This game was really nice! I liked the story and the characters in this game! I got all achievements and it was a bit difficult. If this game had a more in depth way of telling you what you’re missing, 100% the whole game would be possible for me. In depth as in telling the player where specifically the player needs to go to get specific items, traits and unique ‘end of path’ scenarios. The game shows the completion percent as well as how many traits/match 3/ items and branch ends. But the game doesn’t tell you which place specifically where to go in a given chapter.

A game with this title and description should not leave me in genuine, heartfelt tears at the end of it. <3

A decent match-three "battle" game (i.e. Puzzle Quest-like) with a solidly funny overarching narrative about the struggles of game development. Definitely a good time if you care for this kind of puzzler with a good deal of charm.

How to make a match-3 interesting, and a hilarious satire on game development - sadly, also based on a true story. I had so much fun with this - being extra quirky, meta and always genuinely funny.

Worth playing overall. Some good silly fun, that makes time to talk about unimportant things as well as important things. At its best when it's a goofy mess. Drags a bit on the second half of the game where backtracking to see the things you missed means replaying match 3 forever, (and how prolonged those matches can be is really the biggest sticking point of the game), but there's enough goofy mess here to enjoy. ...Probably not for a full $20 though.

Surprisingly fun. I bought it cause the title is stupid, and the description is insane, not expecting much out of it, but its actually a fun match 3 with a good bit of variety. Each encounter has a slightly different set of goals you have and things you want to try and prevent so its not just repetitively the same match 3 over and over. The story is silly self-aware video game character shlop which is fine, and the bulk of the game outside the match 3 is finding all the ends of story lines to accumulate traits that let you progress further through the 'real' story.

Humor mostly lands, the match 3 gameplay is not very difficult, but it's chill game to match some tiles while enjoying an entertaining enough story.

It's short, but unique and engaging. Wish there were more games like this that weren't afraid of mixing gameplay like this.

Was expecting some kind of shitpost game but it turned out to be so wacky and meta that it kept itself interesting all around, plus it left a really nice message by the end about game development in general, which is a running theme throughout the story. The match-3 gameplay also does a lot to keep the game fun with a couple of mechanics that shake up the formula. Had a great time with it.

I really enjoyed this game! Admittedly, I got this game for the bit, but luckily this game is filled with many, many bits. The bits are just the beginning though: I found myself genuinely charmed by the plot, having fun with the match-3 mechanics, and returning to previous story markers just to see where the other paths lead. The game's ending made it worth playing to the end. The sexy dinosaurs are just the sexy, sexy cherry on top.

Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 exists with a combination of game genres that doomed me to be within the target audience, and I do not regret a single dollar that was spent on this wonderfully unique experience. Story recognition/spoilers follow: [spoiler] This game, by it's own admission, should not exist. The meta-narrative of its own development hell being woven into the game is sad, funny, and engrossing enough that I ended up binging the 2nd half of it in one session. This game is unironically art that has been transformed by the medium and industry it exists in, for better or worse, and I have nothing but respect for all those who managed to make it happen. I would never have thought you could combine Metroidvania action with match-3 puzzles and a kickin' ominous-polka soundtrack, but here we are- this game makes it all work. The amount of TENSION I felt trying to get the perfect combo of items and actions on some of these boss fights!!! The closer I got to the ending and the unraveling of the game's backstory (both factual and fictional), the more verklempt it all made me too- this is a very, very, very silly game and it is incredibly obvious how much fun the team had with that silliness, but it's also a heartfelt exploration of the pains, frustrations, and joys of game development as a career and artistic passion. I WOULD TAKE JJ OVER JACK BRIAR ANY DAY </3 Special shout-out to the background art- it is all EXTREMELY cute and such a unique style that ties the sprites and UI together, and really sets the silly-spooky mood, and I loved trying to spot all the tiny little details the artist threw in to each piece of artwork, especially in the kitchen!
