Small Spaces

i opened this game when i first got it to test it out, then blacked out for 4 hours. in that time i made 3 appartments. 9/10

Recommended but know that it's still in early access, so expect lots of missing features. Currently, the furniture is quite limited; the controls and camera are wonky, and there are bits of bugs found (plant's shadow, pillow placement, etc.). To earn stars and unlock all modules, furniture, and paints (?), I "completed" each stage by placing the required items only and then saving it lol nice way to go back and decorate the places with everything unlocked. I think I'm going to wait for the game to develop more because it has so much potential.

It's been only a few days, but already I've put 25 hours into this adorable little game. It's very chill and the lighting & ambient sounds are very relaxing. The game is mostly focused around decorating the apartments, but there is a few building features at this time that allow you to make some really interesting adjustments to the spaces. The game does have limited options at first, but as you complete levels and gain stars you will be able to purchase new elements in the shop. As a chronic sims 4 builder, this is a treasure for me. The current roadmap looks awesome, and I am greatly looking forward to the future of this game!

Small Spaces is a cute little game about decorating tiny rooms without managing money or worrying about time schedules. It's still in Early Access so there are limited items but it's still nice to create new rooms and chill. If you liked House Flipper or only played Sims for decorating rooms this game is definitely something for you. I'm curious to see more updates!

Cannot play the game due to the main menu UI. The game looks amazing, I can't wait for future updates to fix the awful main menu UI. Will change my rating once fixed.

I didn't recommend this game right now, I know the game is still in early access I would personally say wait until this game is fully done to get it. I bought it, played 18 minutes of it before the options got repetitive and ended up requesting a refund. I know that for me the graphics seemed very grainy even on a high quality, right now there are not a lot of options when it comes to decorating, there are only a few styles in the shop that you can choose. I can see that the game has a lot of potential with being similar to house flipper, its a game where one can let their creativity out. I think it could be a great game in its later stages,

suuuper cozy, i do have a few lags here and there, probably becasue my PC is just ancient at this point, tho i do meet the minimum requirements. but it doesn't affect me a lot. would love more stuff in the future :) tho there are a few things i saw in other reviews that were bugging me too, i'll just quute because i'm lazy : - Can't place pillows on certain sofas without them glitching into the sofas - Can't place flowers on top of certain dressers without them glitching in them - Placing products close to a wall snaps them into the wall which is annoying when I don't want them to touch the wall (dunno if there is some key to prevent that from happening? If not, holding shift or some other key while placing item should give free placement feature without snapping problems) - I can't always tell what I'm buying from only a small picture on catalog, so I'd love a feature where I could hover mouse over products on catalog and it would tell their name - I'd love to have ceiling lamps in game too! other than that, i really love that game so fa r

Small Spaces is like crack cocaine for chronic procrastinators. As a grad student, I have to make sure I don't have any assignments due before I play this game, because I'll open it for a "quick break" and accidentally spend 5 hours making my dream kitchen. The price is excellent for the amount of content already available, and the regular updates make me excited for what gets added in the future. The creator is also very receptive to feedback in the Discord. I highly recommend for anyone with even a passing interest

I've played a few minutes of this game and i LOVED it. It's basically The Sims for people who just like to put the funiture and decoration (just like me).

I've been having fun a lot with the game so far. But I think I have a little issue about placing things on the upper floor/deck, because when I tried to put beds on the upper floor, the bed tends to sink under the floor platform. Idk if it's the problem from my PC or the game, but if it's the issue from the game, I'll be very happy to wait for the fix on the next update! Edit: I just tried to run the safe mode and it works. Beds no longer sinking on the second floor lol. But I still think it'll be nice if the default also works like that <3

The game is lots of fun. Can't wait to see more updates, patches, and new items!

Brilliant and pretty game which runs wonderfully. 100% would recommend for people who like this sort of thing. My only criticisms are that I wish there was some more variety in interior design styles, there were a wider variety of colour options for certain things, and that some things don't look like their pictures e.g. the beds. But these are very minor problems, which may be updated anyways, and I would still very highly recommend this game :)

Despite being in early stages, the game still has enough content to go for hours. Building out and decorating spaces feels seamless and enjoyable, avoiding many of the friction points in more goal-driven games in the genre.

