If you played the old ratchet & clank games on ps 2. This is a major throwback and they freaking nailed it. only downside they didnt have Dr.Nefarious "Break ads" which could be awsome. other than that. GOOD AHHH GAME

This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful game of all time. Everything in the world feels alive. Animations are 10/10, character and NPCs design is awesome. The gameplay is fun, 10/10. I would buy it again, no regrets.

sfx audio stuttering unimaginably when there's too many sounds playing at the same time (which is gonna happen a lot in a r&t game). literally unplayable. apparently it's been a problem for some people since the release and it still hasn't been fixed, such a shame.

Such a good game! It would be really cool to see the franchise remastered and brought to Steam.

As an old fan of the serie who played most of the games I must say this one's good, well, if compared to the few precedent one which were quite disappointing, mostly by their lack of content, My favourite of all time in this serie still is Ratchet&clank 3 and I usually use this one as comparative for every other games. Story: pretty nice, a bit short but the news characters and our good ol' Nefarious makes it very appreciable (and the Alt Nefarious is just so good) Weapon: most of them a some classic in the serie, but there is still a few news concept which are pretty nice and what really stroke my heart is the "legacy" weapon of new game + although it was altered a bit, just seeing that one again was a pleasant surprise. platforms: not alot of challenge on this side, which is somehow disappointing since the mobility of the character was nicely improved with the new phantom dash Clank: the puzzle to solve are quite straightforward and pretty easy, not as interesting as in a Crack in time nor as challenging as those platform mini game in Nexus. Arena:same as the few previous game, quite lacking compared to the plentiful Arena in R&C 3 which was my absolute favourite(those bosses, platform challenges, and that one hundred round challenge were so good), the challenges aren't that bad but they are too few of them Rail:not challenging at all but still nice since they are mostly story related, the environment usually keep changing while doing them which is pretty nice. the absence of skill points is a bit sad, quite surprised by this to be honest since it's not a difficult thing to integrate and it was here since the first game. Overall this one was not excellent but still nice to play, at least they put a bit more effort in it

I forgot to write a review when I first played this. I found it to be worth every penny, loved the combat and exploration. Story was pretty decent, too. Worth it if you've ever enjoyed any of the other games in the series.

I played this game on my brother's PS5 and I absolutely love it, but I am sad to say that this port is really really bad. The game is marked as verified for the Steam Deck, this is not at all the case. I had to do a lot of tinkering in the settings to lower the effect of audio stuttering to a tolerable level. I thought I managed to do that when I first played last night, but today, in the second area of the game, the audio stuttering is back and just as bad as before, none of the strange workarounds I've found online work anymore, and the game no longer keeps a stable 30 fps like it did in the first area, instead frequently dropping to 10 fps or lower for about 30 seconds, making the game completely unplayable. This game is amazing when it works properly, one of my favorite games I've played. I'm sad to say that this port does not work at all.

This is an insanely fun, lighthearted platformer with amazing graphics and a great, albeit a little short, linear story. Having not played the original games, I found it very easy to pick up on the story and the controls feel very natural.

As someone who played the OG ratchet and clank series on ps2, this is exactly what i wanted in a new-gen game. Absolutely nailed it sofar, the gameplay and upgrade system works flawlessly. Not too easy not too hard, it feels like the games dynamics as a whole matured alongside the audience and has been refined with each release. One of the best video game series of all time.

I've played every Ratchet and Clank game on PS until i was not able to get a PS5 during covid, so I built a PC instead and never looked back. I feel they are actually AAA games that have kept up good until this. Everything about this game stacks up with the other installments, except for being a buggy mess. my rig is able to play this at max settings on 1440P while maintaining 120-130 FPS with no issues......for the first few hours. The game apparently buckles over its own load and it started crashing not only in major populated areas, but at startup as well. There's times where i cant continue my game because it just wont load from the main screen and i have to load an older manual save file, but if you do that it immediately will auto save over your last auto save BECAUSE THERE'S ONLY ONE AUTOSAVE SLOT. Ive now reached a point that's known to crash and a fix is to turn all your settings down so the game can progress. My save, if it actually loads, puts me in the game, but i cant control my character, and all i can do is die, and reload to the same fucking problem. my last manual save is 2 hours prior to the fight. I've probable spent a total of 5 hours having to restart or trouble shooting this game. Im not a fucking Lombax, I bought the game to play it, not fix it! I could understand if i was modding the game or something, but i'm just trying to play the base game so i can find out after 20 years where Ratchets people went!

