this game doesn't respect your time. progression is extremely slow and there's very little explanation for many of the mechanics of the game. when there's many unintuitive design choices in the game (alchemy, zombie work efficiency, even something as simple as FISHING), there should be an explanation. audio mixing is terrible in the game (sfx is as low as possible but rain/waterfall cuts through music at it's highest and distracts me a lot). movement is so slow and the distances between areas is so long that it takes up half a day to get to another location, which is frustrating. i expected there to be horses in the game (considering how it's in the front of the store page) to make the commuting easier, but there isn't which is false advertising and quite disappointing. there should be an explanation as to why the player has to build 3 different facilities to do the SAME thing (distillation cube, alchemy mill, hand mixer, exist to convert raw materials into extracts/powders) when it can be consolidated into 1 station so players can easily access it. also when you study a material it tells you what it can be decomposed into, but doesn't explain WHICH station decomposes it or if the station should be the upgraded version of that station or not, which is frustrating to understand. there's no way to know how to mix the right materials to make the things you want and the logic behind it. to make a health potion i need health powder (makes sense) and combine it with CHAOS SOLUTION (???) where is the logic in that? having to refer to reddit posts or a wiki for basic things like finding materials should not be this difficult, especially when this can be solved in a box of text. zombies are useful, but considering how long it takes to wait for materials to make zombies is really annoying. having to wait 5 in game days to get faith that can build 1 zombie (mid-game state) when there is so many things to balance in the game (mining, woodcutting, farming, winery, TRANSPORTING the materials back and forth) which require 1 zombie each per station (except when they need 1 zombie to transport the materials from the mining/woodcutting, etc). It is extremely slow to get zombies in order to automate the monotonous parts of the game. zombie work efficiency is not explained to the player and making them more efficient is only possible by looking up a guide. a block of text could've fixed this (explaining how to raise efficiency, what materials used to raise efficiency, etc.) fishing makes no sense in this game, which was surprising to me. i have to catch insects (which can only be done by unlocking it on the farming section of the progression tree) to make bait for fish to bite (which is % chance of appearing in certain fishing areas scattered throughout the map). each of the 5 fishing areas have their own fish but there's no logic to it (tilapia is a freshwater fish but can be fished in a SWAMP?). lures are needed to fish certain fish but there's no explanation as to which fish needs it and doesn't justify their exorbitant prices considering how early in the game you need it and how limited in use they are. quest progression is really slow in this game. they throw objectives at the player early on and make them stumble in the dark when there's little to no resources on how to do it. when the requirements are so high to finish quests and so many quests to do, it feels sluggish to progress in the game and is very unapproachable as a starting player. i'm not asking for there to be a way to make a "get rich quick" scheme to make quests go faster, but to tweak the requirements a little lower to make it easier to progress in the game, especially with so much late game DLC to go through. a lot of problems can be solved in this game by looking it up on the wiki, but when i have to click off the game every 30 seconds to find the right materials and how to make them, it starts to frustrate me. i had to look for the right i wish there could be something that keeps track of what i want to build (to-do list and required materials) instead of having to go back and forth to areas and looking at blueprints and then memorizing what i need. there is too many things to keep track of in this game, and memorizing building requirements should not be one of them cluttering my head in what's supposed to be a chill farming simulator.

Recommended but...: >1. Be aware it's one of those games you need a wiki open to your side, because the game does a poor job (deliberately? I don't know) of explaining its mechanics or telling you what you need to do most of the time. >2. You have a list of NPCs and their related quests (fetch quests all of them). But you have to figure out how to find everything they want by yourself, as they are vert vague usually. >3. You have dozens of quests active at the same time, and it get overwhelming even after 50 hours. This is not a farming sim, it's a crafting game, or a resources administration game. You need to enjoy task solving to enjoy this game. There's nothing chill (or cozy, as the cringe community prefer to call it) about Graveyard Keeper. If your favorite part of Stardew Valley was the community center, and you wish there were five community centers scattered around Pelican Town and Calico Desert, you might like this. I like it but it makes me mad.

