations. 10/10

Easily one of the most engaging, fun, and exciting games I've played since my childhood. A simple formula, masterfully pieced together. Oddly enough, the soundtrack is one of the more captivating facets of the game. Everyone remembers 'Go Straight' Stage 1-1 in Streets of Rage II, because it was iconic. Same applies here. Outstanding work.

Absolutely amazing work from the Motion Twin team. Great support for the game in Early Access and takes a lot of feedback from the players and acts upon it with big good changes that have only improved the game. Really recommend the game! I thought this was a Hades clone, but I was willing to give Motion Twin the benefit of the doubt and I'm glad I did. Had my first great run last night and it clicked for me. Fun game, with a lot of potential. The speed and environments really pull you into the game. I look forward to where this game is going.

Love the game but played the recent gift update beta really didnt like the removal of lifesteal hex we barely have means to heal as is and higher difficulty with limitations on life pools and enemies having more damage and health makes it almost impossible to continue to an endless and its not likely we will get it every run so why remove it it was useful on all runs when found please bring it back i recommend but its rough without this hex

amazing game, 8.9/10 very satisfying to play. The combos are great the visuals are great and there was no reason to make the opening cutscene hit so hard. The only issue is probably the lack of story, but still it's an amazing game, would recomend,oh and it's also co-op.

Very smooth and fun combat with a lot of builds to unlock and try out. The art style is also beautiful and doesn't get in the way when you have to react fast. The Bosses have good mechanics and get pretty dangerous the higher you go on the difficulty. A lot of enemy and environment variety that keeps getting better since the Devs seem to care about the game with frequent updates.

Windblown is a fast paced, harsh, but beautifully crafted combat focused roguelike game. The polish for an early access title cannot be understated, it looks and plays beautifully. Development and updates have been very receptive to player feedback. There's some further balance tweaks I'd be interested in seeing - in particular some perks feel kinda pointless or useless especially in the late game - namely those which deal set DPS which is rapidly outscaled by enemies HP (lookin at you burn and bleed). Also some of the skin unlocks, especially the ones locked behind doing a number of 'loops' in endless mode demand a bit more time and effort than I'd like - I wish the loop requirement was lessened for these ones as going around the levels 4 times feels excessive, the third is probs the max I'd like (once as a main run, then two "loops"). I've played exclusively in co-op with my partner and we've had a blast - its amazing how we struggled a bit to get past the second level boss and now we're making it to the final stage (mostly) comfortably! We have had a couple of server/network dropouts at one point, I think a patch may have solved this, but its rough dropping and not having any way to restore back in - options to pause and resume, or soft save in multiplayer would be really nice here! All in all, the game is great, will only get better as they add some more level options and continue to tweak it. Definitely worth picking up even now, it plays really well even though they've still got more plans ahead!

I found a couple songs from this game's soundtrack via YouTube Music app and decided to try the game. Not only was I still blown away by the game's soundtrack, and still enjoy it thoroughly, the game itself has brought me back multiple times, trying to get that perfect run. The aesthetics of each world, the way you can stack different effects with different weapon types, each run is slightly unique each time. And with the ability later to switch up the levels you play on, along with random boosts on one of the choices, makes for a good way to switch things up. Not to mention all of the other features I havent even unlocked yet, such as endless mode. I have a ways to go yet, but I wanted to put my 2 cents here. I'm a huge fan!

Boring, uninspired combat that feels like a massive step back from dead cells, with none of the interesting bosses or items that made it special and all of the pointless grinding that feels like a slog to get through, Windblown is a chore to play.
