FInally 100%, wow did I lose some hair and gained some more stress ulcers. Genuinely a fun game and worth the amount of time put in it. To this day, Stormy Ascent, you can suck it. Uninstalling and we out. o7

90% off in the sale so only about the price of a sandwich? Sure! Am I having a fun time? Not really. I never played these games on my Playstation back in the day so don't have any real nostalgia for them and wow are they ever frustrating. About half of my playtime seems to be cursing the hitboxes and swearing at my computer that I definitely, definitely made that one jump that it says I didn't.

Good game and port but by default it's limited to 60FPS and forces a weird implementation of V-Sync that causes uneven frame pacing even if you turn it off in settings. VRR only works in fullscreen but it also changes your screen refresh rate to 60Hz. Install SpecialK and follow the instructions on PCGamingWiki to unlock framerate, disable/replace this game's V-Sync so VRR works in borderless fullscreen and fixes frame pacing (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_N._Sane_Trilogy#High_frame_rate)

"Moving around in some maps can really test your patience, and the platinum relics were definitely made by the devil — but these were games from my childhood, and I’ve loved playing them again and beating them 100%." "If you’re just going for the gold relics, it'll take you around 30–50 hours. But if you're aiming for the platinum ones... get ready to suffer."

I'm split on this one. On one hand, it looks good and runs smoothly. On another....for a platforming game, the overall 'feel' of the controls is abysmal. Not good. Locked to 37 FPS, which suggests that input handling is tied to frame rate. Oh dear. For a lack of better words, the physics feels 'mushy'. Movement is delayed by a few fractions of a second whenever you press a movement key. There's also what feels like a 'snapping' to the nearest block or platform, which feels absolutely awful when you're trying to aim for a specific distance on a path. Sometimes, you might even get Crash moving a significant distance (1-3 crates' worth) when you tap a movement key to move a touch closer to an edge. Is it related to the fact that the hitboxes of the characters are now elliptical instead of cylindrical? Is that rounded bottom on their hitboxes somehow pushing the characters much further than they should? I don't know. But it certainly didn't feel better than the original trilogy of games. Unless you have strong nostalgia for this and no longer have the original PS1 versions, I would suggest thinking hard before purchasing this one. Is your nostalgia strong enough to overcome the design and implementation flaws? Maybe it's worth it then.

Childhood™ remake. Still as good and as rage inducing as 10-20 years ago. 12/10. And even if you haven't played the OG trilogy on PS1/PSX, you still will have a blast cause this game is sooo goood.

UPDATE: I found an even more reliable fix by going into the program settings in Nvidia Control Panel and just increasing the max frame rate. Not sure about AMD users. I had played this on PS4 way before I moved to PC. So far I have had no issues that prevented me from playing the game. The only thing I had to fix was the screen tearing, which was an easy fix by just going to the Nvidia Control Panel, selecting the game in the 3D Settings, and enabling fast-sync under the V-Sync category. Now I am able to get through Crash 1 (and soon 2 and 3) without hurting my eyes.

While I enjoyed the little time I spent with it, it just didn’t hit the same as it did when I was a kid. The movement, in particular the jumping, feels extraordinarily janky and the input lag resulted in the majority of my deaths more so than my lack of skill, which admittedly was quite rusty. I managed to complete the first island, but when I went to save the game, the confusing save/load menu caused me to accidentally load my previous save instead of overwriting it! And while, like I said, I enjoyed my time with it, I didn’t enjoy it enough to redo all of that again, reliving my frustration with the input lag on the same levels I just did. A shame because this, along with Rayman, was the first ever game I owned as kid on the original PS1, and I loved it back then. I just have less tolerance for these kinds of issues today.

Honest Review After Buying the Game on Steam for the First Time: First off, devs — FIX YOUR GODDAMN GAME!! The game is fun but... If you're thinking about buying this game, go ahead only if you're planning to actually finish it. If not, I wouldn’t recommend it. I have to warn you — this game is way harder than you think. It’s even harder than Cuphead! Don’t believe me? Just search for rage compilations. Now, what I meant when I told the devs to fix their game: the object hitboxes are completely off, and the perspective makes it really hard to tell how far or high you need to jump. The thing I hate the most is the Game Over screen. After playing for two hours, the last thing you want is to hear that guy laughing at you. Instead of just remaking the game and putting it on Steam, they should’ve fixed the glitches too — but I guess they didn’t really care.

The controls are just not there. Not as tight as the originals, misjumps happen too frequently and it all escalates very quickly into unfair and irritating deaths. Want Crash? Emulate it instead.

