This is the most weeabo game I've ever played. Polish devs made a game about a polish guy that goes to Japan to drive cars and bang Japanese girls. 10/10

Fun Casual driving game, love the graphics and drifting. I dislike the racing parts and wish it was only focused on drifting personally. I will be honest I skipped every cut scene and I am not in to the story at all but I just like driving around its cool. Don't take this game too seriously and you will have a good time. I have only played on controller so I have no insight into the racing wheel complaints I am sure they are valid they just don't apply to me.

As much as I enjoy this game, I can't get over the amount of crashes I've gone through and no settings have helped it. It could be 10 minutes, or it could be an hour before my game crashes. Sometimes I'll just be driving around, other times I could be in a race where I placed a large bet. I've lost so many credits just due to crashes that I've completely avoided the races you bet on. This game eats up RAM like it's nothing too. I want to enjoy this game because when it does run, I'm having a lot of fun but I just can't. No other games have crashed this much for me recently. Unfortunately for me, in the current state, I can't recommend it.

Worse than CarX Street. I don't know how they managed to make a worse driving game than that, but they did. If you like being mislead by the ingame GPS while sliding uncontrollably down the narrowest of streets, this is the game for you. If you want a good feeling drifting car, it first has to be a good racing car. The handling is atrocious. You can't even drive the car normally because when you slightly hit the smallest of brake, the steering locks up forward. Not that you're locking up the front wheels, the wheels just point directly forward at the slightest of brakes, what is that?

For the short positive review. The game has a lot of nice aspects such as environment, car variety and overall sound. For a small company this is a great game with hopes of improvements in the future. The long regular review. I think the first chapter is just to hold people on the game past the return window because it just give you a lot to take in with very few ways to make money. There are only two things you can do. A race in the main story and sushi runs. Although the environment is great, the ai vehicles ruin the atmosphere as they appear out of nowhere and in some cases will stop in the middle of your path. One match I was racing to deliver sushi and the same road I had just used to get to the shop was suddenly stuffed with cars. Some were stopped in the middle of corners and others were stopped at T junctions. I tried to speed through but I had to restart and when I did, all the cars were just gone from the map. I also had a situation where I grabbed my phone and put it on my desk and when I looked up there was two cars blocking me from leaving my house. Like it knew I was there and just stopped them in front of me. The variety of cars that take queues from actual carmakers are great but the sounds they produce, although powerful, are devoid of lows and mid to low frequency. The sound they product is that of something that a low quality mic would pick up. Some cars don't even sound like the original but the sound is alright. The cars also have an issue with realistic RPM limits. Like the subaru's having a rev limit of 6.5k but they sound like they hit 4k. Or the RX7 clone going 7rpm when the irl limit is 8rpm and it absolutely kills the ability to hold drifts without wringing it's neck. The bugs I faced were crazy weird. One situation I tried to get into a race and the framerate dropped from 90fps to 40fps and then hung there at that exact number until like 10 seconds later and I got back to 90fps. Or the time I had a betting match and put half my money only to lose it because I alt tabbed to message a friend and came back and then the game went windowed but at a small screen. And when I tried to bring it back to windowed fullscreen, which it was, it crashed. Came back and money was gone. I'm gonna try to get a refund but I doubt it 3 hours in.

