Even on the highest difficulty, it is absurdly easy to win re-election. Why am I getting like 80%+ of the vote when I'm unpopular with certain groups. In real life, getting 50%+ of the vote in many countries is seen as a political feat.

Not worth playing. I had fond memories of playing Democracy 3 as a teenager, so I thought I'd pick Dem 4 up on sale. Unfortunately, its 'complex' simulation is depressingly facile. It is so easy to game the system, that there is no challenge. Even the achievements are a dooze! As a politics simulator, this game is not at all nuanced, and presents very little understanding of political ideologies. If I were browsing the Steam sale again, this would be a pass for me.

It's a fun-filled afternoon or evening of ruining a country. Those interested in current events or politics will certainly want to try this out (especially if it is on sale).

I think this is a great game to see (more or less) how hard it is to stay true to your ideas and still make peole happy but if you want to be a asshole you can do that too !

The bug which prevented it from booting up has now been fixed, and it is a fun game. Some of the policies don't seem viable when they should be when used alongside other ones, so it sometimes feels like there is always a "correct" option to play, which takes away from the fun of trying to make certain policies work.

Yes. I do want to carbon tax Canada for 100% while doing everything in my power to get Canadians to use more carbon. These spaceprograms and secret police aren't going to pay for themselves

The game is amazing but, the problem is, it is too repetitive. For your next game, you should make sure to make at least a 10000 events, because, less than 50 events becomes repetitive for the casual gamer who loves those kind of games. And i cannot imagine for the gamers who are serious about this kind of game genre, it turns boring fast.

Just no. Waste of money. This game is so ridiculously easy, to the point where it isn't fun. Elections are a guaranteed victory, even if you want to shove the Constitution up your ass. Additionally, the gameplay is just so boring and dry... and you just end up doing the same shit over and over again. Don't buy...

For some reason, every now-and-then it begins to lag, particularly when pop-up texts are animating. I turned down the animation duration, reduced resolution, allowed disable DPI-aware, went fullscreen, and unchecked transitions, and yet this happens.

Fun turned based game, not too complicated and easy to get into.

If you like fiddling around with sliders, then this is the game for you. A gross oversimplification of how governments and nations actually work - treat this game as a political parody, not a simulator.
