Truly one of the greatest games of all time, comparable with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. This deserves your full attention and time to properly experience this masterpiece.

This Is just Peak I have never played a Persona game before tried it but they feel like its figure it on your own and its really really hard to figure it P5R makes the game more complex but still the tutorial tells about it perfectly and its fun to play for a long time

Wonderful JRPG! The game hits all the right notes from the game loop, to the systems to the music (ost) to the UI, everything has style, charm and fun. The game stands out above every other game with its own unique art style, music and theme. If I had to nitpick, the game doesn't has a fixed Camera Angle, similar to older devil may cry games or Resident Evil games... and the world isn't really open, its very much instance based. But everything else is top notch.

Greatest jrpg game of all time. The characters, the story, the gameplay was all amazing. Combat was really interesting. The social mechanics were super fun. Even though I was just doing things I do in life normally, stuff like attending school and that, the game was able to make it super fun.

Unmatchable experience. Amazing story. Amazing characters. Amazing gameplay. Amazing voice cast. Very stylish and very memorable game, one that is TRULY impacting those who fully finish it. I strongly recommend playing this game, even if you don't like JRPG's, despite this game taking almost 100+ hours to finish it, those 100+ hours are WORTH. EVERY. SECOND
P.S This is what a life-changing game looks like... yeah, i'm talking about you clair obscure: unreviewable 33. For the past several months all I've been hearing of how amazing Clair Obscure is, so I've "illegaly obtained" a copy of it, finished it, and without a doubt I'll say that Clair Obscure is nothing but a total dumpster, despite taking strong sides from games like Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy and ESPECIALLY Persona it still feels like I'm playing an unfinished 1 of the above mentioned games or some sort of "wannabe" Persona-like game. This review is not about Clair Obscure though, but I can't point this game out, since everyone is talking about it's success, a GOTY of 2025 and all that stuff. After being absolutely dissappointed how Clair Obscure brought absolutely nothing but combined successful formula in a combo powered by the almighty Unreal Engine 5, I geniunely started thinking... Is it really what it takes nowadays to be praised? Releasing a mid game? I'm honestly very dissappointed in how things are working out with gaming industry, I know, you guys are probably are too, but unfortunately I can't close my eyes on it. After finishing Persona 5 I fully realised what a good game is, a good game is that does not treat you like a stranger, not explaining how things work around here, damn, even after a YEAR break and coming back to Persona I'm still being warmly greeted by how well this game treats your time and your nerves. This game doesn't force you into anything, it only pushes you to learn everything this game has to offer, no "ONLY FOR HARDCORE GAMERS" or "GAME CRAFTED BY TRUE GAMERS" labels, just an amazing game, that is well made and plays like a good cartoon/anime. (although im not into anime i still enjoyed every second spent in this game)
Feel free to drop your comment of disagreement , "Jester" or "Hot Take" reward, I appreciate it.

One of the greatest games of all time and that's not an exaggeration based on recency bias nor rose-colored glasses. I played P5 when it first came out in 2017 and have played it at least 5 times since then across multiple platforms and it gets better with each run. The story will last you between 80-120 hours so it takes a STRONG game to make the time investment worth it, but that's what this game is. Wonderful characters and relationships, incredible storyline and writing, ingenious dungeon design and just a sense of heart and justice that prevails throughout the game all make this an unforgettable experience. In a day and age when developers cut corners and cheap out, this game went all-in to deliver an amazing product for consumers of all types to enjoy. Get this game and you won't regret it.

Another masterpiece of a game easily. It's strange because when you start it you probably have mixed feelings about the long tutorial or the (imo) less overall serious tone of the game and perhaps you have misgivings about some of the confidants writing. But then you start getting into real meat of the social links, the story starts coming together and the game lets you do everything and combat really pops off. Then the vocal parts of Beneath The Mask start to play and you think - Yeah this game is incredible. There's something about this game when it all comes together to make something wholly unique and with a vibe like no other. Buy this you will not regret it for a single second.

Arguably the best modern Persona game. Although I loved playing 3, 4, and any other spin-off persona game none of them came close to the enjoyment I got out of playing this game. Not only is this the most re-playable Persona game with the thousands of things you can do, but the story is simple yet complex enough to feel refreshing each time you play through it. You may know what's going to happen next and the dialogue options may never change the course of the story but at the end of the day it's still feels like you can play this game differently every time. Now, before any Persona fans hold a knife to my throat for claiming 5 to be the best, I will admit that I am a bit biased to this game. I played this game during a rough time in my life and felt like an outcast to my own family, so when I sat alone browsing my Steam Library and noticed this unplayed game, I would never had expecting to find a story about a group of misfits coming together to right the wrongs they've experienced and struggle to have their voices heard. A tale that at the time hit a little too close to home. So this game will always hold a special place in my heart for helping me pull through. So if you're in a similar situation to what I was before and are looking for an outlet, or you just want a fun game to play. Don't sleep on Persona 5 Royal.