HONEST REVIEW: This game has huge potential. For an indie studio, they've done an impressive job capturing the Japanese racing game experience. Might revise this review in the future depending on how the devs handle updates over the next few months. OVERALL: 7/10 Pros: World: 8/10 This is the kind of world many racing fans dream of — a Japanese-themed map inspired by real-world spots like Hakone Town and Daikoku Futo. While it’s a bit too colorful to mirror reality, the map design is excellent, featuring narrow touge roads and wangan highways. Atmosphere and environmental details are spot-on. Cars: 7/10 A solid variety of JDM cars, with more on the way. The inclusion of quirky picks like Dekotora trucks adds charm. Props to the devs for even attempting licensed cars — bold for an indie project. Customization: 6/10 Decent cosmetic and performance tuning options so far. Hoping they expand with headlight swaps and more body kits. No livery or paint customization yet — but according to the devs, that’s coming soon. Cons: Story: 5/10 A bit cheesy and cliché, clearly inspired by manga and JDM culture. It’s fine if that’s your thing, but not really my cup of tea. Content: 6/10 Post-game activities are pretty bare at the moment. Replayability exists through story chapter replays, but overall content feels thin. Also, the Sushi Delivery missions? Not fun at all. Multiplayer would be a game-changer — even just 4-player cruising or car meets would add major value. Physics/Handling: 5/10 The handling feels janky, especially during Manji drifting. Drifting with a joystick feels weird and unresponsive. Still, considering it’s built on Unreal Engine 5 by a small team, it's playable and shows effort. Final Thoughts: This is a passion project — and it shows. A bold effort by a small indie team trying to build a dream JDM-focused racing game. It’s not perfect, but it’s fresh, ambitious, and clearly made by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts. 💬 Definitely worth checking out — especially if you’re a hardcore JDM fan. Keep your eyes on this one.

The story? Meh... The grip races? kinda suck/are pretty mid but the drifting man.. its amazing. And thats what you should expect from this game. I played it on controller so no idea how other stuff feels but on controller the drifting just clicks with you after a few hours and it feels better than in any other racing game i've ever palyed not even close. The music also slaps so thats a plus. Its simple really.. if you wanna drift you buy.. if not you don't. Oh and turn off the traffic its annoying as fuck.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master is an absolute gem for any JDM or drift fan, tbh for anyone who loves arcady racing games. The driving feels great, the open world is stunning, and the vibe is super authentic. I especially love that they included the Mazda RX‑8 – it drives beautifully and looks amazing. The manga-style story is a nice touch, and even though it’s not perfect, I’m having a blast with it. Highly recommend! PS: The mostly licensed cars are a hugeeeeeeeeeeeee plus!!!

A good open world racing game? A jdm game that is not another bargain bin unity asset flip? Not another rAcInG fEsTiVaL? Set in Japan? With both easy and simcade physics? Big name and big bucks studios should fear Gaming Factory.

There is a lot that I like about this game. I love the map as we rarely get open worlds with very tight roads like this. I also like the drifting, as it feels really good. Also, having some cars be actually licensed is really cool to see. However, the reason why I can't give this game a thumbs up right now is optimization. I'm losing my patience with so many games running poorly, and while JDM isn't the worst, it also isn't great either. Currently, I'm running at 4K, all high settings, with TSR upscaling set to quality. Yet, I'm still getting dips below to around 40FPS in some spots with pretty consistent microstutters. This game does look good, but not good enough that it should be running like this. Also, the loading times seem abnormally long too. Here are my specs: OS: Windows 11 Pro 64Bit Storage: 2 TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X GPU: GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Motherboard: GIGABYTE X870 AORUS Elite WiFi7 Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-5600 CL36 I hope that there will be optimization improvements in the coming updates because the game needs it.

Game is beautiful. Driving is good but the physics are definitely arcade based. I'm a grown man with kids so I could definitely do without the anime ladies, but I haven't had this much fun playing a racing game since I played need for speed underground on the PS2. PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER NOT EVERY GAME IS A WHEEL GAME. I have a fanatec podium DD2 it works but not well, that being said though you can tell from the moment you start the game that it is not designed for it. This is a GOOD racer with a GOOD(ish) story and some decent drifting (USE A GAMEPAD). I hope the devs keep working hard on the game and I'm super excited to see what comes in the future and I would spend another 30 to experience the game for the first time again. Keep up the good work!

game is amazing. anyone complaining about handling issues just has a skill issue. the game is way less arcade feeling than nfs. its a nice balance. if you love old nfs games like underground this is a no brainer. you must try. i played a full play through the first 4 days the game came out playing all day and had almost no issues i can remember. (leaving a late review sense i last played). i was able to tune my cars to my liking and the game had some interesting mechanics to work around. some racers are slow and get a lot of drift point some are fast and get alot. you kind of have to see what you need to build your car for and tbh i had a great time doing it. if you consider yourself a true racing game enthusiast you will appreciate what this game has to offer.