My biggest complaint is that GK assumes more gametime = better game. GK has taken a fun concept and diluted it into a swimming pool of medium. "Look at all that game!" it says. "Get playing!" it chimes blithely, aiming a gun at your head. # TIME - Weeks are 6 days long. For each day, there is a corresponding NPC that is present at some location for about half of the day. - Days last about 8 minutes. You do not need to sleep (kinda). - Time pauses when you are in a menu/engaged in conversation/etc. - You can skip time by sleeping, but only if you have an energy/health deficit. Otherwise, you can skip time by meditating. Either way, time moves about 10x faster. The astronomer is at the other end of the map, 1 day of the week. We know this ahead of time, so we can get in to position before he's there and wait. If he needs something (which he certainly will, since basically all quests are fetch quests), you'll need to go to your home to get it, which is across the map. If you don't walk immediately there and back, you will miss the window and need to wait a whole week. No big deal, you say - just meditate. Ok. Meditating through a whole day takes 45s. Meditating 5 days is roughly *4 minutes*. This game can't run in the background, and if miss the window you have to wait another 4 minutes, so really all there is to do is wait for 4 minutes. Thrilling gameplay. You would think you could just do other stuff in the game in the meantime, but due to the surprising linearity of the gameplay, you really can't. "You're being dramatic" you cry, "there's a teleporter". And you're right. The teleporter allows you to get to SOME locations around the map instantly*. Unfortunately, this game doesn't want you to have fun too fast: there's a cooldown. I can't think of a practical reason for this: it just feels like the developers thought that everything good must have a price. This sucks in a couple ways: 1. Most of your quests are fetch quests, meaning you have to go see what the person wants, then go home to at least get started on it. Do you remember how I said how time doesn't progress in dialogues? Even though it feels like you've spent time asking about the quest, the teleport stone thinks you've only been there for approximately 1s, and it has a cooldown of about 30s. Measuring this was actually tricky, since when you go to check on the cooldown progress, *time stops because you're in the menu*. So while the cooldown is 30s of 'game world time', it might be a little longer in 'your world time' if you check the menu. You'd THINK you'd be able to keep this item in your hotbar, but no, you can't. The teleport stone costs the thing its saving you: time. This makes for an odd paradox. You want to go home, but it would be a waste of time to walk. However, you can't teleport, because you're waiting for a cooldown. And you can't do anything in the meantime, because most things you need to do are back at home. So you just stand there. For 30s. That you can't even directly monitor. 2. The teleport stone doesn't take you everywhere you need. There's a witch in a swamp that for reasons I cannot determine does not have a teleport location. # UI/UX The UI isn't visually offensive, but using it is grating, and something you have to do a *lot*. Some of it feels like a temporary solution that just sat there so long that the developers became blind to it. Some of it feels like it was tested for functionality only, rather than ergonomics. Honestly, some of it just felt like they were bumping up against the limits of their codebase. I have a document with no fewer than 40 points of UI/UX oddities (because I am insane). None of them are game breaking, but in total they wear on you, making the entire process a bit like moving through sludge. Sometimes the come together to create synergistic, emergent issues which would be quite beautiful if they weren't conspiring for evil. Examples: - The game is obsessed with modal popup windows. It's like if every time you wanted to plant something in Stardew Valley a big window came up that was like "What would you like to plant?". - You can only sell or buy 6 items at a time per transaction. You can buy more, it just requires another transaction. The limit on this is baffling. - You get body pallets that can hold two bodies - let's call them X and Y. X always fills first. If you add another body, Y gets filled. If you take the body from X, the body in Y moves to X. This is *incredibly confusing* if you are trying to, say, look at the body in X and then the body in Y, because to do this properly, you'll want to extract the same position in the modal window twice. It's going to feel like you're taking the same body twice. Also, bodies have very little distinguishing features. It's a mess. - The 'menu' button on the controller will open to the last open menu tab. If I need to access the map, I can get used to quickly opening the menu and pressing a shoulder button a couple times. However, if it always opens to the last open menu, I don't have any kind of muscle memory for that. I need to open the menu, figure out where I am, figure out how I get to the map from there, and then do it. Seems like a little thing, but it honestly sucks. - In alchemy, liquid + powder is not the same thing as powder + liquid - You can see the effects embalming agents have in the tech tree when you unlock them, but not when you're trying to craft/use them. There are many, many others I cut for word count limits # GAMEPLAY At no point in the gameplay did I feel like "ah, finally - now X will be so much easier". Furthermore, completion of the quests never felt like they were rewarded - they felt more like ever-increasing benchmarks. Furthermore, there was nothing to live for *outside* of these quests - no charming dialogue with the villagers, no real decoration to speak of - nothing. It felt like chores. It was often challenging to figure out how to even progress. The game presents itself as having many different questlines, but they're really only one quest line - a linear series of chores given by different NPCs. You might progress in one questline for a certain amount of time to have it all of the sudden abruptly stop for reasons you aren't sure why. It's likely because you need to progress some other character's quest line instead. Another reason is that there isn't any kind of completed quest line, or maybe it's in the DLC. Because there's no reason to need to progress outside of the quests, quests always feel a bit like they're leading you by the nose. You're never *already* doing something. A quest tells you it needs something and you do it, because what else are you going to do? And then there's often the question of HOW are you going to do that thing? You might posit that this is a game about exploration, but this exploration is often expensive and unrewarding (alchemy, for instance). I feel like an in-game wiki would work wonders. I got tired of writing stuff. I just want to play a different game now.