First off, thisnwas a great game, I enjoyed it for what it is. The only other game I've played in the series was the PS4 remake of the first game, which I will be correcting soon. This game unfortunately suffered from more bugs than the previous gens game. Many times have I fallen through the floor when landing on planets or entering the arena in Zurkie's. I encountered a bug that allowed me to conplete a puzzle and an achievment way earlier than I was supposed to in the story. Speaking of achievements, they do not feel as rewarding as I had hoped. Most are story achievements and the rest are easy enough to get if you just play around with a few of the weapons. If you know what you're doing, you can 100% the achievments in a single playthrough and some change. That leftover change being simply starting a new challenge run and getting to the point where you can purchase the two extra weapons locked behind this new mode. There are no achievments for completing this run or attached to simply playing it specifically, or maxing out the weapons. I personally haven't gotten all the achievments yet or started a challenge run, but the few I missed should be just as easy as the ones I got the first time around. I do like this game, and I do appreciate the existence of a new game +, but personally there's just no incentive to actually complete the mode. I got this game on sale, and I think it was worth that price, not the base price of $60.

Just Wow!!! I picked this up on sales thinking I may want to do another play through on PC. I haven't played this game since it launched on PS5 and to my surprise this game looks crazy good on super ultra wide screen it basically a new experience. This game on PC looks next gen and the closest thing to Pixar movie. Very rarely does anything impress me and this game so far does. After completing the new Lies of P DLC this is a nice pace, however do remember to bump the difficulty to the hardest setting as normal is way to easy. On hard the game still feel easy but I have died a couple of times during my 4 hours which is a good thing.

Haven't played a Ratchet and Clank game since the PS2 or 3 days, and omg all I can say is you know when you get those games you can't stop playing (until you fall asleep), yeah well this is 1 of them, full playthrough finished the campaign story, loved every minute, and now I'm looking forward to the next (praying for 1) Ratchet and Clank game, so good I've had it sitting in my library since launch, but don't put off time to play it or buy it, it'll be worth it

This game is honestly everything I hoped gaming would be when returning to it after a decade of focusing on other things. It’s mindblowing and every moment feels really polished but also like the world is reacting to every little thing I do. There is just enough stuff to do and figure out to keep it fun without becoming stressful and the world is just such a beautiful place to feel like I am getting to be in.

I'm a huge fan of the Ratchet and Clank games dating back to the Original Trilogy for PS2/PS3 in the 2000s. I still currently play them on my ps3 with the remastered trilogy occasionally. I absolutely love this game! I genuinely believe this gives the original fun and feeling of the old games but with current visuals! I loved seeing the original enemies into current-generation graphical upgrade. It feels very respected to the original! However, I have hit a few bugs and a couple random crashes. The worst bug I ran into was when I was doing the pirate trial, as I finished it I jumped on the platform to exit and it made me fell through the world and died instantly. Thankfully for the auto checkpoints this just did not effect. I had a random series of crashes roughly 3 hours in where I would just crash trying to move around on Savali. I lowered my FPS cap and some visuals and seemed to fix it but I still crashed a couple times more throughout my 20 hours of gameplay where thankfully no fights or events were happening. I hope they release more quality ratchet and clank games like this to this lovely franchise! I wouldn't be mad if a rivet and kit spin-off happened if it was done right :) I'd give this a solid 9/10 :)

I haven't played a RC game since the ps2 days. Eh this was OK but I think the games from way back are a lot better. I'd give this a 8 out of 10. Story is pretty easy to understand once you get about a hour in you will realize it's just your typical stop the bad guy from destroying the world! type of plot. Out of all the weapons I only played with about 6 of them. The rest just aren't appealing enough to play with.

Better than I worried, not as good as I would have wanted to hope for and when it's all said and done this series still peaked more than twenty years ago. If you're a hardcore lifelong Ratchet and Clank fan you should probably play this through one time or at least watch an LP but if you're new to the series just go dig up the original sixth console gen trilogy or even the seventh console gen "future" trilogy because both existing trilogies are better than this failed attempt at launching a third trilogy. Pros: The basic gameplay loop is still intact and the legacy characters aren't done completely dirty even if they do go out of character a little too often, and some of the alternate universe versions are somewhat funny as throwaway gags like for instance a genuinely heroic version of Captain Qwark or the competent version of Dr Nefarious who bullies the one we know relentlessly. Cons: Difficulty completely trivialized by over generous health and ammo pickups as well as a lengthy i-frame phase dash move, all the new characters are insufferably twee and the writing constantly falls into MCU tropes and millennial writing slop. It's often said that the series lost it's edge after the end of the original trilogy and what it seems to have lost between the future trilogy and Rift Apart is it's tone.