After going full 100% and earning all 74 achievements 🏆, here’s my take on the trilogy. First things first: it’s nostalgic, polished, and super fun... BUT if you’re hunting for that shiny platinum, be warned — it’s really hard 😵‍💫
Crash Bandicoot
The OG. The beginning of it all. Controls? Pretty basic — just jump and spin. And that’s all you get 😅 This one is BY FAR the hardest of the trilogy. I recommend starting here while your mind is still fresh. By the end, you’ll face Stormy Ascent... aka the nightmare level. Going for the gold relic there is pure pain — but once you get it, it feels like you just beat Dark Souls blindfolded. The gameplay is stiff compared to the other two, but the nostalgia and sense of “island adventure” keep it alive.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Peak childhood nostalgia for me 🥹 This game adds way more progression and variety. The crystals give purpose to each level, and now you’ve got the slide move! That alone changes the way you run, jump, and do time trials — it’s a game changer. Not as punishing as Crash 1, and once you unlock the running shoes, time trials become way more manageable. Solid stages, fun design, banger soundtrack 🎶
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
The big evolution. You unlock new powers after each boss: double jump, hover spin, etc. It’s easily the most modern and smooth of the trilogy. Level design? Clean. Gameplay? Fluid. Difficulty? Honestly, the easiest one to 100%. But still really fun to play! If you made it this far chasing platinum, you’ll feel at home — the extra abilities make things way less frustrating.
Final Thoughts
The trilogy is totally worth it — whether you’re just here for some platforming nostalgia or ready to grind for that glorious platinum. It’s not easy... but it’s SO satisfying. Highly recommend for casuals, collectors, and Crash fans in general 👊 Crash Bandicoot 🕹️ Casual: 6/10 🎯 Platinum Hunters: 8/10 Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back 🕹️ Casual: 9/10 🎯 Platinum Hunters: 8/10 Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped 🕹️ Casual: 9/10 🎯 Platinum Hunters: 7/10 🕒 Average time to beat casually: 15h 🏆 Average time for platinum: 46h ⭐ Final Rating: 9/10

Only reason Downvote: Game Launched in 4k Windowed Mode. I spent an hour trying to get to the options without being able to see the bottom half of the screen because the game kept launching in to large of a window. It's a known issue. However in order to access the Settings I had to take screenshots of each window. If I had paid full price I would be very upset.

GET DURING STEAM SUMMER SALE 2025, it is only $3.99! That's a great deal, and the lowest it has ever been with a total of 86 levels! $1.33 per game you cannot go wrong if you like platformers. I recommend getting this version over Xbox Series X/S or PS5/PS5 PRO because it is locked at 30FPS while this says its locked at 60FPS, but turn it too fullscreen and turn off vsync, and you'll be able to run it even higher, i'm playing it at 120FPS, and I've never seen Crash look so smooth!

Feels like a polished version of the game I use to play. I'm starting with 2, and have so far beat the first warp room. The only thing that feels off are some of the jumps, but overall the same. *** I will say that it feels easier than the PS1 version so far. The timing of some slide jumps feel very forgiving, the hoverboard is easier to control, Ripper Roo is much easier in this version; you just have to stay on the bottom half of the platform and barely move. It definitely scratches that nostalgia itch; will for sure 100%+ it like I've done a few times before!

My Review of Crash Bandicoot: 9.5/10 🔥 This game is exactly like the classic Crash Bandicoot we all grew up with — same gameplay, same crazy fun, same vibes — but fully upgraded to 4K with enhanced graphics! They nailed the nostalgic feeling while polishing everything up to modern standards. It’s like the original, just way sharper, smoother, and more beautiful. I had so much fun playing that I couldn’t stop until I got the Platinum Trophy 💎 It was pure joy — challenging, rewarding, and a perfect throwback to the good old days!

Crash Bandicoot. PlayStation Icon. Naughty Dog's first real hit. The Sonic's Ass Game. Nice set of games from 1996-1998 all remade in HD with new visuals and sounds. Now able to play as Coco in the first two games as well most of the levels in Warped beyond her own original set and there are time trials for all of the levels throughout the trilogy beyond just Warped.. No option to toggle on the original music tracks though. You get the two DLC levels of Stormy Ascent for Crash Bandicoot and Future Tense for Crash Bandicoot: Warped pre-installed with this PC port by Iron Galaxy. If you are getting NST and having issues with frame rate, be sure to go to Nvdia Control Panel, go into 3D Management setting and set FPS to 60 FPS for smoother frame rate. You can use the Vicarious Vision screen to test out how smooth you want it. Be sure to check the community posts for more info. I recommend picking it up. Especially if you get it on sale at a low price. You're getting a real bargain with three full-games in one packages and it even doesn't cost you 80. For the love of all things, can we please have Iron Galaxy put CTR Nitro-Fuelled on PC? You're leaving a lot of money on the table here guys. Put it on Steam and you have yourself a best seller for a now-six year old game. Just a thought.