I dont know this game teach player to be great footballer, you know why ? You must dribbling the resource (rock, log etc) cuz you just can carry 1 resource, wanna save time then go dribbling those resource. Physisc that you can push or be pushed by resource make you crazy when you mining, wanna mining with just 1 button ? sorry you got pushed by rss so you must move a little, its over and over again like that. You forget you just build that facility yesterday ? Sorry we can't inform which facility you already had, so now you had 2 sawhorse. Did i tell you, you must move back and forth from "Building table" to build or remove facility so you need that little space for trunk? first go to building table then choose remove facility then walk to that facility to remove it then go back again to building table to choose your thrunk then walk again to that location to build that thrunk. Simple right Whoa what a vast land, must be cool to build many kind of facility. Nope, we give you just these tiny plot and be grateful for it and dont forget road to that facility so you can use it, if got blocked ? relax there is remove facility You wanna build facility in the quarry ? Must remember ALL rss for you after check it in building table at quarry, you dont remmber exact number just bring ALL of those plank or nails etc in your tiny backpack. When you check the control setting , you see all of it use keyboard and you be like "cool just rest my hand at keyboard" not so easy my boy. You MUST use mouse to confirm inventory, build facility, sale stuff etc. So i can just change the control from mouse to keyboard or keyboard to mouse right ? Noooo, you cant even change it to anybutton in your normal mouse or mouse gaming, so you must be glad that you use mouse when to confirm some things The top principle of this game is "Freedom" so you can do any quest anytime you want, but why i must go to this guy first before complete the quest the second guy ? Sory my boy, you can do anytime you want but that guy and the guy that you must meet for his quest and other guy is important too. So multiple quest, fun right We know when we play game time feel passes faster right ? You can feel it most at this game, you go out in the morning for trimming wood when you finish its already dark. Fast right, even your game remind you that time passes faster

Taking care of a graveyard is fun, getting small red, green, and blue dots is fun, learning by spending those dots is fun, and overall it is just a great game. There were a few things I wasn't too fond of like a body always showing up at the worst time, but I played it to completion and liked everything except fishing. I just don't like fishing in games so it is nothing on this game, just the way things work. It is pretty unique that you can do some rather dark things in this game as well like feeding people human flesh and stuff, which is somewhat messed up, but catching all those frogs for meat is far worse as fishing is the worst. Also, late game gets somewhat tedious when you are carving statues and you have an 80% chance of getting a gold and then pull three silvers in a row. Still, if you like a game like Stardew Valley then this is similar. The end goals are really fun to achieve as well. I do hope they make more, but looking at it the developers seem to be done with it. I may try modding next if I can find one that lengthens the story or something as the mechanics are great with very few wants for improvement. I wish I could remember how que things forever for my zombies though, I forgot and it is bothering me if anybody knows how just post a reply. I guess I'll just look it up online sometime, should have done that a while ago, 20 20 hindsight.

This is a fun game and take on the farm simulators. I like the horror aspect of the game. I liked the art, music, and story line. This game is easy to get caught up in and pass the time playing. With that being said, there is a lot going on in this game that can be very overwhelming. Basically you will get task A but to finish task A, you have to complete task D which will complete task B which will complete task F which will complete task A. Once you get the hang of the crafting system and how everything works, it is easy to progress in this game.