If you have never played a R&C game go buy this game, play the first 3 games, and go away cuz I'm about to geek out Also minor spoilers as far as weapons but I'm not telling what the RYNO does so don't worry. It's no R&C Going Commando but definitely worth playing if you're a big fan of the franchise like me. A bit on the short side but not as short as Into the Nexus. Good story as usual but not the best in fact probably one of my least favorite out of the franchise. Next to Deadlocked The new Lombax's story was "Riviting" you could say? (Hehehehe) Unfortunately the humor was almost nonexistent which is unfortunate because R&C was kinda known for that. Ahh yes, the weapons. Over half are new except the classics like, the Bouncer, the Warmonger, the Buzz Blades' the Glove of Doom, and the Pixelizer (IDK why they added this). And of course the reskins of basically the same weapon but with a different name, the pistol, the bomb glove, the sniper, you get it. The RYNO was kinda lame IMO. They might as well have gotten rid of armor, it's now a collectible that give a small bonus if you get the full set. you can still wear it but none of them look too great except 1, and you will have to see that for yourself, but you will probably know once you get it (Hint it's from the 2nd game) The collectibles just aren't the same anymore there really easy to find and not super worth it. Graphics are similar to the remake on PS4 but better and not able to run on max on my decent gaming PC In summary. If you are a R&C fan it's worth playing for sure. As far as placement I would say it's a little worse than the PS4 remake but better than something like Quest for Booty or Deadlocked

Fun game for $40 at most, not $60. If you've played a previous R+C title and enjoyed it chances are you will enjoy this one as well. I don't do incredibly detailed breakdowns of any or all bugs or features mostly because it's been so long since I played previous R+C titles that I can't remember them enough to make any comparisons. It's rather short is the only thing I'll say. I think I'm somewhere around 40 hours total and I've already beaten twice on average difficulty and working on finishing on hardest. Wish Sony would remaster all previous R+C titles and make them available on PC/Steam. I'd pay $20 each for what like 5 of them?

I like this game for what it is. Although, I much prefer Action Sci-Fi games which are more serious and aren't too much on the silly and wacky side. However, that is just a personal preference. Decent story and combat. I liked the weapons, armour and gunplay. The game runs smoothly and I haven't encountered any bugs or glitches. I'd pick up this game once in awhile to play. I'll recommend. 7/10.

I was extremely paranoid after seeing the Nixxes/ Insomniac logo when the game loaded after the issues I had with Spiderman Remastered crashing and corrupting my saves. This game only crashed twice during my 21 hour playthrough but I didn't lose progress. Now onto the review. This game is extremely fun. It reminded me of the fun I had as a child playing video games. It is very engaging and visually stimulating. 100%ing the game is relatively fast with only 43 collectibles. I think the Omega Weapon system is intriguing enough to commit to a Challenge (NG+) playthrough. As much as I would like the game itself to be longer, I think it being relatively short is one of the reasons it's so fun. It's basically 20 hours of non-stop action so there's never a moment where you feel bored playing it.

Much like the older R&C games, this one is just pure fun. The story is engaging and the characters are great. Even if you haven't played the older games, you can piece together the general story. Though, I hope they port them eventually! The gun variety is fun which allows for different ways to engage in combat. It is rather short, 15 hours for the campaign but I am willing to forgive that. This game looks absolutely gorgeous, I was playing on max settings (no ray tracing) with an RX 9070 @ 1440p. With that said - this port might not play friendly with your rig, it didn't play well on my rog ally (Z1 ex) or RTX 3060 and would crash frequently. I recommend the game itself, though the port maybe needed a bit more time in the oven.

I really enjoyed how the game played and the how the story line came together. Graphics were great. If you overload gun fire it might skip a little but I didn't have to much of that. All in all there is game play for hours with puzzles to solve. Kept me hyper focused.

Although i love the game on PS5... the PC port is just downright horrible. even decent PCs will have difficulty to play the game with medium quality. i myself am playing on low quality and my game still stutters sometimes. worst of all: at some point in early game, my game stuttered so much that it completely locked the save. i can move, but can no longer shoot and am in a state of "out of border"... trying to glitch back into the game field does not solve it, respawning does not solve it and neither does restarting the game. whoever ported this game to PC should be ashamed of themself.

Nobody did QA on this game. You have to disable 15 settings just for it to look and play decent. e.g; camera constantly fighting you, interruptions every 10 seconds to tell you to do something you HAVE BEEN DOING, and if you use the "disable all tutorials" the game stops giving you mission objectives. What the f uck Sony? What the f uck insomniac??? Edit: Oh I forgot! There's no mini-map, the map doesn't center on you, and the only way to even get on screen objective markers is to turn it on specifically, good luck finding it through, it's buried!

Gameplay = great. Story = ok. Characters = bland. I won't harp on my nostalgia for the original trilogy, but Ratchet and Clank themselves feel a bit shallow and overly "positive" about everything all the time always. It gives the characters a sense of assured arrogance that the original writing didn't have. It's kinda turned me away from the game
