I like playing crime simulator. Although there are many problems the game is just fun for me. Here are some of the problems that I remember listed below (Not in any order)
1. (Progression) Long progression, I'm 40 hours in and I still have yet to beat the game. This may be a problem for some, but I really like games with long progression especially if I think it's fun and unique. I have reached level 13 and unlocked reader, stealth 2, strong 2, electronics 2, pick lock 3, agility 3, and 7 world rewards. My reason for not having stealth 3 nor strong 3 is because for some reason when spamming the tier 2 - 3 boxes, certain skill books just stopped showing up.
2. (Items) Basically no good reason to farm using bobby pin, stethoscope, blowtorch and like every item besides THE glass knife, and simple pick lock. Using the mentioned tools when grinding feels so meaningless to me since it's not like the items inside the safes and stuff are worth it like at all, unless if you're sigma and can play the game and actually have skill then maybe you can have also have fun. If you want to have fun and beat a CRIME simulator, not a crime SIMULATOR, it's gonna take you a long time.
3. (Police and Difficulty) If you get caught by the police playing on casual - normal difficulty, you'll probably be fine if you know the strats, which is go into a building and juking the goofyass police AI since you hopefully have agility 3 or else you might be cooked. Now if you're playing on the hard or master difficulty, just give up at that point since the police still have aimbot even though they nerfed it + they oneshot you without armor. Take note of the fact that on-top of being chased by a helicopter for commiting basiccc larceny or a civilian somehow calling the police in like 3 seconds and all of the officers patrolling just going for you, police drones are also scattered on the map like the difficulty wasn't hard enough.
4. (Grinding, My experience) WARNING Ignore this part if you don't want to keep remembering how someone else did something in a game. The main way I played the game was just spamming garage, paired with a simple pick lock and a glass knife, I was damn near unstoppable. I unlocked advanced electronics pretty late so I wasn't able to loot the 4th garage for a while, but it's definitely worth it. If the tenant spotted me, I just escaped by jumping onto the dumpster to escape and left since the cops would arrive near the garage. Mostly all I did. It might seem really boring, but it's suprisingly fun for a bored teenager with nothing better to do.
Suggestions (Mostly unrelated to the problems)
1. (Multiplayer Tab) Add a multiplayer tab where players can make a server publicly. I know there's a way to play with friends already, but adding it could still be beneficial for players who don't feel like joining the discord (Not me I swear)... or just have no friends that own this game.
2. (Police Doesn't One-shot) I think it's a waste of the health system if the only way you get damaged is by getting smacked by the tenant. This would let you at least run away from the police even if you probably won't escape on higher difficulties.
3. Add a less time restrictive game mode. Buying items like the silenced pistol isn't the best item to buy and to use in a stealth game where the police currently abuse you, feels like wasted potential for the other tools. If you decrease the time restrictions it's more time to plan instead of feeling the need to level up. The day feature would still be included but you have more days to work with, if you fail then you lose the run. I'm not exactly sure how much time should be given, but at least 10 - 40 hours.
(What I expect people who played this with friends to think)
From the trailer I watched they intended to make the game chaotic and fun with friends, but what if you have none that own this game. The game is also just too too hard to even mess around in, try to break the door like they did in the game preview and you get fked by the police. Playing casual lowers the amount of loot available, so how do they even expect us to beat the game. Because of this I have to play like the main gameplay element is just grind, to hide in the dark and steal as much loot as possible. Why even make the steam preview look so fun just to not be close to the actual game.
This is probably what I subconsciously think but I still like the game though
Anyways enough yapping, I clearly have just have a skill issue. This is just my personal experience playing the game, made most of this review with what I can remember so might be completely wrong. (Buy it on a sale if you're good with money)
