The online game is completely broken. Turn skip, missing resources, Tag not apeAring on playing some card. And the freaking timer; start when your openen end is turn but your timer is on while animation are still playing... DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

This game is horrid simply because you are bound to a clock that forces ridiculous play speed, then the clock doesnt stop when you need and expect it to and you instantly get booted from game, I'm so done with this crap... this game NEVER gets updated UI... just crappy new "expansions"

Unfortunately the game is broken and full of well-known bugs that make your game experience horrible. I don't think it is good idea to support devs who obviously do not care about their own game with your money. There are a lot of other places where you can play Terraforming Mars online like BGA. Hard dislike.

The best game I have ever played! Thrilling from start to finish. Lots of decisions to make that all might change the outcome of the game. The winning strategy change depending on situation, so there is not any "ultimate strategy" that always lead to victory. I have played it 957h now and is still thrilled and is still learning. Just wonderful!

Amazing board game. The nuance and impact of player's decisions puts Terraforming Mars in a class of its own. It's a good digital adaptation for playing private games. All of my playtime is in online games with friends and can't recall any disconnects. The UI can be a little unfriendly. There's no undo button, and it feels bad to play the wrong card when many cards look pretty similar. It will also let you take actions that aren't possible anymore, like a standard project for an aquifer when no oceans remain. Worst case we've ran into is a non-interactive board state, but the player left and re-joined without issue. Something I really like is that animations happen as soon as an action is confirmed, which minimizes the amount of sitting idle waiting for my next turn. Many other digital board games don't show anything until end of turns, and there can be lots of down time. With the prelude and map expansions, there's a ton of replayability, very different strategies everytime I play.

It's nice to play Terraforming on pc rather irl, it automatically counts, it deals way faster, no hassle, I do miss the bricks, those were neat, all in all very enjoyable for space nerds, and complex board game lovers

I love this board game...In real life. Problem with online is that it's constantly, CONSTANTLY bugging out that every game there is a risk of you not finishing it because the game freezes on someones turn. It's also just not fun when people randomly leave the game, starting playing with humans, finish playing with bots. But overall, the game is good, how it's been digitised is crap, and it's not just this game, Carcassonne has the EXACT same problems, so i'm pretty sure it's coding problem where the matches just keep breaking. I'd say fix but it's been 8 years, get the actual board game.

The game is extremely buggy. I've played tens of online games and probably around half of them have had some sort of a game-breaking glitch, such as disconnections. While I love the board game itself, the technical implementation of this version is a complete disaster.

Love Terraforming Mars. My single favorite board game in the world. Mechanically this game is a faithful adaptation and it looks great but it is all ruined by the horrible timer and the karma mechanic. You cannot join games with more than one player or expansions until you accumulate "karma" but timing out causes you to lose karma. Meanwhile timers are all desynced, do not faithfully reflect game time spent, and tick down on opponents turns. People will tell you to skip animations so you regain control, but that is only part of the problem and even then you should not be punished for actually playing the game they made without skipping it. Great game, horrible matchmaking system and timer.