I've played 70+ hours on this, but can't actually recommend it. It has a strong hook and is a great concept - Run a medieval morgue! Have a talking donkey drop off corpses! Manage and improve your graveyard! - but the whole game is one giant grind. Any content in this game is just a stepping stone to more grinding, and the character's storylines aren't particularly deep or interesting or worth the grinding. Also, the only two female characters in this game are either a) an blond "performer" whom multiple characters accuse of having loose morals, and b) the innkeeper's wife, whose default conversation response is "My husband is in charge of the place - talk to him". Also, the game poorly explains many of the mechanics, and the only real way to play the game is by having the internet open in a second screen, with 20+ tabs open linked to the game wiki.

Great idea, wonderfully delightful in concept, but the execution leaves a LOT to be desired. Wiki will be your friend here as a lot of things are simply not explained, barely directed to if at all, and most of all are very convoluted. What might seem like something that should be simple, will quickly turn into hours and hours of grinding little experience orbs to spend on 7 different techs just to make a piece of paper with a doodle on it. All that said, the dialog is amusing if not a bit lazy at times, okay most times. Where it seems that the people in the game are simply jokes made into people. At time it just seems the GOAL of the game is to secretly feed everyone human flesh =D Graphically parts of it look very good, and other parts of it, just feel very plain. You don't have as much control over your space as with Stardew, there are weird little paths that break up your farming land and the graveyard that as of yet i have found now way to edit, and that sort of feels crummy. Overall i like the more humor based dialog and world, but it feels less polished and just overall more fiddly then Stardew. I've spent the money, these are my opinions, imma finish the game regardless =D But honestly Stardew is just better overall in the gameflow and polish departments. it's really up to you if this sounds good or not, and i don't really want to recommend or not recommend but i have to pick one... give us a "Meh" option please =D

I want to like this game. But the progression is so unclear Ive spent multiple game days just trying to fibd the place where to craft something and it just gets very frystrating. The menu to see quests doesnt tell you the certain day when someone is available to talk to, you just have to memorize the day (represented as a symbol) and hope you dont forget. It coyld be good but the quests and progression system make is more frustrating than an enjoyable structured game.

A decently fun game for the first hour, if a bit of a slog. Later started lagging uncontrollably, a problem that persisted even after a fresh install. I get the impression that it's not very well supported. I'm just going to go play Stardew again or something.

I'm going to start by saying: this game is an absolute grind. Keep that in mind, because that fact somewhat surprised me. I did not expect the game to feature your character needing to sleep, needing to replenish their "work" energy which depletes like nothing or needing to repair tools all the time. In my mind, those game mechanics are not needed nor do they in any way support the game - they just hinder you as a player to advance faster without these nuisances. Because that is what those are. That being said, there is a story, which I will not go into any further, since it'd spoil just about everything. But seeing it as a rather linear game, the first big negative weighs just more. Now, the world presented is just beautifully crafted and the overall aesthetics are sublime! One can tell immediately the devs spent their love on things like animations, character designs or outlining world mechanics. A lovely craft to say the least. Again, there is the grind that ruins it for me, which is depressing. Most ressources you'll be able to just gather, buy, scavenge or simply forage. But there are some rather "rare" ones in the beginning, which you should hold back as much as possible - but you will run out and you will need to spend money on those ressources. Which would not be bad, if you did not see that coming a stretch away. But you can't prevent it from happening, which sucks in my view. What about the graveyard setting then? I'm going to say, that it could also have been a pig's farm you had to run. Which unfortunately means, the graveyard as an entity is replacable in theory. Just because the game spins its mechanics mainly around tedious tasks like growing trees, planting crops or fishing to feed the grind. I HATE fishing in games - did so in Stardew Valley, do so now. But it is thrown in your face, though I have avoided to go on with it up until now. At this point I am not sure if it will become a mandatory thing to pick up on later on. On another positive note, this game does have depth. More than expected to be honest. But it is overshadowed by shallow grind mechanics that make no sense. The sole purpose of those is to increase play time, nothing else. Almost forgot: there is also fighting, which happened four times for me as of now - I also don't know why it is there, but it does not disturb the gameplay too much. It is tolerable. There you have it. A graveyard-themed game that could have easily gotten away with any other management setting, since it is not the core element of the game in my personal point of view. I know others see that quite differently. I bought it on sale for around 3,50 EUR and I can only recommend you not spending more on it. Lastly, I would have loved to give a "sideways thumb" [CHANGED IN EDIT, SEE BELOW] as a rating. [EDIT: ADDENDUM] I sunk in roughly five more hours, so double the time as it has been with the above rating. And my opinion of the game only got worse. There is not only so much micromanagement one has to endure, running distances multiple times just to catch the exact moment characters are one place, but events are also going down at another place, so you might be distracted and miss it completely. This leads to vast waiting times for recurring events to happen again. You will miss out on gameplay progression because of that, which means the game does not value your time. It is outright frustrating to go on. You are not shown any helpful information as to what you need when finally catching a character you need in-game - and since money is of very short supply, you are going to be careful as to how many items you will shop. This leads to wrong amounts being acquired, which in turn will again block the player from advancing. Quest items won't be - say - highlighted, which means that you might get the wrong quality item, again, wasting money. You will also forget recipes, since building mechanics suck due to them only being presented to you at certain spots in the game, and also only the subjectively fitting constructables are shown to the player. This means collecting the right ressources from your many trunks spread around your main dwelling area. The gamepay loop is ludicrous to a point where it forces me to uninstall this dreck. This means a resounding THUMBS DOWN, since the players time is not valued in any way!

