It has been almost three years since this games release and I say this with as much respect as possible. Save your money, wait for this game to be on sale before you make any potential decision on buying it, I physically struggle to continue to play this game due to the piss poor attempts at optimising this game, I would argue the game has been literally abandoned as the performance despite me literally going from a 1050 TI to an AMD RX 6750 XT hasn't changed whatsoever, despite the very few attempts the developers had made concerning the games horrible performance on and after launch. I grew up on the destroy all humans franchise as a kid, I played the first and second, I enjoyed Crypto as a character, But I specifically enjoyed destroy all humans 2. So imagine my surprise that my favourite game in the series was getting its long overdue remaster with the original humor, story and everything intact. I jumped at the opportunity to pre-order the game, and I will admit that was my first mistake, pre-ordering games in 2022 and past is literally a gamble. And unfortunately, my expectations were not met, The first remaster ran buttery smooth and was practically flawless in performance even a 1050 TI Handled it at max settings 130+ frames. This game however, did not, Performance was an absolute joke, even on the lowest settings even to this day on my newer graphics card, yes, the game went from mission based to an open world mission based structure, but this doesn't excuse the absolutely abhorrent amount of game breaking bugs, soft locks, frame rate issues and intense stuttering that the game suffered from and STILL suffers from to this day. Players have to jump through metaphorical hoops to somewhat address the performance issues, but they are band-aids over issues that should have been addressed years ago. The game has a distinct lack of a volumetric fog setting, either that or it just straight up doesn't work, as in bay city, london, japan etc etc, you can literally see the out of bounds, low poly textures in the distance, which is extremely jarring and off putting. Whilst the original story was left in tact, most of the fights have seen changes, or visual uplifts, and turning the bosses into literal bullet sponges, which the first game did as well, but this one has significantly amped it up and in most instances feels like the bosses are literally cheating. There is more I would complain about, but it would be re-iterating already stated points by many a player. So I'll restate my original point. Only buy this game if and when it is on sale, do not buy it for full price.

I love this game! However... the optimisation is HORRIBLE. The game stutters frequently and sometimes you get put into an endless black loading screen, forcing you to close the game and restart. It really takes away from the joy of annihilating humanity.

The mission where you have to drop vans on rooftops is infuriating and so poorly designed, it made me stop playing the game. If you fail once, you're basically doomed in the most annoying way possible. If you blow up one car on a rooftop by accident, every car you put on the roof will blow up since it touches another car. if you try enough times, the building will crumble and the mission will restart. Except, the game doesn't despawn the cars you placed previously on other rooftops. And you can't pick them up with your saucer when they're on a rooftop, either. So your only option is to pick up another car and carefully try to place it beside the other car on the roof, but if it touches even slightly it will blow up and collapse the building. I tried this a few times and the cars blew up each time. No one has time to work around janky quest mechanics like this. The remake should have at least made the previous cars despawn when the quest restarts.

It runs bad, very bad, and I am sad, very sad. You can do some things to make the first map run decently but as soon as you get to England, it's bad. I tried pretty much all of the adjustments you can think of to fix it. No dice. I love Destroy All Humans and have loved the series since it came out, but what more can I say.

Another great remake they deserved for the sequel. I enjoyed playing this remake on steam deck to go and play outside the porch or whenever I go out. They did an excellent job remaking the game with better gameplay and enhanced the framerate from what the original lacked. There are still some bugs or glitches that I have encountered but it doesn't ruin the fun experience playing this awesome remake.

This game is good, but sometimes the bosses are just to hard, like this is my second day of trying to beat this thing of a boss and I am on easy mode,P.S some are really easy.

I still very much love the 50's aspect of the first Destroy All Humans and abducting cows my favourite pastime but the sequel has such a good story line and improves imo anyway in so many ways to the first. Just wish there was more cow shenanigans. Don't know what the negative reviews regarding bad optimisation are about I never had a problem and finished everything in the game and have all achievements. Just because you upgrade your GPU doesn't mean anything unless the rest of your PC is upgraded.

The worst game I had the misfortune of playing. Broken on both technical and artistic level. Bonafied piece of shit created by piece of shit developers. Save your money and time. Not even on a deep discount. Too bad I cant refund it. Crashes, glitches bugs, janky controls, scuf. Juvenile, demented, racist, degenerate, sexist anti-human trash pile. No normal sane person could have created this abomination. The makers of this spawn of Satan should be locked in an asylum. Their family members are absolutely obligated to be ashamed for not keeping those mutant degenerates in check.

as much as i love the destroy all humans games, this one is just unstable and requires a lot of work just to get the fps some what stable. the big deal breaker is the fact it will crash often, you will feel luck if you get to finish a mission or two. i spent more time trying fixes/workaround than i actually did playing the game.

I love this game but PLEASE FIX THE MISSION IN BAY CITY WHERE YOU PUT MINIVANS ON THE ROOFTOPS the buildings break way too easily and you need to restart the whole mission. The cars don't respawn at the start of the mission either. IT TOOK ME ALMOST A WHOLE HOUR TO DO THE MISSION FOR GOODNESS SAKE! I just want that fixed and that's all. Also please fix the stuttering. I can run the game at 1440p Ultra with a stable 60fps, but it stutters every three seconds and it really takes me out of enjoying the game to its full degree. All it needs is a little optimisation, I've even seen community fixes, it can't be that hard for the game developers to work a stuttering fix into such a peak game. If I pay £35 for a game, I don't want to see the game stuttering continuously.