Well, it is a ride. Before the review, I feel I need to mention that I have finished the game. I can't say it is perfect, but TL;DR, I'd say it's worth to endure the downsides. ESPECIALLY for the price. PROS: - great customization - frequent updates - some decent JDM cars (even some of them are licensed, which is a surprise for an indie studio) - good choice of music to drift to (thats how you do it, Forza Horizon) - good *drifting* physics - honestly beautiful and large map CONS: - poor optimization. forget about playing on older gpus. - the story feels incredibly rushed after act 2. I literally had no idea what happened at the end - I had issues with my controller not working at all (despite it being supported as an x360) - brakes feel waaaay too weak. I can accelerate faster than decelerate - grip physics need a change - the comics, at least for me were sometimes confusing. Even with the reading help option, the amount of characters that are in the story, and all of them being black and whitem you just get lost after a while who's who. Not to mention the
fight between the Scorpion and the American dude
just made me feel like I'm a background character honestly, lol. - some gameplay need testing. For example, food delivery missions are often making you go back to a place you have just been at, and driving to the other side of the map for 5 minutes and then going back the same way is frustrating. Some events force you to catch up to an enemy AFTER you had a drift event, and maybe that's a skill issue, but I always had to go back, change to a grip car, somehow beat the drift event in it, and then do the event. just kills the vibe. I honestly think that for the price, this game can with some updates be one of the best indie racing game (and maybe even racing game) out there. There might be a long road ahead, but I do have hope in the devs. My rating (at the moment) : 7.0/10

Impossible to play with a wheel. It either doesn't turn or oversteers constantly. The game maps only 20 degrees of your wheel axis giving you zero finesse.

Honestly this is such a hidden gem of a game, i've always longed for a racing/car sim game based in a Japan setting or even Japan-esque. This really scratches the itch of not only placing the story (which is honestly surprisingly deep and eye catching even while being told through manga pages) in that setting but also really capturing the feeling of the street car culture. The cars included are mostly cars you will see in a street racing culture scene and the modifications you can apply to them are the most advanced ive seen in any game without mods even doing whole Veilside+ kits, although i wish they would've had time to acquire the licenses to more brands like Lexus or Toyota. Regardless you can still slam, race and drift them around tight corners and beautiful landscapes as much as you want. Only things missing imo are minor things like wraps/liveries, running into other racers on the open road and like i previously stated more cars, all things i believe they said were coming down the road so i will be back to see the progress later. As of now, amazing game and it only plans to be more so later.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master – All About Style This game is pure style. From the moment I hopped in my BRZ/FRS/GT86, I could feel it, that clean, satisfying drift vibe that’s hard to find in other games. The controls are tough at first, but once you lock in, it’s smooth sailing sideways. Hands down, the best drifting I’ve ever done in a game. Yeah, the story is short, but it still offers good replayability. You can buy new cars, customize them, upgrade your setup it gives you a reason to keep going back. Plus, the roads are so fun to drive, I find myself replaying just for the feel of it. I ran into a small bug where the AI just straight-up drove into a wall at the start of a race funny more than frustrating, and it didn’t take anything away from the experience. Also, shoutout to the in-game manga. Thought it was gonna be cheesy filler, but it actually pulled me in. Cool art, fits the theme, adds flavor to the whole vibe. For the price, this game is more than fair. The devs already have a roadmap with updates coming, so it’s only getting better from here. If you’re into drifting, JDM cars, or just want something with soul and style, definitely give this a go.

