The feeling I had when hanging out with Mila and Cappie was the best I've ever had. Maybe that's what it's like to have a girlfriend—talking with you, following you around, joking together. I wish I could feel that in real life. Thank you for making this game.
This is the only time my knowledge of Russian came in handy.
This game is like a gift, with a beautiful wrapper on the outside, mysterious content inside. And you really want to find out what's inside. And trust me, the content will surprise you.
Plot.
When I first saw a streamer playing this, I thought it is just another anime-style tamagotchi game. And since I'm a big fan of these type of games, I immediately bought it and decided to play it myself. And how wrong I was. You can't imagine how I got confused after realizing that this is a horror game. No spoilers here, I'll just say that the idea is brilliant. The developers, with a budget of 2 packs of instant noodles, created a truly masterpiece game, the kind of experience that stays with you for life. The plot unfolds at breakneck speed with so many twists you'll constantly be shocked by what's happening on screen. And by incorporating countless fetishes, it manages to appeal to nearly everyone. Here we will get into the virtual world, and hug an anime girl, and save the world, well, what more could you want?
Gameplay.
An interesting plot is of course good, but what about gameplay. Everything is at its best here, the gameplay includes everything that is possible, like solving puzzles, fighting monsters, stealth sections, and... playing cards with Cappie, ohhh!. That last feature alone makes this a must-buy, as they say: GLORY TO CAPPIE🙏❤️🧢GLORY TO THE ELECTRIC GUITAR🙏❤️🧢GUARDIAN ANGEL OF CAPPIE TO EACH OF YOU❤️🧢GOD BLESS THE CAPPIE🙏❤️🧢THANK YOU
Visuals.
Well, as for the visual part, here I experienced a visual orgasm. Many times. Literally from everything, as I progressed. The graphics here are unique, 3D objects with 2D outlines in soft pastel tones, and custom shadows (you can even make them in heart-shaped patterns). And with all this, the game goes as smoothly as possible and without a single lag. Praise to the developers for such optimization.
Final.
In the end, the authors not only created a popular game, but gave us a whole world, with its own story and many cute and beautiful characters. Playing MiSide, you are surprised by every moment, sincerely and childishly. You want everything to work out, for everyone to be happy, and you try your best to make it happen. The game seems to erase the border between the real world, allowing you to fully immerse yourself and enjoy the atmosphere. Huge respect to the developers for such a high-quality product, for an example to others of how to make games and for Mita, which has become truly native to many. We are looking forward to the update with a free mode and hope that there will be even more cool content. When you see a game with tag ''date simulator'', you think that every girl in the game will love you. But not in this case. Every girl there just want your attention and to spend time with you playing games, reading books etc. Nothing more, nothing less from their side. BUT, there is only ONE girl, who really want you in all meanings, and ironically, you are running from her... Came for the girl from the poster, stayed, because had to run from this game and save my life