This game launches in an improper resolution You will likely have great difficulty playing if you are not using a 4k screen Not really acceptable to release a game that forces an uncommon resolution onto everyone, requiring people to make actual videos and walkthroughs on how to set the settings correctly in order to see the game, after launching the game

Hardest part of the game was trying to get it to work on my pc lol. If it weren't for that, I'd recommend it. So many bugs, first bug was the typical 4K window start up, second bug didn't even let me get to the 4K window it just kept closing the game on me so I had to unplug my second monitor in order to play the game, took several hours of trying different things but I got it to work. On another topic, bring Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled to pc. I own that game on playstation, xbox, and the switch, and would buy again if that means I can play with my friends on pc.

3 Great Games for 1,33$ each. I would say pretty good deal. If your game starts with black or white screen you need to change your refresh rate to 60hz in Windows, then it will work. Also controller works perfectly on this Steam edition too.

Get the game only if it's deeply discounted. Played all 3 during the PS1 era and the controls of the game feels off. Guess it's more infuriating that the developers suggest the change as "more challenge" when it's clearly more of a flawed redesign. Mechanics aside, great looking game.

Good remaster, worth it on sale. Good platformer that's very linear old school memorization and timing. Resizing the screen wasn't bad and hasn't been an issue after it was done. Shrink your screen resolution in windows settings for the computer so you can see to the game menu, then resize the game in game options menu (any of the 3 games options just hover over one) go back to settings for the computer and reset to your normal screen size.

Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy is an amazing remaster of the first three Crash Bandicoot games which were available on PlayStation 1 & PlayStation 2. The games play exactly as they were in the original games and has a few other improvements besides the 4k / 60FPS graphics To be absolutely clear, this collection contains the following games: - Crash Bandicoot (1996) - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997) - Crash Bandicoot: Warped (1998) Wondering what's new? Here's a list! - Completely overhauled graphics and animations - Remastered audio and cutscenes - Unified save and checkpoint systems - Time trials added to all three games - Playable Coco Bandicoot in most levels - Two bonus levels: Stormy Ascent and Future Tense If you loved playing the old Crash Bandicoot games, then this collection is for you! I 100% recommend this game, even at full price. It's worth every penny. Never played Crash Bandicoot? Feel free to leave a comment below and I will get back to you when I can. Crash Bandicoot This is where it all began. N. Sanity Beach will forever be etched in my memory it’s such an iconic starting level. Seeing it brought to life in the remastered version was incredible. The visuals and animations are vibrant and beautiful, and the developers clearly poured a lot of love into recreating the environments faithfully. What amazed me was how quickly the controls came back to me muscle memory kicked in, and I was clearing levels with surprising ease. It was like reconnecting with an old friend. That said, the hitboxes in this game (and across the trilogy) can be a little wonky. I died plenty of times from what felt like non contact with enemies or by sliding off rounded platforms for no clear reason. While frustrating at first, I eventually learned to adjust. One of the highlights in the remake was the inclusion of Stormy Ascent, the infamous level that was originally cut from the original game. It’s pure platforming hell, but finally being able to conquer it felt immensely rewarding. 100% completion was a grind, no doubt, but it was the kind of grind that felt worth it. Every gem and every box was a badge of honor. Overall just an amazing simple platformer game that I recommend for everyone. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Now, I know Crash 2 is widely considered a fan favorite, often praised for its improvements and polish but for me, it just didn’t click. In fact, it was a pretty miserable experience. Yes, the game introduces cool new mechanics like crouching, sliding, and the slide jump combo. On paper, those sound like great additions. But personally, I never enjoyed them, even in the original game. The level design in Crash 2 often leans heavily on trial and error. Unlike the more intuitive flow of Crash 1, where deaths felt like my own mistake, here I constantly found myself dying in cheap, unexpected ways. I had to memorize level layouts instead of reacting naturally and that made progress frustrating rather than fun. Enemies were tougher, which could’ve been interesting, but many of them had odd patterns or gimmicks that the game barely explained. Sometimes I just avoided them altogether, not wanting to risk another death when lives were already so hard to come by. Compared to other entries, Crash 2 is weirdly stingy with extra lives. I’d go through entire levels without seeing a single life box, forcing me to get Wumpa fruit just to get one more life. Ice physics and Nitro boxes added another layer of annoyance. The ice mechanics felt inconsistent, and the Nitro boxes while tense and exciting at times were too often placed in cheap positions. A single misstep meant instant death, and it rarely felt fair. The final boss fight against Cortex? Completely underwhelming. It felt like an afterthought especially compared to the buildup and difficulty of some of the levels before it. As for 100% completion… let’s just say I respect anyone who manages it without a guide. The backtracking, hidden exits, and obscure gem requirements made the process feel more like a chore than an achievement. It didn’t feel like the natural evolution of the series it felt like padding. Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped Now this felt like a true step forward. The story was more engaging, the bosses were much more creative and fun, and the overall level design struck a great balance between challenge and enjoyment. The new level types like bike races, plane levels, and jetski levels added fresh variety to the formula. They were a blast to play, and I appreciated the developers experimenting with new ideas. That said, they didn’t always feel like traditional Crash levels. Sometimes they lacked the platforming precision that made the first game special, and their overuse made me miss the tighter, more focused platforming sections. The addition of new abilities like double jump, death tornado spin, and the bazooka made Crash feel super powered. Maybe too super powered, actually. These upgrades made some levels almost trivial, which took away a bit of the challenge. Still, they were undeniably fun to use. Themes of the levels like medieval castles, Egyptian tombs, and futuristic cities were visually stunning and varied, and the soundtrack tied everything together nicely. Compared to Crash 2, the difficulty felt much fairer and more consistent, while still offering a solid challenge. 100% completion was still tough, but far more manageable and less tedious than its predecessor. Secrets were better hinted at, and the reduced need for excessive backtracking made the overall experience much more enjoyable. Replaying the Crash trilogy reminded me why Crash Bandicoot is so beloved, even decades later. The first game remains my personal favorite. Simple and hard, but endlessly fun. Crash 2 may be a fan favorite for its refined mechanics, but I found it more frustrating than fun. And Crash 3 felt like the perfect blend of creativity and polish, even if it occasionally strayed too far from its platforming roots. This remake does a phenomenal job honoring the originals while giving them a modern look. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the series, there's a lot to love here just be ready for a challenge (and maybe a few rage quits along the way).