The map is fun, although one thing I noticed is that sometimes it's hard to distinguish between breakable and unbreakable objects. This is most visible in the urban area wherein you'll plow straight through some fences but the one orange barrier that's perfectly at the apex of a turn will stop you dead in your tracks. The driving physics aren't all there for me, but they don't exactly make the game unplayable. The most glaring issue I've had with it though is the optimisation. I run a 4070ts and still get stutters in certain environments like the car tuner shop. Besides that, it's loading screens galore. It makes the simple act of switching between cars a nightmare, not to mention just about tripling the time it takes to get from the tuner shop to the car setup menu relative to other games. The story is pretty mid, but it's a racing game so it's ultimately the backdrop to driving anyways. Overall, I feel really lukewarm about the game. I'm not exactly mad that I bought it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Not my type of game i guess. The graphical errors i got was odd and had to do with minor settings on resolution full screen vs borederline made a huge difference. too many things happening in the settings and mapping on the controller that made no sense. narrow streets hard to manuver the drifting once you figure it out is hard to control with a xbox one controller ill admit but having to drive normal was a task on its own otherwise the car just slides into stuff oh but you can stop it by going into menu and turning off ESD from off to on......WHY? FSR is on and wont turn off ...WHY you know how bad FSR blur is on this game. just not my cup of tea i guess besiodes i suck at it

Amazing game overall haven't had any issues besides clipping the ground with bodykits etc and just maybe a bit excessive loading screens. Besides that this is one of my favourite games, the sounds shocked me they are honestly better then most multi-million dollar companies in some aspects (pops, flames, spools). I think this game has insane potential and I hope it can get to that point. Also if you love japan these guys absolutely nailed the landscaping. keep it up i'm so glad to see a REAL and determined development team focus on japan.<33 (also split-screen coming is absolutely golden haven't ever seen a pc racer for 2 players so hyped for it)

My biggest problem with this game is what it could've been. If they focused fully on the drifting aspect, made the story actually matter and a little less silly/childish (and not a manga?). With this map and these cars it would've been THE drifting game. Now it's just kind of weird(?) it sort of feels like i'm an adult playing with childrens toys, sure i'm enjoying myself but i would prefer if no one saw me. Still a recommend tho, on sale.

Written 4 days ago

Honestly... It's pretty mid. Story for me is hard to grasp and it's not really my forte. The simcade physics and handling aren't tailored to my liking either and setting to arcade doesn't really fix or change things. The drifting is fine I supposed but I'm more interested in grip driving and I didn't find the grip driving satisfying. The tuning is complicated, even for someone like myself who has a good idea on tuning cars in games. The menus feel clunky and the tuning menu is even worse. Forget trying to tune your gear ratios properly as there isn't enough data to go around for you to tune besides loading in and out of the menu 400 times and testing your car if you want to achieve a good ratio. They need to add a proper graph for tuning ratios desperately. I will say though the graphics are pretty and they definitely nailed the Japanese aesthetic for the map. I also have to commend this game on one more thing and that is adding the EF civic. The Grand Civic. The 4th Gen. No other game has done it really. Besides GT7. Even then it has some oddities to it in this game that are questionable but also some quirks to it that are interesting. I am an enthusiast for that car so I look out for anything I can on it. That's all the game has going for it to be honest. I hope the game gets better, genuinely. it has potential but it focuses on mainstream Japanese car culture to appeal to the masses in my opinion.

I was really looking forward to play this game... Atm unplayable on wheel (Thrustmaster T300) tried many settings or car adjustment but still no go, controller thats what its for now so feel free to buy it, but i bought it so i could simrace it not just "play" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Positives: -great graphics, looks awesome -the enviroment is really great, different from other racing games -eurobeat music, love it -some car customisation is there.. -no crashed or lags as some people stated, but i am not majority (high plus, triple monitor, rtx 3090, around 70fps) -road isnt everywhere straight so you could feel bumps etc more ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Negatives: -loading (when i restart nearly starting line what is going on for like 10 seconds when i am litteraly there) -wheel controls are too messy cant even drift -AI is unbeatable even on low (using wheel) -cars feels underpowered for drifting -few starting missions okay done but the race where you cant get away from your oponent and have to drift is impossible they go slow and you cant play at that speed, if you overtake you loose too so thats it for me now until they further update the game more, its more like torture than fun -driving school is more like challenge school not much to learn -AI traffic cars are nobrainers dont even try to evade you -manga feels too short (story oriented) it just fast intro into race, trying to imitate initial D just changing tofu to sushi and world looks little like from the anime (not saying its bad just the manga feels weird) -drifting to get point you have to even wiggle on straight road (drifting is about flow and style as the game says... not atm) -pick just one mode develepers, drifting or racing, why put them both at same time ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final thoughts: The game needs much more refining, it feels like early acces than a full game. If you just play for fun with controller go on. But if you want to feel the game with race sim thats a no go right now. I'll wait maybe after few updates it will be playable. I would love more options for triple monitor setup like gui adjustment, driver FOV to get more etc. GL developers and continue to listen to community like you do! And fix the game I would really love to enjoy playing it :D I will edit review after some updates