Fun and relaxing. I worry that it might become repetitive if I play it too long, since I'm still at the beginning and every kitchen and bathroom has to be put together from the same fairly small assortment of tub/toilet/stove/sink, etc. But as you play through rounds, you get stars that you can use to shop for more items, so hopefully there's going to be more variety as I progress. There's certainly plenty of variety on the smaller things (decorative objects like supplies for art or music). And you can build platforms and add stairs and whatnot, which is a really nice touch and allows you to create unique looks within the spaces. In any case, it's a nice little game and well worth the money.

Interior design is all about rendering realistic textures to truly make designs satisfying. This game has it all -- the realism, the perfect range of furniture/wallpapers/fixtures that gives you just enough to work with but not too much so you can still exercise your creative muscles to challenge yourself. It was really fun meeting the clients' expectations to level up. I am addicted to this game and I can't wait for it to come out with more content after early access!

If you're looking for a relaxing and rewarding design experience, look no further than Small Spaces. This game is super fun and definitely worth the price! Currently, the game comes with a good selection of furniture, modules, and texture materials in the shop. After completing all of the current maps available you gain enough stars to unlock every item in the shop to go back in and play a second play through with more intricate designs - which I intend on doing. The building mechanisms are smooth and straightforward. While I noticed some clipping bugs with a few kitchen furniture items and LOD pops in glass materials depending on the lighting, these were very minor visual bugs that never impacted gameplay. I ran into zero game-breaking bugs, and the current state of the game is very stable with beautiful graphics. I can't wait for what's to come in the future for Small Spaces; it definitely fulfills my interior design itch when I want to just chill and design virtual spaces. In the future, I hope there is an option to access the shop from within a build, visual grid for space layouts, and more utility options for the kitchen and bathrooms. Overall, Small Spaces truly shines as a casual and enjoyable escape, offering endless possibilities for creative expression when you simply wish to unwind and design.

So beautiful and fun! Since it's currently in early access you will run out of "new" stuff pretty quickly, but I'm not going to hold that against the game at this point. The biggest thing it's missing is a more robust decor database with more varied aesthetics, but based on the roadmap it looks like that's coming down the pipeline. What we have now is already gorgeous, so I have high hopes that the updates will deliver. Still, even with the "bare bones" game, it's a ton of fun to go back to apartments I've already completed and re-do them in a new style or with a different layout. I can tell this is going to be a major favourite of mine! If you're on the fence, I recommend checking out the dev's roadmap for future updates and see if those intrigue you.

I see the vision - and I am very impressed so far! I can't wait to see what is in store for this game in the future, it is a lot of fun in a relaxing way and I really enjoy it! There are so many different things you can do in this game already, I can't wait to see the new themes and the sandbox mode!

I absolutely love Small Space! It’s such a cozy and relaxing game, perfect for winding down and getting creative. The design options are super charming, and I appreciate how many different styles and directions you can go with when decorating. It really lets you express your personality. That said, I do wish there was even more to do. It would be amazing to have an outdoor area to decorate, and fireplaces or other seasonal items would take the game to the next level. Still, it’s a lovely little escape that keeps me coming back. Just hoping for more updates in the future!

Fantastic!! This was one of the most cosy games I've ever played and its still only in early access! I'm very excited for the full release. It was fun and comforting and it had every tool available for creating the perfect rooms, such as rotation, horizontal/vertical flipping, copy/paste, and sizing! Honestly i'm blown away, i wish i knew how to write professional reviews because this game deserves one! But i can only write about my joy. i love this game and i recommend it to anyone who likes simple time passing with lots of creativity. Thank you for this game!

super fun and cozy game where all you have to do is literally decorate to your heart's content. it's still in early access, so there will be a whole lot more content coming out in the next year, but right now, i'm enjoying it so much!! maybe in the future they can optimize the game a bit more-- my pc has better specs than the recommended and it still struggles at times (even if i go to the lowest setting), so hopefully that could be improved so more people can enjoy this game!

It's fun, but the content is still very limited, and I wish they had done a little more research for the floorplans. No Japanese apartment, no matter how small, lacks a genkan.

I loved the demo. It had a couple bugs, but it did not deter me from the early release. I have been playing it non stop! I have had so much fun with this game, and cannot wait for all that is to come. I have read that quite a bit is coming. I am excited for more decor. There is not a huge selection of things I can use as decoration. Overall, I recommend this game if you like design games. It is worth buying 100%.