After you learn what you are doing the game is really fun and full of stuff to get done. Only downside is quest lines that require people on different days takes a while and the one day people puts a lot of breaks on it. Lots of fetch quests too, like its half the game I feel like. But if you enjoy fetch quests and have patience to learn the way things work I highly recommend

I really wish the game did a bit more hand-holding. I am sure the game is complex in a good way, but the lack of any system to ladder the player through its many systems really holds it back as it is very difficult to get invested in. You often have no clue what to do next or who to go to for any progression

The game repeats itself at many points, even at the very beginning. You don't know what to do, you don't know which of the many tasks you need to do in which order. It's not nice that it's so challenging and boring at the beginning. Even though I tried to force myself to continue, unfortunately it wasn't possible.

I'd recommend this game because it has more ups than downs. I'm not that fond of how little the game is involved in any direction because it does get a tad bit overwhelming, but I can imagine the freedom to do what you want to do at any time with little consequence is desirable for some. Just not for me. There were certainly times when I'd just pause and think, "...so what now?" while waiting for certain days to come just so I can progress. Aside from these, the game is beautiful and has a lot to give that you can explore at your own pace. The story is fun and unique too, and I hope it gets better as I go along.

TLDR; If you enjoy games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, this is your kind of game. But beware, the story and progression take a bit to get used to. Would recommend you only get this game when it is on sale. Since there were a lot of things I either liked or disliked about the game, I'm going to break them up into different sections. I apologize if I compare it to other games like Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley a lot, but when you have a game that specializes in a farming life, I'm afraid those are the competitors. OVERALL; 5.5/10 STORY; 5/10 I'm a little disappointed in the overall story of the game. It feels lackluster; you know your goal, your motivations, and what you're willing to get there. Your main character doesn't show much interest in other peoples lives unless it concerns how he can use it to his advantage. I mean, I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing, but you aren't given any choice in how the characters interact. In order to get the fullest picture of the story, you'll have to invest in the DLC. However, despite its flaws, the most charming thing about the story is the twisted dark humor. The uncanny pauses in moments where something rather awkward happened, or how they give you the impression they notice the look on your characters face, or even the whole gag with the Donkey literally... plopping... in the middle of the road because he hates capitalism? Yeah, I won't lie and say there weren't moments that earned a chuckle out of me. GAMEPLAY; 6/10 It's a bit hard to understand what you have to do when you initially start. It is /highly/ recommended you either have a wiki page open on the side, or you watch a couple of videos. The game doesn't exactly do a great job in informing you what you should do, how you should retrieve things, or any kind of progression. Unfortunately, the pacing is incredibly slow and it'll take half a day to get to the town and find the person you need to talk to, do quests for, or whatever. There are a lot of fetch quests, and a lot of waiting around for the right time of the week to even interact with said character. You gain no mount or faster mode of transportation despite what the front page art will imply. Mechanically wise, it's a bit messy. You follow a tree of recipes you can earn after earning enough green, blue, or red points. While it is a cool concept, it's nothing like Stardew Valley where you learn the recipe, what station will help you get said item, and what it could make. There is automation, but it's not recommended until you've built up your church for faith as it's vital to creating the "perfect" zombie to help you do your chores. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? Hmm... I guess I would say yes, but certainly NOT AT FULL PRICE. Get this game on sale and its DLC (especially if you're one of those 100%ers). I did have fun with the game even though there were moments I was getting cranky because I'd have to tab out of the game, go to the wiki to find out who did what, how to get items - stuff the game should really either tell you, or at LEAST give you a hint of where to go.