The physics aren't the best since there's you have no choice but to drift every single corner. The AI drivers are either really easy on hard difficulty or completely dust you on a straight. Other than that the game has potential and probably needs time to buff out the scratches it has.

It has it's quirks. It's not perfect. I think it's a much better game than Car X Street. I can play it with an xbox controller or my sim rig. Both are fun and enjoyable. The upgrade system is fair and making money isn't a chore. I do find myself spending it before I can save enough for a new car but I am just a couple hours in. If the dev holds true to their rodemap then this should be an awesome simcade for your collection. I did grab it on sale and feel full price is a little steep for what you get right now but still a solid experience.

The game has potential but also has several outstanding issues that shouldn't have made it to release. Cons: 1) the constant stutters make being consistent or precise nearly impossible, and can cause motion sickness 2) the UI/UX is unintuitive, clunky/unresponsive, and navigating to/from them often involves a lengthy loading screen 3) the only thing that matters for multiplier is drifting time, not chaining drifts together, so driving in a circle is better than a figure 8, for example 4) in a game where you might need to do a drift points battle then grip battle, changing parts or switching vehicles shouldn't require 4 loading screens, or they should be far better optimized to better respect the player's time. 5) physics can be a bit silly, and there's no "give" when doing little tail-taps, etc. it's not intuitively clear what can or won't be broken if you tap it. 6) the side story 350Z (in my opinion) drives horribly and doesn't do anything well that the player is asked to do in the first several missions I've gone through. Pros: 1) intuitive drifting feel on first entry to game 2) visual upgrades are plentiful and unique 3) massive open world map with recognizable locations in Japan 4) fun soundtrack PC info: i9, 4090, 64GB DDR5, M2 SSD

Want to support devs with positive review. It's a good arcade racing game with great physics (better than in CarX Street in my opinion), very enjoybale drift, impressive graphics and music (OST by Free Flow Flava), not bad variaty of cars and tuning parts. Some cons, tho. AI is basically braindead right now. It is slow and bounded to the race line. Grip racing almost doesn't exist in the career mode (probably will be added later). No liveries at all, only paint (definetly will be added later). I've bought this at launch and had a ton of fun. Beat game with all achievments and still playing from time to time, just because the drifting here is very satisfying on controller. Also, devs already did add some new content (racing events from demo), hope for further support.

Unique concept, one of the most fun and rewarding driving games I’ve played. If you’re a fan of Japanese imports this is for you. Or even just a fan of driving it’s a MF home run. I highly recommend playing in manual mode. They even have it down to the finest details of the sounds of these cars. I would have. Paid full price but got it on summer sale. -God Bless

God, this should be a good game. Should be.. Im certain the dev team is hard at work and am very interested in what comes of this game. Right now.. It has quite a few issues however. As games like these do. They have a bug reporting feature on the main menu which should come in handy. The cars available are a great selection and the detail is excellent. the game play is very needforspeedy and could certainly use a bit of polishing but at the heart is fundamentally the proven, tried, and tested formula were all used to with a bit of nuance and a new flavor to appreciate. the unreal engine however, like everyone these days uses.. causes the game to crash often. constant unreal errors abruptly ending gameplay, what a pain in the arse. controller inputs between ps5 or xbox controllers are pretty good, so thats a go to use them. but there are some controller breakingly frustrating, pain in the ass things about some of this game core story/missions that otherwise wouldnt have me recommending this thing to anyone. It luckily has a lot of redeeming qualities, and I Pray they work these things out through input from customers. otherwise, what the hell give it a shot.