[EARLY ACCESS REVIEW] Fun, creative - and very zen! This game is really fun, and very cathartic. The road map ahead looks promising, and even for a small amount of items, it's still a nice start. Limited colors, pictures, and other things is absolutely a tiny downside - but it's still a lot of fun, and reminds me of those old Polly-Pocket-esque pixel games from the 90's....but with way better graphics and more options. The controls and camera take some time to get used to - but you get there, and once you do - it's smooth as butter. Minor clipping issues (if that bugs you - it doesn't bug me at all, just noting it), and sizing issues (like pillows) -- but not really much of a problem. It's absolutely worth the money its asking for, and then some. 7/10!

The game has a really nice feel, and the visuals, especially lighting, make the placement and final results really satisfying. The existing themes and layouts are nice, the challenges are interestingly described. Interactions with environment and placing the furniture is mechanically nice and smooth. Would be nice, if the camera controls were a bit nicer, otherwise really nice!

Got me so hooked on the first day of playing it. Always been a sucker for games like this and Small Spaces make designing easier and less complicated. Definitely a relaxing game. 8.5/10 would recommend!

I love any game like this from the Sims to House Flipper to Camper Van. BUT, the styles, swatches, options and game play of this are brilliant. It's such a calm, cosy game - love the background music. I could easily play this for hours on end, which I have! I enjoy that if you meet the brief you get stars to then use in the shop to unlock other swatches, styles and furniture pieces. I can't wait to see what comes in the next updates as I think it can be jam packed with objects! Highly recommend for a Sunday gaming session with a cup of tea!

I've enjoyed playing this game so far. I do like that there is some flexibility with collision, but I do wish you could toggle it off altogether. I was struggling in a few situations where I was trying to combine two counter pieces and the game would only let me sink the second one into the first to the halfway mark. I do wish that we could chose were we grabbed the items. It seems we always grab from the center. Other than those small things, I really enjoy the game and look forward to it progressing in development! <3

Nice game, fun and realistic visuals. Has great features and simple to use. I'd like to be able to Zoom +/- when holding an object though. And if the DEVS would be kind enough to add a feature (toggle on/off) that allows you to see a line to be able to line objects like lights on the wall or pictures up, I'd be so happy and grateful. I will say that some of the "life-stories" are repetitive when you read them. Not a bad thing to be honest, but some razzle-dazzle to their personalities would go a long way.

This is such a relaxing game. The areas are beautiful and lots of choices for decorating.

Super cozy and a great creative outlet! The prompts are just enough to give you inspiration without being overly prescriptive, so you never have to worry about staying "in bounds" (something that bugs me about other games). The rotation controls are a little clunky and it would be nice to see them add more hotkeys for different camera movements (including rotations/tilts) in the future, but all in all I recommend!

One of the prettiest interior design games i've played so far. Amazing atmosphere, stunning textures and overall a super cozy feeling. Really looking forward to future content for the game!

Not much to say. I may play occasionally, checking in to see how it develops. So far it doesn't feel like a game... it's not compelling, exciting or relaxing. Really kinda quarter-baked... so yeah, the visual detail is a hint of something nice happening... but then it doesn't. Compelling? Too few items. Storyline is flat. Is there a point/purpose? Exciting? Tick the boxes to unlock more of same. Ikea anyone? No thanks. Relaxing? I don't enjoy the method of unlocking more items... too slow... it needs a sandbox option, everything unlocked ready to tinker with.

I know it's early access but it's not possible to move the camera or to place items. So unfortunately it's useless at this stage and shouldn't be in early access. I requested a refund.. this should be fixed asap.

I love the different furniture choices and planning out the layout of each tiny home. I'm already obsessed with tiny homes, so this is a win. The only con I have is I wish there were more color choices and wall art choices, but it is still in early access. I'm looking forward to new spaces and design pieces.

I love how small spaces is so far. There can still be a lot to offer such as introducing window furnishings, other styles, different places, roof lighting, or even a create your own space too. So far so good, and pretty easy to manouvre around the map space too.

Cute game that I think will be awesome by the time of it's full release! Bring on the new decoration packs!