I like the "Techtree Valley" vibe but it gets really clunky having to figure out -and remember- crafting recipes. Travel can be annoying, and having NPCs or events locked to certain "days" of the week takes away some of the agency in exploration. Don't be mislead by the game art, you don't get a mount. This game definitely came from the era of "wiki required". I wouldn't mind a sequel or remake, because the game setting is interesting and kept me motivated initially.

TL;DR - A unique take on a farming simulator that does a lot of things right. I'd recommend this to any farming sim fans who aren't afraid of complexity. The world this game immerses you in is full of interesting characters, gorgeous pixel art and a pretty decent OST to boot. The gameplay itself is very addicting once you get the hang of it, I especially like the very involved crafting and processing of resources into a final product. I think my only problem with the game is that there's a lot of what I feel is unnecessary complexity that the game does a very poor job of explaining, I can imagine this being especially frustrating for more casual gamers, but even I sometimes found myself dumbfounded. At the very start of the game the player is bombarded with so much information so quickly it can be a little hard to process. You can often inadvertently "soft lock" yourself. The game gives you rewards for certain quests and then doesn't tell you that you need them for a very specific thing to not halt your progress. When you do anything else with those resources, well good luck since you probably haven't really unlocked all that you need to get them again, so you either gotta make enough money and buy them from someone, or spend a lot of time unlocking the technology so you get them. There's also a lot of things that make me constantly question, why can't I do this? I can build a trunk for storage pretty much anywhere but not in the church basement and morgue, why? I can sell most crops to the farmer but suddenly the higher level crops I can't, why? It's moments like these where I just assume things will work and they don't that really pull me out of the experience, and have me searching the wiki wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Also if you like to play farm games for customization then skip this, as the amount of decorative choices you make is an absolute minimum. Sure there's "decorative" stuff, but not really, as what little is there is not really a choice but usually a better progression of what you already have. Even if you play this game on multiple saves and try your best to make different choices, your graveyard by the end will end up looking pretty much the same. I also don't recommend the DLCs unless you're a diehard fan, and even then buy them on sale. They don't add a whole lot of content and from what I've read from other reviews they are very buggy.

The little sub quests are very enjoyable and the fishing mechanics are satisfying.

This game is delightful! Intriguing story, plenty to keep you interested, and complex enough to keep you truly invested. It's macabre without being depressing, great for halloween or any time you need a bit of dark humor. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes stardew valley but wishes you could befriend (rule over?) the skeletons in the mines!

This game is sooooooooooo funny. Conducted a soft dark ritual, summoned a chicken, didn't get the chicken for eggs, instead, I had to wait every week for five eggs so I can cook some good food for my tavern. I tried the real dark ritual. I worked hard for it. I expected a real chicken in my graveyard. Turned out I summoned my dear best friend and I made a family reunion. I didn't get the chicken but it was totally worth it.

Cute game, the controls are a little clunky but is a fun time for sure.

A surprisingly fun *kinda farming* game. The plot is rich, you have a lot of quest, a lot to do. The theme is a bit dark but the game is not unsettling at all. Stardew Valley and other farming game lovers but tired of the same kind of plot, I highly recommend this game!

Chill game that lets you do things as you like. Love the crafting system and art style. The only thing I wish it had was expanded item descriptions (specifically related to alchemy) and shops. (It was frustrating trying to figure out that I couldn't sell gold-star wine to the barkeep, but the merchant would buy it.) And some items you can't seem to sell at all? (Or require DLC.)