I played the demo a while back and it needed a ton of work so I was skeptical that the game would be all that playable yet on my sim setup but I wanted to support what the devs were doing so I bought in and I am actually shocked how far its come since I last played it. On my Moza R9/handbrake and Simagic pedals/shifter everything just works after binding and the FFB feels pretty good out of the box by just setting it to 900 degrees and increasing the FFB in game to 75%. Using simcade mode in manual H shifter and the car behaves exactly as I expect it to for the most part - some cars need setup adjustments to drift without snapping or spinning too easily but I feel like it was easy enough to adjust camber and other things intuitively. The music is fantastic every radio station has some awesome tunes and I love the manga style story so far. Game still needs a bit of polish and eventually multiplayer & VR would be awesome and I hope the devs continue to work on this for years to come the map is great. So far its shaping up to be everything I hoped it would be. HDR has some odd lighting issues like tail lights not really looking like they are emitting light but its not so distracting I turned it off.

I started with the demo and I loved every second of it, however, after getting the released game. I would like to address my likes and dislikes, and to the developers please take notes. When I drove the gold S15, it was a nightmare at first until I've spent 10+ mins restarting the mission, and messing around with the in game settings for driving which I did *not* enjoy doing. This is game is kind of like car x street and NFS Underground 1 and 2 had a baby but set in Japan. Just minus the engine swap and AI voice acting, for the next update, please add more JDM cars like a Toyota Altezza and Subaru WRX STI hwkeye including decals for windshields too! This game has potential! Keep at it. :)
LIKES
: Set in Japan, graphics + scenery is phenomenal, anime/manga inspired art work, NO AI voice acting.
DISLIKES
: Don't like how I was forced with the rusty 86. I also do NOT like how *every* male character is extremely masculine like a JoJo Bizarre Adventure character and female is overly busty in a not-so-subtle way, storyline/career mode is kinda short, cars in the dealership are hella pricey (had to spend more than 5 hours to GRIND for GR WRX STI),settings to drift are kind of a PITA to futz around with, some manga scene are censored in a childish way (as one reviewer pointed out in reviews) *not* like I'm into goon bait content, drifting in the rain is a hassle, the sidebet missions are a scam and impossible to complete (sucks to be the player if you lose your hard earned cash), sometimes the game (or NPC) doesn't inform what you're supposed to do, the GPS sends you wrong directions (there's times the GPS coordinates are off), and lastly (my biggest headache) is that I hate you have to grind every single time to unlock exterior + interior mods for your favorite car each time you buy a car from the dealer!

The ideal drift game. Compared to CarX, braking in the direction of travel is also required, and it reproduces the comfortable Simcade behavior. I'm also surprised that someone from overseas has reproduced the Japanese scenery to this extent. (I laughed at the Gundam statue) Other than that, points I'd like to see improved: The loading takes too long. Also, it's too slow. On an RTX4060 environment, it's about 60fps at full HD and medium quality. Racing games are not all about graphics, so I can enjoy them and there's no problem with playing, but I want to play at 60fps with Steam Deck! (No matter how you adjust it, it's impossible to stick to 60fps with Steam Deck) I'm sorry that the threshold for comparison is high, but Forza Horizon 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0 also achieve close to 60fps performance even with Steam Deck, so I hope they work hard on optimizing it. As a Japanese person, I'm rooting for you. (But maybe there are a bit too many torii gates!)

the game isn't for me, if it was multiplayer then it may have been, but with no multi play, no vr, no sim enough, nah. The game itself is good for people who like the single player, and want to read the story.