MiSide is an innovative and charming narrative-driven adventure game that uniquely blends the exploration of memory and identity with beautifully crafted visuals and a hauntingly atmospheric soundtrack. At its core, the game invites players into a deeply personal journey as they navigate a surreal, dreamlike world filled with fragmented memories and symbolic environments that reflect the protagonist’s inner turmoil and quest for self-understanding. The storytelling in MiSide is poetic and nuanced, unfolding through environmental cues, cryptic dialogue, and evocative imagery rather than traditional exposition, which encourages players to actively piece together the narrative themselves, making for a highly immersive and introspective experience. Gameplay in MiSide emphasizes exploration and puzzle-solving, but with a contemplative pace that invites reflection rather than fast action. The puzzles are thoughtfully integrated into the environment, often relying on observation, pattern recognition, and lateral thinking, all of which contribute to the sense of uncovering hidden layers within the protagonist’s mind. While some puzzles can be challenging, they rarely feel obtuse or unfair, maintaining a delicate balance that keeps players engaged without frustration. The controls are smooth and intuitive, allowing seamless navigation through the ethereal landscapes and dreamscapes that shift and change in response to the player’s progress. Visually, MiSide is a standout, employing a minimalist yet evocative art style that uses muted colors, soft lighting, and abstract shapes to convey emotion and atmosphere. Each area feels like stepping into a living painting, with environments that breathe with subtle animations and transform as memories resurface or fade. This visual storytelling is enhanced by a dynamic soundtrack that adapts to the player’s journey, mixing ambient soundscapes with melancholic melodies that underscore the game’s themes of loss, hope, and reconciliation. The sound design is equally immersive, with careful attention paid to environmental audio cues that deepen the sense of place and mood. Though MiSide prioritizes atmosphere and narrative over action, it occasionally suffers from a slower pace that may not appeal to players seeking more traditional gameplay thrills. Some sections can feel drawn out, and the abstract nature of the story might leave certain players craving more concrete answers or clearer narrative direction. However, these aspects are often seen as intentional design choices that emphasize emotional resonance and personal interpretation, inviting players to engage with the game on a more introspective level. In conclusion, MiSide is a beautifully crafted and emotionally compelling adventure that offers a fresh take on storytelling through its exploration of memory and identity. Its combination of haunting visuals, evocative sound design, and thoughtful puzzles creates an experience that lingers long after the game is finished. For players who appreciate games that challenge conventional narrative forms and favor atmosphere and introspection over fast-paced action, MiSide presents a uniquely rewarding journey into the depths of the human psyche and the fragile nature of memory. Rating: 9/10

I actually got fooled Happened to catch some cute TikToks of this game when it released and got curious. I also somehow managed to not read the tags of this game thinking it was some kind of girlfriend sim hoppin on and started going thru it. Going through the Mita introduction I thought the game gots some kind of other tastes with the cockroaches at the start and when mita cracked and seeing as I had ONE obj unlocked I got floored with the horror started cowering inna corner and shit. locked in and started enjoying the game I realised was horror. but what I really enjoy is the Russian dialogue dub idk they just sound really soothing.

This is one of the most innovative games I've played yet. I say that because this game is one without a clear genre. MiSide obviously takes notes from DDLC, but out of left-field also takes inspiration from Half-Life, Portal, and even DOOM, all whilst staying a completely cohesive project. MiSide is far more than your simple merchandise friendly waifu simulator, and pushes the boundaries that Team Salvato set for what you expect from anime-themed psychological horrors. There will be moments of terror, but there will also be such heartfelt moments that make you forget you are even in a horror game. The developers have standards, so there are no cheesy jumpscares like ye' olden days of Five Nights at Freddy's. Not to compare this game to DDLC too much, but a major difference between this and that is the whiplash you get. In Doki Doki Literature Club, when the horror started, it never stopped. You never got a moment to breathe, which definitely has its merits but also left you a little tired of it by the end of it. In MiSide though, you are taken back and forth from horrified to charmed, back to horrified, and then back to comforted. You never know if the next room will be terrifying, funny, or even heartwarming. I find this superior, as it keeps you on your toes. Your main enemy will be Mita, your main ally will also be Mita, and the enemy's ally? Mita. Besides Mita, any other character (except you) appearing in this game are rare, one-off interactions meant to heighten immersion. I had my fears of this game quickly losing its spunk by having each Mita somehow fall for you, but surprisingly they are written exceptionally well and avoid this trope. Speaking of the writing, the writing in this game is phenomenal. The story is extremely fleshed out, with barely any plotholes. It dives deep into the creation of the world you're in, how Mita came to be, and the true nature of your enemy. The characters within it rival even Undertale's lovable personality-loaded mascots (despite every character in MiSide being the same person), interacting with the Mitas in different ways changes their dialogue, or even allows you to skip a whole chapter. My only critique would be why Crazy Mita doesn't simply kill you outright when she gets the chance, such as when you're in the Fog section after she tries to comedically drop a fridge on you. The locations in this game are beautifully crafted, each built to give you a certain feeling. Paired with the soundtrack, it rivals many AAA games with how it manipulates your feelings. Some locations are definitely derived from Portal, such as the railway/fog sections where it resembles the lower levels of Aperture Science. My favorite location definitely would be Mita's house though, as it is continuously iterated upon while you travel through versions of the game. Sometimes very small details are added to it, and sometimes very large changes are made to it, it progresses backwards as you progress forwards. MiSide is a game that I feel everyone should play at least once. It is a great introduction to the psychological horror genre for the uninitiated, as it is easy to get into with the clear elements taken from the core of gaming's giants, but while also keep its own clear identity. With a lovable cast of characters, a gripping story that keeps you on your feet, and amazing set-pieces, MiSide is definitely one of the most iconic games of the decade that'll be remembered for years to come.