Peaksona and it's not even close. There is literally so much stuff to do in this game it's crazy. It felt like after every palace there was another major gameplay mechanic unlocked, kept the game feeling fresh. Wish I could play it blind all over again.

One of the best game in the whole Persona series. The dungeon crawling is way better, not as time-consuming as the older games and there’s EXP share, so you don’t have to grind every character. That gives you more time to enjoy the story and level up Confidants. The story has a bit of everything: funny moments, emotional scenes, and even deep life lessons — especially in the third semester. Even the side characters are interesting enough that you’ll want to max their Confidants just to see how their lives turn out for the better, not just for the sake of unlocking persona. The villains are great too. Their schemes actually make you want to stop them, not just because you have to or because they intend to harm you and your friends — but because it feels right. Tokyo looks amazing, and there’s a ton to do. Honestly, the one-year time limit makes it tough to do everything — max Confidants, max social stats, explore Mementos, and still have fun in the city. But that’s what makes replaying fun too. Combat feels faster and smoother with new mechanics, and the Persona designs and Palaces are awesome. New Personas and added story content are a big plus. Finishing the game can feel bittersweet, as you leave and cherish this wonderful world and its memorable characters. Easily a 10/10 for what I paid. A must-play turnbased dungeon crawling and great story jrpg.

Props to this game for getting me into jazz years ago before I even actually played this game. Just finished my music degree a week before finishing this game, you could basically say this game (specifically its soundtrack) had a big role in my career choices! Amazing game, final hours of Royal were kind of frustrating, but I feel very happy now after getting through that. Most satisfying turn-based combat and most fun story I've experienced in a while. hell yeah persona!!! P3R next

Let me be honest with you: I am utterly, completely, passionately obsessed with pancakes. I'm not just talking about liking them. I'm talking about daydreaming-about-maple-syrup kind of obsessed. I’ve eaten pancakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’ve tried 27 different syrup flavors. I own a spatula with a smiling pancake printed on it. There is just something transcendent about pancakes. The golden brown edges, the fluffy centers, the warm steam rising as you cut into them... tell me that isn’t the breakfast of the gods! You can top them with blueberries, bananas, whipped cream, or peanut butter (trust me it works). Or, go savory with bacon, cheese, and a little hot sauce. Pancakes are basically the blank canvas of the culinary world. If you can dream it, a pancake can become it. Every Sunday, I host a “Pancake Ritual.” It involves a sacred mixing bowl, a playlist of pancake-themed songs, and the skinning of no fewer than 12 Tunisian refugees. I sometimes cry a little when the first one turns out perfect. It’s beautiful.

Persona 5 Royal A really good JRPG with a charming cast, fun and unique combat, an amazing soundtrack and a story that keeps building itself. It's really a game that has something to say, and even with my issues with it at times, it says it quite well too. It really felt great to grow my power by forming bonds with my characters. Also I went through the full game using the featherman costumes and it was glorious 10/10

Weird game to review Characters: vary wildly in quality Plot: mostly slightly-below average if that makes sense. not bad, just ehh Art: Ok, the artstyle and visuals are fire. 3d cutscenes are a little dated, but it is an older game. Gameplay: I had to make my first playthrough a specific challenge run for the combat to not fold like a deckchair. I had fun, but I dunno about game balance. Level design: Once again, varies wildly. Mementos (the proc-gen region) is pretty uninspired. But some palaces like the 3rd one are excellent. Royal content: Shoehorned in, but likeable. The plot is whatever, but the characters are fun enough

My first Persona game—and I’m hooked. The confidant system and persona mechanics are surprisingly deep but super engaging. Between dungeon crawling, wild plot twists, and hanging out with quirky characters to build social stats, it feels like reliving high school… if high school also had psychic battles and talking cats. Stylish, weird, heartfelt—and honestly, unforgettable. 10/10 would steal hearts again.

One of the best games I've ever played, the battle system is the best in the series, the music is phenomenal, and the visuals hold up to the newer ATLUS games, like P3R and Metaphor, despite it being almost 6 years old. P5R takes what P5 did well and improved on it with QoL improvements and extra 3rd semester content.

This game doesn't shy away from human aspect of failure. It explores the worst in human beings and, through fictional means, tells a story on how to move forward despite the hardships and tribulations a person may face. I have a ton of appreciation in works like these where there are characters who operate on a morally grey line. It's hard to judge if this character is doing the right or wrong thing, as it is entirely up to the audience's interpretation, and it's always nice going on forums to read what other people think is right and/or wrong. Near the end, this game was very thought provoking and I like that shi. Go play it.

This was technically my second Persona game, but it's the first one I liked. The "social sim" with "turn-based RPG" blend was interesting! The beginning of the game is heavily "on-rails" with constant cutscenes to set up the story, but the game does eventually ease its grip and lets you explore the world a little more. The story is interesting and the characters are well-developed. The music is fantastic. Combat is interesting too, with the elemental typing. There are the occasional horrible anime-stereotype moments you have to deal with, for Ann's story, and other stereotypes for Ryuji's story, so you do have to overlook those. They are at least short moments rather than constant things.