This is a good game. It is not perfect, but its going in the right direction. Some of the reviewers are criticising the driving. For me its totally fine, because you have to learn the game, to win. Its not like Forza Horizon. Its more rewarding in my opinion. I just purchased the first car and won the race with it at first try (on medium difficulty). Its really not hard. Use the Arcade Driving Mode and keep the multiplier high. Dont crash and keep calm while drifting. This game has a soul and great style. Looking forward to this.

TL;DR : Great driving experience, Good car customization, Tuning leaves a lot to be desired, Terrible story. Driving : - The car feels really good overall in this game, I could try the temu AE-86 you get at the beginning, the RX-7FC and S2000 and all had their own strenght and weaknesses. - The cameras are also worth mentioning I think, I really like how they managed to change the sounds of the car depending on the position of the camera, it sounds really convincing and nice. They also have a camera setup similar to what you'd see on a 360 spoiler mounted camera and that one is probably the most impressive and cool camera I've seen in a racing game recently, the sound is even a little bit scuffed improving the realism of that setup even further. - The small japanese roads are refreshingly new compared to the game we currently have in the genre, it's a unique experience that comes with it's own difficulties and rewarding moments. - Driving assist are probably too heavy / too strong for my taste, for example with the ESP activated you'll pretty much never get a slide or a wheel spin no matter what you do. It always feels better when the game rewards you for not using those but it doesn't feel like it's the case here. Car customization : - Lots of options in that department when it comes both exterior and interior customization, lots body and widebody kits, lots of wheels, spoiler, mirrors, seats, shifter nobs, roll cages for convertibles, ... - You get a lot of options when it comes to paints and underglow options and they have the stickers / decals system in the oven, we'll have to wait to see how that one turns up Car tuning : - You get the feeling that certain cars are destined to play certain roles, for example I tried to go for a grip RX-7 fc and the game makes you understand that it's not going to happen, at least not in the early game, the car really wants to slide and you're forced to used it to drift. and to the complete opposite the S2000 just doesn't want to drift easily, the car is super stable and really intended for grip races I feel. - For the moment it really feels like "put more expensive parts for better performance" and the fine tuning options doesn't feel impactful at all to the point where you're better off straight up ignoring it completely which is a shame. A lot to be desired in that aspect - You could replace the actual system one that works in stages like "stage 1 for custom exhaust and air filter" and it just change the HP of the car, the car tuning feels that bad tbh Story : (That's for me the biggest let down of this game) - I like the way the story is told though manga panels, that's pretty unique and interesting but that's really the only cool thing about the whole thing - You can't make any decisions in this game, at least not up to that point, it would be way too late if there are some later anyway, the story is already cooked. That's usually fine but for some reason the main character in this is just beyond dumb, it's "let's do illegal races with the company car on my first day of job and get arrested by police" kind of dumb, who'd want to control that dude XD - I don't want to be rude but the writing is just L O W, sooooooooooooo low, "Finding the perfect setup is like caressing a woman." is a sentence that's said in this game 100% seriously ... You also got mission objectives like "impress that women with your driving skills" ... 4 hours into the game, you have to race a girl to get her best friend's phone number ... zzz zzz zzz - The antagonist is also of course terrible, he's evil for the sake of being evil, the writer did so much to make us hate him that it did the opposite. I can't take it seriously, each time you see that dude, he's acting like an angry toddler at the the brim of crying cause he didn't win a race and then of course he goes and hit someone (usually a girl to make the targeted male audience burst in rage I suppose ?) - To sum up the story and the writing, it's obviously written by a macho and the main character is sweating that same energy the way he acts like a dog in heat the moment he saw the "antagonist former gf" (god plz) and tries to pick her up with "Why don't you race? They revoked your license for driving men crazy" (which works btw, gooner type shit) Conclusion : They really need to improve the tuning system to make it more impactful but the potential of that game is HUGE, I highly recommend it if you don't care about controlling a braindead macho or if you plan to skip the entire story (which is not a bad idea now that I think of it). The gameplay, behind the shit curtain that is the story, is worth it

Its a cool game if you like drifting and japan. The latest update has sorted the lagging issues out on my rtx 4060 which now makes the game much more playable.