This is why I don't play mobile games anymore... 9.5/10 (Genuinely a good tension filled game with amazing story and characters. The ending
(s) had me a little disappointed due to the cliffhangers or death to the main character, however, I am hoping that the reason is because of a potential sequel
. Overall the game is awesome and I highly recommend it.)
Misdie is a hidden gem!
I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging and atmospheric this game is. The art style is unique and charming, and the gameplay strikes a great balance between challenge and fun. The story draws you in with its mysterious vibe, and the pacing keeps things exciting. Definitely worth checking out if you're into indie games with heart and creativity!

Opportunities constantly arise in life, often in forms we don't anticipate. If we're too attached to a single outcome or perspective, we risk overlooking our own potential. Life isn't a repetitive game; it's an ever-evolving journey full of unforeseen turns. the player is wise to choose if life continues. Just to add up "Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door." -Kyle Chandler

Played through it had a great time interacting with all the Mitas, a little sad when each one you befriend dies or is just left there longing for more time with you. finished the game went back a second time to get the other endings and to finish getting all the achievements and that was also very fun. the only downside is that ive done all this in over 7 hours, it wasn't that i rushed its just that there was just a little bit of meat missing, maybe a little more time spent with all the Mitas specifically Mila. But there will be a new mode soon so i hope with the introduction of that it gives a few more hours of game time at least.

yo this game was FUCKING wonderful 🙏 The mechanics was fucking amazing, ran into a bug on my 2nd playthrough trynna get the final achievement for the platinum where i was trying to play the console game with mita but it was just an infinite loading screen but that was fine. The story, fuck me it was splendid. i really REALLY wish developers update the game more often and come out with a BANGER new game, DLC, continue the story to the 3rd ending where you wish to stay with mita or make a WHOLE new ending. Overall i wish everyone gathers their last pocket money or even lunch cash and buys this game when its either on sale or not. 10/10 EVERYTHING.

This game took me by surprise cause at first I thought it would be a short horror game where you find different endings which it does have two different endings however it turned out to be a VERY FUN HORROR GAME that has a very decently long story that I recommend highly to play. (FUN FACT: This is my first time and game to ever perfected a game which means I got all the achievements!) Praying for you 🕯️ O Great Mita 💝

Easily one of the greatest games I've played. Really amazing what the creators pulled off. If you liked Doki Doki Literature Club, oh boy, this game is a real treat. Immersive story telling, really fun mechanics, great scares, cute character design ( Yes, I am down for Crazy Mita. ), it really impressed me with just how many different things they could fit into this game. All around a solid 10/10. I hope this wins game of the year. P.S. I can't wait for "peaceful mode " to release!