I love games with one core gameplay loop that can expanded upon itself and then other gameplay loops that support the main gameplay loop, this formula will always get me to buy these games and this game is one of them

Playing this game will ruin your life. You're gonna lose track of time, and it'll be two days later. 10/10, love this game so much. All I want now is to name my zombies and give them little hats, please.

I would recommend this game because it is silly and although it does require a lot of work, you do start to get the hang of it and it is very fun! -Mr.BigBalls

Pros: Morbid Stardew Valley. Kind of. So if you dig (hehe) Stardew you'll be ok with this as well imo. Really addicting. There is always stuff to do. Loving the art style. Despite being pixel art, it manages to be unique and stand out. Cons: Some quests get annoying (waiting a whole week just to be told by the NPC that you miss an item they want) Travelling back and forth is incredibly tiring. I was totally expecting a small mount for the late-game (now that I'm looking at it, even the Steam thumbnail suggests it, what happened?) For achievement hunters and this is a BIG ONE for them: Easy to miss achievements + DLC locked achievements? Hell nah.. After a while I had to turn off the music, I think they either needed more songs or make the few they had way better. Overall, if you are not a sweaty gamer I think it's really fun and worth to pick up. Can get a bit grindy but I don't think it's that bad. Should I score like a snob? I will. Sue me :D If 100 is for the greatest games ever, I give this 76/100.

I really like this game. I think it is really fun to play. However I found it lacks replayability. I have tried to play it again several times and never got back into it. My only other complaint is that the late game can be a bit grindy.

There is so much more to do with the base game than I anticipated and I am loving it. I loved it so much that I bought 2 DLCs. Fantastic!

Its a game where you have minimal downtime, I wouldn't say its that relaxing as the early game is time pressured as you have to complete certain activities before the next NPC time segment. The major flaw is the requirement for addons, the core game has some major QOL issues (tiny inventory just becomes a pain and takes away the fun), Walking around takes ages and seems like a time waste as the cool down on the teleporter should be much lower, The quests arent hugely imaginative as its cores its pickup quest - gather required item - hand in item to npc and repeat. The zombies are brilliant and add a nice relief as they take over the farming/gathering of ores/stone/marble/wood. The grave digging and fixed bodies before burying becomes REALLLY repetitive by late game and once youve unlocked the cathedral its pretty much pointless to continue burying them (just burn or turn to zombies).

First of all, it must be said that the game is very addictive. I spent the first 15 hours playing without even noticing time passing. The main idea of the game (at the point I’ve reached) is the following: 1.get a mission from an NPC 2.often, you won’t even remotely have the items needed to complete it quickly, so you’ll have to check which technologies need to be unlocked, which resources to gather, etc. 3.a long farming phase to gather everything needed to complete the mission, which often requires completing other previous missions, even if that’s not explicitly stated 4. the satisfaction of completing the mission 5. repeat The cycle is therefore quite short, but the time required to complete it is long — which can be either a strength or a weakness, depending on your perspective. Besides the feeling of completing a long mission – which, as you know, is very satisfying – you’ll see that the rewards are quite nice: items, new skills, new crafting options, a step forward in the story, and so on. Another highlight is the game mechanics, which are very rich and varied, offering even more motivation to keep playing and discover what’s in store. However, I must say that in my opinion, the game’s weak point is the very short day-night cycles, combined with very little base energy available during the day. This forces you to craft food – which is expensive in terms of resources – just to gain a bit more playtime before having to sleep. Personally, I find it frustrating not to be able to craft more than 10 wooden planks at once without needing food or rest. On the other hand, this also increases immersion and gives a real incentive to unlock more efficient and “energy-rich” recipes. In conclusion, the game is really beautiful and a joy to play. It takes time to enjoy it fully, and you need to be willing to farm for the first 10–12 hours before unlocking some help. But if you enjoy this kind of game, this one is among the best.

Do you wanna chop up bodies? Place graves in a pretty way? Start beef with the Locals? This is the game for you! I am enjoying befriending the villagers and a sassy little skull who forgets everything, including the fact i can drop kick him a cross the river! 9/10 creepy and cozy

Beautiful game, great music, rich world, and dry humor. A great time for anyone who enjoys Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, or Rune Factory.
