the worst camera controls and settings and tutorial i have ever seen. Why do you need to mess with the sensitivity of a mouse in a car mechanic game? Why is there mouse smoothing? Why is the camera operated and controlled like im piloting a wheelchair? Nice tutorial, as in jarring text just flashes onto the screen when you accidentally make contact with something. If you hit escape out of surprise, good luck cause there aint no books in a garage and youll never see that tutorial box again. Tutorial requires tutoring, if you didnt know. 0/10 unplayable I just want to repair some barn finds in a long and satisfying process why does that prove impossible to achieve

This is an amazing game very easy to play if you are just switching over from a console.

Its worth it! - If you have time to get there. SPOILERS!!!!! Good game but if you expect to build your own car right off the bat please keep reading. From start to level 10 (Roughly 8hrs of playtime if you do the blue story mode orders) you wont have the space, money, or equipment to get one of the barn finds running. However at level 10 you have enough money to get a cheap-ish barn find and get it running enough to have a car to use on the workshop tracks. That for me was great it breaks up the orders if i want to take a break from them and go do donuts. Next is level 10-12 (Roughly 2hrs if you are doing story missions and transmission issue orders only.) This is where i think most people actually buy the game for. Lots of equipment, decent amount of money, and more space. I stopped building my first engine for my foxbody barn find to add this review for anyone getting it on the steam sale going on like I did the other day. P.s. Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is a solid and surprisingly relaxing game. It does a great job of capturing the satisfaction of taking things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together. The attention to detail in the car parts and repair processes is impressive, and there's a nice sense of progression as you upgrade your garage and tools. While I personally think the 2021 version improves on a lot — especially in graphics, variety, and overall polish — the 2018 edition still holds up well and offers a rewarding experience for anyone who enjoys simulation games or has a passion for cars.

Very fun, very relaxing, much learning

Such a good vibey game would reccomend when on sale for a cheap price, also the dlcs are very cheap and quality.

Adds a few more mechanics to the game and makes it less simple than the previous games. Overall, I like it but some of the jobs get tedious with all the extra manual steps the previous games didn't have. 8/10 rating for this category
