the controls and UI are some of the worst I've ever experienced, they must have been purposely designed to be as awful as possible.

The devs decided to make a game that throws away all of the basics of 2d platformers.... literally trying to rewrite how you use a controller, how a 2d platformer feels, jumping, etc etc. If the game wasn't so boring then I might like this. Why does the game continue running while I am paused? Ridiculous.

Yeah this game is good, i havent played any souls before, this being my intriduction to the souls-like genre, its fun, very rewarding if you dedicate to explore a little, the game can feel kinda clunky sometimes, and the lore is good, almost 70 hours spent on the game, i redomend.