This is an incredible game, well worth the price point, even not on sale! Visual style: 10/10 Not Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 by any standard, but the game pulls off both the cutsie dating-sim style and the horror-driven scary game style flawlessly by changing very little, making it very immersive. I personally love the cel-shaded art style, and while not everybody does, I absolutely love it! The animations are amazing, and the characters are all expressive and full of life. The game runs brilliantly, even on maximum quality (due to the very very small maps meaning less to load, beautiful simple style, and the fact that my PC is very chunky). Atmosphere: 999/10 The atmosphere is incredible. The game displays both the cute style dating-sim
especially in the starting minigames, Cappie's minigames, and in sections like them throughout the game
and horror aspects very well, fluidly changing between the two. The visual style blends perfectly, creating one of the most immersive psych-horror atmospheres I've ever had the (dis)pleasure of putting myself through. Sound: 9/10 The voice audio is mostly fan-made, although you don't need any mods to use it. Note that sometimes it might not be quite right, although I've yet to encounter any dialogue options that aren't correct using the English dub. The game's dev team gave it Japanese and Russian by default, as well as English subtitles, so if you prefer English-sub Japanese-dub you'll be just fine anyway. I've only played using the English dub and the voice acting and sound quality is still very much on point, and I added this section retrospectively because I honestly forgot that it wasn't "official", even though it was still released and provided as part of the vanilla Steam copy of the game. The soundtrack is very nice, and I have it running in the background as I'm typing this. Very VERY well done. The one thing I'd recommend as a note for the devs is that the game doesn't use silence as much as it could. Having a constant soundtrack is very key in games, but with horror - especially psych-horror - taking it away at certain key points and just having footstep / breathing / noises the player makes by default can really mess with people's heads. Overall: Buy it /10 Just do it. Everything about this game is *chef's kiss*. Go find out for yourself, even if you don't love psychological horror games. Get it while it's on sale and bundled with DDLC+, because DDLC was peak, too (go play that if you haven't, it's free, and DDLC+ is just an extension).

After I got my Steam Deck, I jumped headfirst into MiSide. Controls took a little bit getting used to (because I was playing on the Steam Deck), but it was fine; it's nothing you can't figure out after playing a bit. As for the game itself, the game plays very well, even with all the horror aspects. I knew I would have fun, but I didn't know it would be more fun than I expected. 10/10

The review is after the Youtube hype passed & it's still good. Miside is a Great fantasy for life in a game. The plot sums by me: you're trapped in a game world chased by Crazy Mita & have to find the core to find answers. Miside has many minigames to slow down with. This helps me enjoy the fast plot more with time to process. The plot aside the gameplay has cultured allusions like the unity engine turned backrooms, or cappies half-life axe. I find myself convinced to play games Backrooms & Half-Life because of this. Thank you Devs.

Solid game, though I would still recommend DDLC over this, just in terms of superior writing; the dialogue here sometimes comes across as a bit ham fisted. I think character writing is great all around, save for the two leads, who at times can come across as overly dramatic for drama’s sake, or just unrealistic. I played in English, which is noted to be a fan lead addition, and it is quite well performed. My only grip is the flow of some sentences is affected, I believe, by the unique subtitling options; this causes some lines to be delivered with awkward pauses and pacing, to not go faster than the subtitling allows. Something to note is that this game is technically, at time of writing, not in V1.0, but feels fully finished and I encountered no issues when playing.

Starts out as a dating sim or something of that nature then turns into a deep routed horror type of game. Amazing story, Amazing character, good use of horror and jumpscares, and the lore behind everything all made sense. Also the minigames and the secrets were great. I genuinely think this is the best game ive played in the last year, and if i could i would wipe my memory to play it again, cause i would love just another game exactly like this but longer, or even just this game gets updates to add to the story even further, maybe even a DLC story that is the main game ending extended. Review: This game was hyped up when it came out, and it caught my eye, so I made sure to avoid everything content related so I could play it one day. I picked it up last night, and I have to say, as far as the whole cutesy-anime girl psychological ai genre goes, this one is my favorite. The controls are smooth, the story is unique and the wide variety of characters is simple enough yet vastly different and satisfying per chapter. Many small references and moments in the game pay homage to horror classics while others play on the cute anime stereotypes of different characters. All the while, the gameplay is constantly a rollercoaster. Moments are relaxing and allow you to learn about each character, before you’re suddenly whisked somewhere against your will, scared shitless about who or what is about to jump at you or chase you. The game does have a bit of replay value as well with customizables and unlockables if you look hard enough. There are hidden bits of lore, minigames, skins, a future gamemode, and three endings to the game to look hard for. If you’re looking for a highly polished cute anime girl game that has a rich mix of AI integrated psychological horror, this will be a good choice for you.