A childhood classic, that has done well to stick to its roots without straying too far from what made the game great. The graphical enhancement of Crash Bandicoot and other notable characters is great, while also making the games feel like the original Crash trilogy series. Definitely a must buy if you've grown up with the Crash series, but also good for those looking to pick up a game with some challenge, but enough to keep you invested.

This game is such a classic. Played it as a kid, played it when it first released on PS4 and now again. Almost done with 3, a few big annoyances though: - The controls are not always responsive, VERY frustrating when you are doing timed levels. And honestly, the biggest "sin" in a platformer. - No 'restart' button on normal levels ?? But there is one when you are doing timed levels?? SO SILLY. - Some levels and enemies are rage inducing lol, but that's part of the experience I guess :D - Last one, I REALLY hate that the slide button is the same as the ground slam, really tested my patience with that one.

The game has a keyboard bug which causes it to hang and need re-plugging in repeatedly, even when the game is in the background. A great game, on the original hardware or an emulator only. This could have been a great remaster, but it's been poorly made in several key areas. I got it for 90% off, but spent the money I saved in time trying to get it to play properly, I recommend you look at the discussions page before going anywhere near this. Most of the issues are fixable, but there is a massive input freeze bug that locks your system keyboard on some machines (even with the 3rd party dinput fix). This bricks your system until you disconnect the Keyboard physically. In 2025, nobody should be having to code DirectInput shims, let alone be unable to process basic Keyboard I/O. Completely shameful as a development product which costs people actual money. In terms of the actual game, if it is your first time with the franchise, do it on a console or emulator. It's an amazing 3D platformer when it works, with honestly a much more interesting design than veterans such as the Mario series. But for the love of all that's good in the world, rip a CD image and emulate instead of tearing your hair out over this. TL/DR: Get ePSXe instead and some CD images for a seamless experience. Avoid this completely.

Going to say no on this. The controls aren't as precise as they need to be (slippery and run speed isn't fluid from walk to sprint). A lot of cheap deaths in this game. The 2nd boss is really stupid. The game starts out fine, but within an hour, you are going to be cursing. Don't even think about getting this game if you want to 100% it while not being bald. Spyro Triology 10000000kx better.
